First, check your state laws. Most states (and I think the Feds) require that fog lights MUST turn off when you switch to high beams. "Driving" lights MUST switch off when you switch to low beams. Trying to do it without a feed from the headlights is probably illegal. referring to the ones that will be mounted on my rollbar. sorry, i should have just said that in the first place :dunce: also , where is a good place to get a relay for the ones that will be tied in with the headlights? So how would i do it without tying them in with the headlights?

I just picked up some used fog/driving lights with no wiring and rather than paying out the wazoo for a harness from a company, i want to just do it myself. So the question is what parts and what gauge/type of wire will i need to to wire 55watt lights. also a half arsed diagram would help if someone has one. thanks! Erik :beerhead:

I'm headed to the JY tomorrow and i was thinking about getting a "new" cluster with a tach in it, the one i have now has all gauges and a low fuel light being the only idiot light. would this be an easy swap? and is there a particular cluster i should search for? Erik :beerhead:

i have a couple more questions but i didnt want to make another topic for them. 1 i have seen bushwacker fender flares lables as 2door xj/mj flares, so am i to understand that 2 door xj flares are the same as the ones for an mj? 2 how many amps is the stock alternator for the renix 4.0 and how many 100 watt lights can run off of it(or the mathmatical equasion for me to figure it out myself). The MJ i pulled it from was there fo at least 9 years, i know because its the first one i ever saw, and it was dry inside. Maybe there was a really thin adhesive and i didnt notice it or something. But if you guys are telling me there is supposed to be a seal there, then i will put one in. any recommendations? Erik :beerhead:
