    sooo...

Well, I'm not home, and not at an internet cafe or anything, and somehow posting this, and definitely not from the cell phone.n ;)
  3. It will definitely run synthetic. I'd never run anything but. Guess it will be some DIY stuff to do... maybe a slightly shaved head????
  4. You didn't put the free candy sign on your box van again, did you? :D
  5. I know the 4.7L V8 came in the 99-04 Grand Cherokee's, as well as 97 or 99+ Ram 1500's and also Dakota's and Durango's. My question is, what is there available for aftermarket? Cams, lifters, timing chains, cranks, whatever else... I am looking into adding a few extra ponies into my 4.7L before it gets dropped into the MJ. I'm not going to go crazy, as it will end up being a DD/weekend wheeler, but maybe a total of 30HP/40ft-lbs trq tops. I plan on rebuilding the motor before it gets installed so it will be pretty fresh, and figure a little bit of tweaking can't hurt anything. In my searches, so far, all I have found is a offset camshaft key in 1*,2*,3*,4*,5* increments, from Mopar Performance. FYI, its a 4.7L out of a 99 Grand Cherokee, with a 45RFE tranny sitting behind it. Stock now, with just under 100,000 miles on it. I honestly thought the aftermarket would be pretty big on this engine, and I hear chips are available, so I will look into getting one of them. Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. they need jeep parts in hospitals, well, at least power wheels ones to drive around... :D oh, and welcome back.
  7. How about a farm equipment dealer, or check out farms around town, farmers will know where to get them, it's their business to know. I should mention, they will probably give you some odd looks when you tell them what the tires are going on...
  8. I already got a new job at the new job, more important, and i deal with 2 good lookin girls at work too now... I can't complain about the money, its pretty good. I was gone to just a little south of Green Bay, WI.
  9. home that is, till monday... Best buy better give me my laptop back tomorrow, otherwise I'm gonna have a $#!&fit with them, been over a month.... Anywho, I can't really do too much to the MJ right now, it's going long arms, and most likely will be finding a 4.7/45rfe under the hood, along with dual optima yellow tops, and a warn 12k/lb powerplant. MOAB's have been sourced for it (very cheap, and mint condition), so tires are now on the list. I'm sure i'm forgetting some stuff...
  10. Well, they moved me into an apt, and now i have no net access beyond my cell.
  11. ACOS spacers are fully adjustable, i think to 3.5 or 4 inches, IIRC. they are made of aluminum and incorporate a poly bushing. but I've seen them on several rigs, and they are nice.
  12. I know they are an great upgrade, but they are i think 3/4" longer than stock mj/xj ones, so they are great for a little bit of lift, and keeping the wheel centered in the wheel well
  13. I think someone still sells the spring over perches. They simply utilize your old perched for positioning, and the leafs get clamped down like that instead.
  14. Well, ya got the ghey part of Green ghey right. Now you're only about a 5 hour drive away from me. Well, I drove 12, and spent a cold friggin night sleeping in the backseat of my ZJ in some truck stop in the middle of nowhere indianna. I am however glad that I found something to purchase when I drive home through Indiana... FIREWORKS!!!!! Hells Yea!!! Fire!!! :D :D :D I'll buy a nice little supply to have some fun with...
  15. Well, I know I have at least 1 XJ slip yoke floatring around, an MJ one, and a few YJ ones as well.
  16. I've never seen the insides of an AW4 from the pan, but I have from the input shaft end. But judging by the 42RE I dismantled from my ZJ a while back, that looks like it is part of one of the bands...???
  17. I have like 3 or 4 at home, but yea, that's a 12hr drive away... I'lllet you know their lengths in about 2 weeks.
  18. Newer ones use a cable to the equalizer, so I have to do that, I think. It's not important to figure out right now anyways. Hell, my ZJ hasn't had the ebrake shoes in place for over 2 years...
  19. Well... I made it to Breen ghey, Wizzconstin.
  20. I love that movie.
  21. taking the old out was a matter of cutting the cable and unbolting it from the wall. The hand lever was as easy as roughing it out to where it needed to be, cutting a small spot out for the dip thing to fit into and drilling 3 holes for a couple self tapping screws. figuring out what ebrake cables i will need to run, and how to route them is another story, and i have yet to figure that out.
  22. Just got all my dealer crap the other day, so I'm a fresh dealer :D I think I need to be in the presence of this thing when you decide to play with it. It looks pretty cool, we can test a matchbox car or something in it so see how flat it will get! ;)
  23. One or the other, choose your weapon! They are the only two things I can think of, besides the old fashioned straight up hammer and lead shot leather bag for hand done body work.
  24. Need an english wheel to do the wheel well steps... or a bead roller with an extremely deep throat...
  25. Well, a few updates, since I havn't really given any publicly in a while... I got the interior mostly done. I just have to drill a few holes in the floor and add in a few bolts in them to mount the backs of the seat mounts to so they are secure. I mounted the new tunnel mounted ebrake lever, no more retarded pedal. I need to drill a few holes to get the center console properly mounted with self tapping screws. I put the new visors in last night, but need to lead the wiring to them, and still need to install either an overhead console, or the dome lights. The engine bay is painted, it's flat black, and I like the looks of it, really good lookin! I'm considering flat black for the exterior, the lower bodyline down is currently flat black. I also painted the tunnel, covering any bare metal I had exposed (how did it not rust?????). The rear axle is bolted up, but waiting for the drivetrain, and a driveshaft to get the pinion angle set. The front axle is half hung, I still have to finish burning in the new LCA brackets on it. I am beginning to think I may just scrap the short arms altogether and go with some long arms up front, the XJ Long Arm Upgrade Kit from Rubicon Express. For the most part, it's all just tedious work, once the suspension stuff is done. I still need to do brake lines for the driver front, and another to the rear axle. I think that's about all for now...
