I'm always intrigued by this style of shock setup. By my understandably it works well for flexing but I can never understand how it works if the axle is flexing up as a whole and not one side at a time. I'm not sure if that makes sense? It seems like the shocks would bind and in your case bend. Willy, is there any advantage to this setup as opposed to running the shocks vertical?

Drivers side outer window wipe?
RynoMJ replied to lexluthier72's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
For some reason window wipes for cherokee are extremely expensive. -
Is the cross member in the same location for these transmissions or is the ax-15 further back? I understand the mounting holes are different. I'm trying to setup my long arm and trying to figure out the cross member since some stuff isn't lining up with my BA-10 mounting.

Got the Ford 8.8 installed. Still need to weld on some tabs for the hard brake line, extend the brake control, figure out some e-brake cables, bump stops and order some shocks and that should do it for the rear. Finished up the last few things with the interior and just waiting for the seat to get back from the upholstery place. Always on the look out for B-pillar trim to replace the ones I have, the PO cut some massive holes in them. Also need to locate an ashtray that's not broken and that should do it for the interior.

Might be the sexiest rear bumper I've ever seen for a Comanche!
-
Yea but its not going in for a little while gotta have it re-geared and the new perches welded on.

Thanks I wasn't sure if stock ones are long enough, now that I think about it there was enough play in them.

My cables are in dire need of replacement before they fail. I'm currently doing an SOA with the 35 until I can get the cash to build up the 8.8 I have and swap it in. I'm assuming I'll need longer e brake cables. Does anyone know where I can order some online, All I stumble on are stock ones.

If I take the orange wire off the starter relay and touch it to positive I hear the pump come on, if this helps
-
Truck turns over and runs for about 3 seconds. I've figured out that the fuel pump is only turning on when the starter is turning. Could this be a bad fuel pump relay or ignition relay?

I'm not sure how my radio was wired up i must have screwed something up because now the radio doesn't work either. I was really trying to fix the factory way but after 4 weeks of endless troubleshooting this might be the only option.

Its an 89 5 speed.

Does anyone know if this relay is factory?
-
I think I found the issue for a minute at least. I was playing around with wires on the starter relay and the ignition switch trying to trouble shoot if there was a short or something. I ran A jumper from this green wire on the relay directly to the back of the switch and it turned over. (Don't mind the wonderful PO tape jobs.) So I figured one of those wonderful factory splices had come loose or something so when I went to wire in this new wire for further testing I discovered a relay spliced in the middle of this green wire. I don't believe this is factory and I assume this was wired in for the radio. Well now I don't have any results, radio is now completely dead, fuse is fine, and I'm not getting the truck to turn over. Battery connections and grounds are fine, the rest of the connections on the starter relay and ignition switch seem to be fine. I tried a different relay in place of the PO radio one and nothing. I'm even more lost now. My only thought is that I screwed up something with the PO relay maybe didn't put a wire back on correctly. I even tried two different starter relays. The new one was clicking at first, and the old one was humming when I first put it back in. Now I hear nothing and I'm back to square one.
