late but better then never 89 pioneer 2wd soon 4wd

so he cut them back off, ground off the welds, and redid it, yes? if not, you have a contaminated weld, and it still will not hold up. strong welds aren't something that "just happens". you can't "halfass" them...and if you're out of the proper resource to do it right from the get-go...you shouldn't even attempt to start. sorry. my brother is a welder. he balked at these welds and almost $#!& himself when he saw them. not nearly good enough. -

sorry to hear it man. I have no "good" advice to give you. I'm going to enjoy never having little feet around the house. never having someone to rob my bank account, and being able to have the toys I want, when I want. not to say I won't date....actually, I'll end up finding someone. but marriage just isn't gonna happen. a good family friend is almost 60, has been living with the same lady for 30 some years, and they are more than happy to have no kids, and spend their own money on what they want...splitting the bills otherwise. that's what I'd like.

FusionBB... do we want this for our new forum software?
JeepcoMJ replied to Automan2164's topic in The Pub
above that...there is only one thing I'd like to have, which is the "chat feature". that said, we have a chat room....soooo f it. -
FusionBB... do we want this for our new forum software?
JeepcoMJ replied to Automan2164's topic in The Pub
realistically....I'd rather have to go and update my profile and preferences again. it's not like that's a huge deal for everyone to do. if members care, they'll fix it. if they don't, they'll leave it be. -
are you guys done flirting?

@#$% you, Rob. I was happier not knowing...

ouch man....glad you didn't bite the bullet. hey, can you put me in your will for all of your jeeps just in case? ;) sorry, just wanted to throw a :wrench: in the works...

I would do a couple things... get a set of '95+ 2wd xj knuckles, spindles, and wheel bearings. this will allow you to use 4wd brake hardware (i.e. you don't have to even touch the bearings to do a brake job...). then, I'd put in a dual diaphragm brake booster from '95 to '96 as it's bolt in.

i deleted all the pics. maybe I'll get around to putting the new stuff up...idk. meh. there's enough OBA write ups out there...

Project "Black Betty"
JeepcoMJ replied to shelbyluvv's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
i think you should put the ecm/pcm where it is in a H.O. xj/mj....easy service, and there really is no point in putting it under the dash....it's less serviceable. -
aw4/floor shift? grab and pull. only works on the actually trans shift handle. apply even pressure with both hands...straddle the trans hump if needed, and you'd best put it all the way down in 1-2 before yanking so that you can pull it towards you. the transfercase handle doesn't come off until you get the carpet out...

occasionally this happens to me, as well. but when it happens, both hands get a tingly sensation up to mid forearm, and my left hand locks up, then moves by itself, and then it ends. thought it was a form of epilepsy since that has ocurred in family history, but it turns out that the shifted disc in my back is causing some nerve issues...including Multiple Directional Instability in my right shoulder (i.e. destroyed rotator cuff due to lack of unconscious muscle control on the upper right side of my back...I have to concentrate on proper posture at all times). anyways, I guess my point is...it could be tied to almost anything. it could be tied to iron poising even, depending on what type of "pain" there is.

According to the plate it is from France. (I decided to avoid the durr and sarcasm here because lets face it, we aren't exactly all experts on european license plates) yeah, I was re-thinking that. i knew the owner spoke poor english, either way. IIRC, he's on here...but hasn't been on in awhile. it's an '86.
