  1. hey guys, I'm thinking of doing a small get together @ my house on sunday after our LKQ run...I may need some help working on the eliminator to get the trans in and bolted up, as that's not really a 1 man job. if you're able to help and want to hang out, let me know. we're doing this either outside of my pole barn, or inside...either way, it's not heated.
  2. I'm planning on getting 87-94 tan leather limited seats 91-95 cruise control servo/motor 95-96 cruise control panel looking @ getting full 98-99 charcoal dash, door panels, dash and engine wiring, computers, and electrical system plus sensors more 99.5+ intakes 4.10 geared d30 for my friend jake. 8.25 as well... any comanche parts 97 doors, front clip, fenders external slave ax15 bellhousing 96+ np242 np242 shifter handle and linkages
  3. My point was, that parts are not nearly as available as a dana 44. if you're like alot of us, used parts are in my price range...so, if I break a shaft, I'd like to find one used and cheap. I'd also like parts stores to know what I'm talking about when I go to order parts, and get it right on the first order. it's not "stupid" to wheel on an m20...but it does suck when your only options in the unlikely event that you break a shaft is to buy brand new.
  4. you forgot to mention EXPENSIVE.
  5. like pete said... hellcreek is the only place I'd consider buying from.
  6. tell us more after a year or so when they've sagged and are just generally pissing you off.
  7. ^x2 AAL's suck...I don't care what brand they are.
  8. Thanks Don. I'd like to not spend any more money than an o-ring set, and I have 92 or 96 injectors to choose from
  9. they may be...idk. I'm trying to do "free" as that's what I have.
  10. the '90 elim. had some pretty crappy injectors, and the o-ring for the fuel pressure regulator leaks. I'm wondering how much, if any, of an upgrade it would be to swap H.O. injectors in? any ideas on fuel mileage gain/loss? just a thought I had, as I'll already need injector o-rings and FPR orings anyways, why not do a small upgrade.
  11. ^doesn't understand how much of a fool I'm being to freakjeep right now.
  12. ^has made me happy because of that.
  13. ^forgot a space in his post, but it's awesome that he spelled everything right..

    Crazy mad flex

nice flex, but you're lacking in the bumpstop area if you want to keep those tires nice.
  15. yup. gonna be a daily driver, so I want the part time/full time option. the shifter will then read 2wd full time part time neutral 4 low you have your full time and part time reversed. :D 2wd part time full time neutral 4 lo eh, they're all still there.
  16. nvm then...I don't need it.
  17. good luck finding a stock replacement. aftermarket is about the only thing you'd find, if you can find it. I would NOT recommend wheeling on an MJ AMC20 because the parts are hard to find.
  18. as far as my information goes...I've seen two of them. I own one. both were 4.10 gears, but only one was limited slip. one was behind a 2.8l, the other is in my 2.1 turbo diesel. metric tonne package only. longbed only (thus 86 only) as posted, single piece axle-shafts rather than the splined hubs that AMC20's typically have. the only gears I've heard of an MJ AMC20 having were 3.73's, 4.10's, and possibly 4.56 with the auto/diesel combo. they are roughly the equivalent of a dana 44 in strength. parts are not that plentiful, and there is not much aftermarket support. brakes are special order, and parts stores think it's a dana 44 in '86 rather than an AMC20.
  19. use the camaro/firebird wiring. piggyback your factory harness. easy as pie. get an inline fuel pump that puts out enough PSI and splice it into your fuel lines. it's easy, and you won't need to tune it with a computer so long as you "trick" the 3.4l into thinking it's still in a camaro/firebird by putting all the proper up and downstreem 02 sensors back in. carbs SUCK for mileage and performance.
  20. 7 options doesnt cover it for me...
  21. 10-4 brent. dibs on the steering assembly you have...I can definitely use that. I'll be bringing a couple 10 slot grilles and the headlight bezels as well as a tan chief header panel and an OEM driver's side fender for you...I haven't had a chance to pull the pass. fender off of my xj yet.
  22. He just spent beaucoup bucks replacing the clutch, now you want him to just toss all that? And if the master cylinder is bad, it doesn't matter if he has an internal or external slave, it won't work with either one. true. I just wish he hadn't ordered the parts before he got the 5 speed from me, because I had an external slave setup for him back then.
  23. right hand drive is an immediate 3,000 dollar car. especially something with cargo space....a route driver will buy it just to deliver main.
  24. got the glass out of the channels on the broken part of the split rear. I'll have to pull the window to put the new piece in, though. Image Not Found removed the drop-in and the tonneau cover rails to find a nice clean bed Image Not Found Image Not Found overhead of sunroof Image Not Found knee board also removed Image Not Found new trans from a YJ with an np242 hooked up to it. Image Not Found old trans w/ np231. this one needs a complete tear-down...it has water in it and is frozen Image Not Found good day. it needs a new fuel pressure regulator oring, that leaks.
