For your cause, only if you can find a good shifting 4 wheel drive xj, it won't be cost effective.. All you need though is a d30 front axle, 4wd transmission and transfer case, and a driveshaft, pretty much.... I'd say keep it 2wd, but a 2" spacer in the front, maybe shackle or AAL in the rear, get some 31's, and keep it 2wd... Mine is 2wd right now and has stock suspension and 31's and Ive been insane places....

Have you spent the best $9 you ever could on an oil-leaking 4.0? Go to the dealer (specific item) and get an oil filter adapter o-ring kit, lots of times this is the source of this problem, considering you did visual inspection of your pan, and seals before installing, and torqued everything to spec, including a retorque every 2-5 heat cycles for at least 3 times...?!

I'm not much help, other than you should know that the nV3550 will not let you down, and it's REAL easy to swap out the shaft on that nP231, my buddy only paid $50 for his, I'll be ordering me one soon as well. [/b]

People would talk about it all the time in their "xj bastard pack" write ups if it was any good. I'm guessing theyre way too soft for an XJ. If you need that type of lift, here's what was done to my XJ XJ main leaf dakota full pack 1" shackle roughly 3.75" lift

Definitely a love/hate relationship w/me and mud. I hate it, but once I'm in it I love it, and if there are winches around, I love it even more. Why would my locker choice matter as far as steering onroad? 4.7L from titan. It'll be worth it for me, getting a good deal. And my current motor will be used on a rail buggy jeep style. BTW, this isn't my first Jeep, by any means.
