I have a complete 4" BDS lift for a WJ. Would like $500 for it but... I just bought another MJ.

My version must be different. I can't drop vehicles in the packs folder. I can't even find it. I open the streams folder and then go into vehicles and drop the zip file in there. It has worked for most of the files. I was having the problem with the XJ just crashing the game. Some how I deleted the zip file and the XJ stayed. It works but my CPU is too slow for it. I got a trailer pack that has 2 trailers in it. One with a gate and one without. I had to drop that pack in the terrain folder to get them to work. There are a few other packs that have been freezing the game on start up too. I do not know why they do it. Can someone take a screen capture of the proper way to download vehicles into the pack folder? I think a lot of compatibility issues are because I am going about it the wrong way to introduce vehicles into the game.

I'll do a write up then! I will be mounting a tire later next week. The wheel is new and so is the tire.
-
I do it all the time. To remove Remove the valve core. Place tire under bumper of Jeep. Use a HiLift to break the bead. Flip over and break the other bead. Pry the tire off the BACK of the rim using 2 big screw drivers and a 3/4 open end wrench. To install Lube the bead with a 50/50 mix of Dawn dish soap and water. Slam the tire onto the rear of the wheel at a 45 degree angle. Use you knees push it down and big screw drivers to pry it the rest of the way on. Lube the bead with a 50/50 mix of Dawn dish soap and water. Lift the tire up and start the other bead on the wheel. Keep pressure on the bead and pry it on with the 2 big screw drivers. It is really easy. I can do a set of 4 tires in about an hour.

Just what ever I can take a stock WJ on. I will get another XJ in a couple years and build it. I want to focus on my trucks at this point.
-
I have always had a love for showing cars. It is something I just can't shake. I do not enjoy body damage or breaking parts. The shiny paint and clean interiors get me going.
-
I thought about smaller doors. It does look a tad better. But, there would be zero leg room back there. This truck will be our tow rig/family truckster for going to shows and other events. My interest are changing again. I am over the whole wheeling thing for awhile. I want to broaden my fab skills by making things I have always wanted. A Comanche sport trac (of sorts) is one of them. I learned so much while building Onyx. It has fueled my passion for over building vehicles again.

The bed will be cut up. A lot actually. The frame will not be cut in half and stretched. Nor will a XJ or MJ be cut in half and welded together. Wait for the build thread and all will be revealed. This will be a 2+ year long project. Don't expect to see it come together in a timely manner.
-
No. The frame will be uncut. and it will have a separate bed. It will be all Comanche for the most part.
-
I will be taking one of these (not this one) (I found the pic on the web) And building it into this. This truck will have a 4.7 V8 (WJ or Dakota drive train), D44 and 9" combo (small Bronco), 8" lift, 36" tires, and 97+ interior from a XJ donor. Likes, dislikes?

The GOV has my computer locked down. Can someone please email me a straight on side pick of a LWB MJ. It can be stock, lifted, but I need the bed un-chopped. I am working on a project and need a pic. Send the pics to robert.l.kennedy@usmc.mil Thanks

PM JohnnyC and ask him if he can help you. I know he has done it to his. There was a write up in JP about it too. You can see a pic of Johnny's best side in it, lol! EDIT HERE IT IS. http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/body/154_0901_jeep_cherokee_xj_door_upgade/index.html -
Chrysler's New Midsize UNIBODY Pickup for 2011????
shelbyluvv replied to comanche09's topic in The Pub
Maybe they will bring back my beloved Rampage. This was my old 84 I sold a few years ago. It was uni-body and front wheel drive. -

I will say that I have such and such truck. IE: year, model, drivetrain, and bed length. I will not be providing my VIN # on an open source like a forum. Call me paraniod if you want. -

I had a BDS 4" lift with some 265/75/16 Mud Dawgs. Which are nothing more than a Maxxis Big Horn. I never had any DW problems with the BDS lift. I surely did with the Crusty's lift though. I have the lift and tires for sale on http://www.nagca.com for $800. See my post above if you are looking for bumpers too. I might sale the rock rails as well. It may be worth it for you to drive to GA and get everything in one shot. http://www.nagca.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38404 YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!

Find me a stock 04 bumper (in graphite) with fog lights, some factory tow hooks, and $200. I will give you the bumper. I am going to ditch the rear tire carrier as well. I need a stock rear cover and a hitch too. My bumper is welded to the hitch to make it removeable. I am going to return her to stock for the most part.

I spent a little time with my son yesterday taking the Dragin' Wagon from this... To this... I know some of you are asking yourselves, "Why would you do such a thing?" The answer is simple. Money. I was dumping $40-$50 a week in the tank of the WJ. It was getting 13 MPG city and 16 HWY, (if I kept it at 60 mph). Now I get 17-18 city and 21-22 HWY at 70+. I only paid $200 for the rims and tires too. They will pay for them selves in a couple months. I also missed the quiet and smooth ride the wagon had stock. I was really starting to hate the Jeep and was thinking about getting rid of it. I am in love with her all over again now. This was the best money I have ever spent on this Jeep. Not to mention the quality time with my boy yesterday tearing it down to put the BB back on was priceless. We are sore today but it was worth it.

Name that Tune in "x" Notes? (Audio of Engine!)

Lifter. They are a PIA to change too. Leave it be until it blows. A lot of times you can run a little diesel fuel in the oil and it will clear the blockage in the lifters. Once in awhile it will kill the rest. It is a crap shoot. -
Wow, is all I can say! I had a few of my Marines get MRSA and that is some scary stuff. I am glad to read you are keeping your spirits up. A positive attitude will help the recovery process. I have a buddy (former Marine) who is a double amputie. He drives a stick still. Good luck with the WJ hunt. I love mine.

Ironman Suspension Products
shelbyluvv replied to JACKED88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There was a looooong post on NAXJA about him. From what I got out of it.. He was a wheeler on a budget who could fab. He started making stuff for his buddies and to sale on EBay. His little business grew and now he has a website to move a few more parts. I have heard no complaints about his products. But, his shipping could take awhile. I guess he makes the stuff on a as ordered basis. I would use his stuff if I needed it. For front springs for you MJ. Call Rockkrawler. I use and love their coils. They are some of the best that I have used. I tried RE, RC, and BDS before I went with RK's. Their springs are the best IMHO. -
Read through my build. I did not cut my truck in half. I only cut the firewall section out of the XJ to cover the stock bulkhead connector and make the steering shaft hole cleaner. All I did was use it as a cover with some seam sealer and bolts. There is no reason to do the cut and weld to ruin 2 good vehicles. The link to the build is in my sig below.

It may help Tellico. Unlikely, I know. http://cherokeescout.com/articles/2009/10/20/news/doc4ade11732f0f4994576184.txt
