  1. HAHA ya i got the orignal door for it but i was thinking of blacking out that chrome thing , i think that might look good but I'm just enjoying driving it for now ,ill give it a couple more weeks till start modifying it  . What worries me the most is that the fuel door bothers you more than the nerf steps and i personaly hate the stupid steps and would prefer a real functioning rock rail / step but the wife needs them right now so they stay :fs1: , the fuel door is asthetics and the step is a functional issue but to each their own.
  2. OK OK OK , after stealing a camera and opening a new picturetrail account (apparently there is a pic limit on the free acounts :shake: ) i finaly got some pics
  3. Well i finaly got my Power Wagon , its a 2006 patriot blue QC with the 6 speed with 36k and its loaded to the gills , dual power/heated seats , nav , sat radio , 6 disc changer , leather ,sun/moon roof, cc , premium sound , Mopar C.A.I. , procomp lights +light bar , some silly nerf step bars :ack: , dual exhaust , linex spray in bed liner and my personal favorite is the power sliding rear window  now i would post pics but my camera is MIA!
  4. Well u could go with the Holley 4b but u will have to get both the intake pieces which is gona be about 200 or more + 300-400 for the carb + maby 50 or so for the air cleaner mods etc ..... or u could go with the weber kit which is a direct bolt on kit for i think last i checked 500 or so . just food for thought here's the weber kit http://www.redlineweber.com/html/kits/k490.htm

  14. That will work perfect , and no it don't matter that its an auto . i used a a 94 auto 3.4 in my 5speed manch and it worked fine and the eddy intake but i kept all the stock electronics along with the carb here is my build thread , theres some pics and info on page 2 viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5484&start=30

  16. the decal is a big magnet , it says "Monterey Viejo Chapter 1846 . E Clampus vitus " basicly were a historical drinking society or a drinking historical society  , thats still in debate :???: . Its an orginization that was started during the gold rush era , at the time of conception in the early 1800's its members were comprised of the not so upstanding citizens of the community though not much has changed over the years . nowadays we take great care to preserve some of the lesser recognized history of our great state . Here is an artical and a small news clip of what we did just this last weekend ( i was hanging out at the top of the latter truck taking pics ) http://www.ksbw.com/news/21415107/detail.html And if u want to read more on us here is some more history http://www.irjr.com/postoffice/ecvhistory.htm
  17. The drive shaft is holding out great , i havent had a problem with it yet other than it needs more angularity but thats a CV issue and its only about 4% of the time , iv got a spare front shaft that I'm gona modify for more angularity but ill probably just wheel this one till i break it  . so here is where i mounted the compressor , the blue hose runs to the passenger rock slider that is also my air tank and the solinoid on the left runs the air horn (still have to wire the switch) and on the right is the pressure switch (thats out of sight ) ,excuse some of the loose wiring as i still have to clean it up a bit . and i managed to fit the horn in front of the radiator
  18. i managed to find a place under the hood on the left side cowl to mount my arb air compressor today , now i got to run the power to the compressor and the airlines to the tank and then find some space to mount my air horn , tidy up a few loose ends here and there and move on the next , will try to get some pics up later
  19. damn they look good , i realy like the added attaching points on the frame , iv been contemplating on how to do that but my longarm braces are in the way but ill finger it out one of thes days . i do see that the guy welded the lower portion of the fender to the rail which was realy dumb and will make removal of the fender later a real pain but did he weld the body section right behind the fender there to the rail ? if not u might want to go back and have that taken care of because mud and water are gona flow right in and potentialy rust it out . o and did u bother to save ur old rockers cus if they were solid and rust free someone on here could probably use them. and did u bother to have the guy weld the caps so they were air tight so u could use them as ur air tanks?
  20. Nah i aint gona sell the other ones , now i gota go and buy another jeep for them to go :brows:
  21. WOW  a dually s-10 , thats cool , id definetly go snag those
  22. no , it will travel in an arch when compressed and that will center the wheel , in this pic the tire is now centered in the wheel well , its kinda hard to see from the angle but its centered and there is about 3/4" gap in front of the tire and had the rear portion of the bed still been there i suspect it would have been the same amount of gap these springs have a 4" add-a-leaf stuffed in them so they aint sagged out , and besides if they were "sagging" then the springs would be either flat or negitivly arched just like the spring is in the above pic it full compression , here is that same pic from the other side a little closer the reason mine sits forward is due to the add-a-leaf which increas the arch of the spring causing it to move forward , its the same thing that happens when u lift the front of a jeep 3-4 inches and keep the stock controll arms , it moves the tire closer in to the body but as it compresses it will center its self. get it and yes I'm gona drill the spring perches to move the axle now with the biger tires , i thought about doing it befor but it never mattered with the 33"
  23. eeh , begers can't be choosers , besides they are a 100 times beter than the standard steelies that were on it ya they do kinda sit forward a bit but it looks worse than it actualy is since the lower back section of the bed is cut off it sorta magnifies it , when the suspension compresses the wheel travels which will then center the wheel
