  1. I am not saying the change is not worth it...it is well worth it in my opinion too. I think the radiator change is the wrong way to go about it. I did the radiator change before I found out about the metal tank idea. The tank would be a 20 minute job and for MUCH less money than the radiator change. We have spent a lot of time around here trying to educate people on the fact that changing the radiator is the wrong way, and hard way to convert to open. Here is a page in a build thread here showing the install of the metal tank... viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8051&p=139170#p139170
  2. That is what I did too, but it's not worth it. It is a huge pain in the @$$ and not worth the effort. Changing the tank is much easier and makes a lot more sense as well as being much cheaper. I would never trust a $60 radiator either... ;) :shake:
  3. Youth smalls are available and they are starting to get some "T" sizes in stock. Both are kinda limited in colors. I will get you more info on that as we get closer to actually doing it again, but you may have to remind me... ;)
  4. Share...?!?!?
  5. :rotf: I didn't notice that, but it appears to be a cyclops 'kittie'...

:shake:  What could they possible want with a $20 charger... Some people are not worth the air that they breathe. Now we have two threads with the same title... :rotf:
  7. Those should be a metric 14mm - 20x1. You could try soaking it with something like PB Blaster for a little while then see if a reverse drill bit will take it out, but the drilling & easy out is probably going to be what you have to do. Yes...the late model valve covers will work and they are an upgrade. If you do a little search, there is a fairly recent article about doing the swap on here. EDIT: Here it is... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12871&p=129427&hilit=ho+valve+cover#p129427
  8. Nope...the grommet that the MAP line uses is just a one line deal. The other half that looks line it should have something there is just a plug.
  9. Correct. Here is a snip from the FSM... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) Start vehicle. Pressure should be approximately 31 psi (2.1 kg/cm) with vacuum hose connected to pressure regulator and 39 psi (2.6 kg/cm) with vacuum hose removed from pressure regulator.
  10. It was a Craigslist listing for an Olds Cutlas body on a Ford Bronco frame. It stated that it runs & drives, but it's not street legal :rotf: That's really about all there is to the story...
  11. I was thinking in a couple months. There were several people that did not get in on this round for various reasons that still want to get them, so we will definitely be making more. If there is enough interest shown, we may do it sooner ;) ;) I am trying to put together a new CC Hat as well to be available for the next round

I hope you can put him/her where they belong...IN PRISON!! :fs1: I can't believe that someone with a good job in the post office would take that kind of risk :shake:
  13. There are cold air intake set-ups that will allow you to keep all the needed hoses in place. A little ingenuity and you can make one yourself using most of your existing parts ;)
  14. :hmm: I think you mean an M20... ;) There is no such thing as a D20. The Model 20 is perfectly round and the one in that pic is definitely oblong and is an 8.25
  15. You can do a Google search and find many places to buy them. I get mine through a friend that owns a shop called JeepersDen here in Orlando. 4Wheel Parts or 4 Wheel Drive Hardware are also good places to get them.
  16. It would seem that by the way the regular season has played out that the Titans & Giants would be the likely Super Bowl matchup...BUT...the last three Super Bowls have been won by Wildcard teams. The Steelers in XL, The Colts in XLI and the Giants in XLII. That being said...I would choose the Ravens vs. Giants as my second most likely Super Bowl matchup. I remain ever hopeful that the Steelers will get there, but I just don't think we have what it takes this year.
  17. That list is probably 4-5 years old now. I just happened upon it as I was cleaning out a bunch of junk from my document files ;)
