  1. I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10. It's not real "high tech", but it gets me by.
  2. Trying to decided if we like it all one color or if we should mix it up a little. We really like the dark Blue & Silver combination, but can seem to decide if we like this. I have made a mock-up of what it may look like so let me know what you think. The Blue is staying...we just need to decide on the two tone thing. My "chopping" abilities are not great so please use your imagination. The pic should change every 3 seconds if I did this right. The rest of our fleet is Blue & Silver so we figure...why not ;)
  3. As they say...hind sight is 20/20 ;) I did research the swap, but obviously not enough. It seemed to me that it would be a fairly quick and easy thing to do and with a 3 row radiator I should not have to worry about cooling in Florida's hot temps. The swap itself was very easy, but I had no idea that the fan thing was going to take 6 weeks or more to figure out :headpop: . I am with Eagle on this one. I will NOT recommend that folks do this swap as it really is not worth the hassle...BUT, I am still happy to have it working properly now.
  4. Yea...that has always been there. I have never looked to see what it's for or why it's there.
  5. IT WORKS!!!! :D I did some more searching and found that Hayden makes an adjustable controller with a 1/8" threaded sensor. I went to Lowes and bought a 3/8 to 1/8 bushing and went to work. I found the Hayden controller on Amazon for $44.14 with free shipping. Hayden part# 3651 Adjustable from 90 - 210 degrees. Moved the ballast resistor down and mounted controller here Fished the power supply through the wire loom on the front harness over to the battery. Screwed in the sensor, wired the rest according to the instructions and DONE!! Yes...I know my engine is a mess. I have a VC gasket waiting to be installed ;)
  6. Sounds very familiar...much like my story is/was too ;) :D .
  7. I grew up about 1.5 hours North of Pittsburgh (Oil City / Franklin area). I will never go back to that area...too cold and too much snow ;) .
  8. youhave no right to talk about cold weather. its been damn cold here :rotfl2: ...and I don't miss that either. I grew up in NW PA, so I am very familiar with cold and deep snow. I left up there back in 1985 and other than going back for an occasional visit with family...I am staying away from that  .
  9. We drove down there a couple weeks ago for the Southeast Jeepfest. It was REALLY HOT... nearly 90 degrees that weekend. It is not supposed to be that hot this week though. We are in the 60's here in Orlando right now.
  10. I did the AAL thing as a "short term" solution and believe me...I made the term as short as possible. I got the 3" springs from Hell Creek Suspensions and have been very happy, but...that is a fairly expensive option comparitively. Worth every penny to me though :D .
  11. If you don't have to go far, you are in cold weather and it is not pouring out as fast as you put it in...you might make it. That is a big risk, but the weather/temp may be in your favor here.
  12. It was cold here this morning... 42 degrees at the Orlando International Airport ;) It's not going to be real warm here over the next week. Temps are supposed to be in the upper 70's during the day and 40's - 50's at night.
  13. I am member #6 over there  I have been lurking on their Yahoo group (and made a couple posts) for a while now. I think it will be a good site.
  14. No...he has TBI which is one single in injector on top of the throttle body ;) . Just an FYI...as you can see, Precision Auto Injectors does sell on eBay as well, but you can not use the discount if you buy on eBay from him...only his website will honor it.
  15. No...I have been asked that a few times now...sorry. I work at a Jeep dealership and have checked on them there too, but they are no longer available...aftermarket only  .
  16. Absolutely agree... You do not want to go "cheap" on anything when building a stroker, you will only cause yourself grief and end up costing you more money than it would have to do it right to begin with. There is a group of "Jeep Stroker" folks that have a Yahoo group right now and will very soon have a website & normal forums. These guys know their stuff about strokers so keep an eye out for www.JeepStrokers.com to be up and running within the next few days hopefully.
  17. Sounds like you need a way to adjust the rod or replace it with another that is the appropriate length. I have heard of this being done and the adjustment/replacement needed, but I can't remember where I saw it right now.
  18. No problem... Just a little deal I set up for my Jeep family after getting to know the owner of that business ;) .
  19. Yes...I am extremely lucky to not have lost my MJ to that mess. Be sure to go here ( Precision Auto Injectors ) for your injectors when you are ready. Use discount code ' JEEP ' for a 10% discount at check-out ;) .
  20. What I can see of it looks good, but those poics are bad. Can we get some better pics? I might want one like that when I can see it better. How much you gonna sell it for? Ship to Florida?? :D
  21. Pumping the gas pedal does absolutley nothing as that is only opening and closing the throttle plate (air flap) in the throttle body. It is normal for the Renix engine in the '87 - '90 MJ to take a few revolultions or as much as 2-3 seconds to fire up. It sometimes helps to turn the key to the on position and wait for the fuel pump to pressurize the system before attempting to start it, but even that doesn't always help. You can hear the "buzz" of the fuel pump for about 2 seconds and when it stops...start it. I found two things that made mine start a little faster... -New fuel injectors -New battery wiring harness My old injectors looked like this... My old battery harness looked like this...
  22. Yea...it's got the dealership info all over the tailgate.
  23. That took a little longer than I thought it would... That MJ belongs to the guy that owns the dealership and even though it has not been moved in almost two years, he is not willing to let it go...I tried ;) . It has a D35 rear and auto tranny, the passenger side glass is gone and the interior is in pretty bad shape.
  24. Yep...that's the kind of thing you see a lot of in S. Florida. There's not much other than swamp land to play in/on down there so you get a lot of swamp buggies. 8)
  25. We have been on the road a lot the last two weeks to 3 different shows across the state of Florida with our T-Shirt business. I thought I would share a few pics of some MJ's and other cool Jeeps that we have seen. Ours...of course ;) Now the others... This poor abandoned MJ sitting behind a dealership in South Florida...
