  1. Nice MJ, very nice. Down the road I plan to do ARB's in mine. Have them in the TJ, great lockers, looking forward to doing them in the MJ.
  2. Well this is my second MJ, however I have owned about 15 XJ's all together. Lots of different lift's. For my current MJ, it has a SOA in the rear already, I'm replacing the front lift with RE LCA's and 3.5" coils with a extra stock spacer, that should level me out and give a great ride for a short arm kit. I had this lift in an XJ an it rode great, much better than stock. Plus I won't have tons of money wrapped up in it. For shocks I am going with OME, again, can't beat the ride.
  3. Was that a laredo badge I saw on the front fender? If so good score. I like the bumper your building, nice work.
  4. My MJ doesnt have the badge's, just the decals. I want to replace the decals when I do a repaint. There old school but I like the looks of them and keeping the truck like it was orginally (at least the paint scheme). I'd be happy to find some NOS decals too, not sure where to look though.
  5. Like the seat swap. Why did you choose the RC lift? Just curious, I'm debating on a LA or short arm lift myself, checking to see what others are running.
  6. Thats correct, here is a link you guys might like, great Comanche info. http://comanchemj.1hwy.com/photo6.html And keep us posted on the stickers, if I can help with measurments let me know, I'd be happy to do it.
  7. Just my opinion, but I am a Warn fan. This may only be my second comanche, but I've been building/offroading Jeeps for over 20yrs. Owned tons of CJ's and XJ's. Anytime I bought a winch it was a Warn. They are well worth the few extra bucks. On the few occasions you may need it, you will want it to work like it should. I will use a ARB bumper loaded with my Warn 9k on this comanche. If you want to go a cheaper route, the Warn M8000 is a good winch for the money.
  8. Ok, wildman said someone here was going to make them, just wondered if they were available yet. Wonder if dona vee or Collins Bro's has any?
  9. Hey all, like the topic says, I'm looking for new decals for my 89 Pioneer. Is there a source for these? I plan on a repaint, I want the decals/strip that goes down the body and ends on the bed with pioneer. Anyone?
  10. Wish it was that easy to find a rust free unit up here. Took me forever to finally find one. Suspension looks beefy, I like it.
  11. Thanks guys. It appears to still have the stock springs in the rear (and front too). The measurments from center of hub to fender flair lip is 22" in the rear, 21.5" in the front. If my memorey serves me right, that is about 4.5" of lift. A D44 will give you a bit more on a SOA due to the thicker tub's, approx an inch more. HTH.
  12. Wildman, good to hear from you again! Actually I picked this MJ up in Phillly PA. I've been looking for a LONG time, couldnt believe the condition of this one. Thanks for the heads up on the stickers. I want to repaint it, especially since I plan on adding XJ Laredo doors (easier than swapping the internals), but really like the old Pioneer stickers. Must replace those.
  13. Nice, I'll be watching your progress. Looks like you got your share of the east coast cancer, be a good truck to bring back. I dig the pin stripe's  What all are your plan's for it?
  14. Hey all, so I bought another MJ, been looking a LONG time, ever since I sold my 91 Eliminator. Owned tons of XJ's, but finally found another MJ. Here is a few pics. Main reason I bought it, CLEAN body. A little surface rust here and there, not much at all, underneath is super clean. It has 4.5" of lift, the rear is a SOA, front is a Hodgepodge pile of crap that will need redone. I plan on putting in quality lift components to properly set up the front. I will install doors of a XJ laredo, wire in the pwr options. Do some buckets (been eyeing up the ones in the new Grand Cherokees, heat switch is located on the seat side). The 31's on it are bald, has 32's in the bed. I do plan to repaint it, anyone know where I can get the Pioneer decals???? Does anyone still offer these?
  15. Any XJ Longarm kit will work in the front. RE makes a MJ kit that includes rear springs. I have RE Longarms in my TJ, pretty good system. Claytons are very high quailty too, worth a look.
