  5. wow i have not updated these in a while so I guess i should Well I got the new axle under the front end and the lower control arms beefed up: Well after that I wheeled the piss out of it and then i slid into a tree and got this: That was on the Jan. 1 of 2008 great way to start the year out  Well then I decided it was time that i need to go long arms or at least get new upper and lower control arms because the ones I had were way to short. Well thing didn’t work out for the long arm so I went with the Rough Country drop bracket. Wow does this truck handle a lot better than it did. Now this will get me up today yesterday me and a buddy went up to DIY4x to pick up a set of do it your self bead locks. All I have at the house are my outer rigs so you no I just had to put some paint on them. And any of you guys get a chance to do business with DIY4x do it those guys rock. More pic in the next week or 2 once I get all 128 bolt to bolt my wheels together Yeah 128 bolts  32 bolts per tire that should keep those skinny tires on there.
  6. I will say that if you guys have a chance to work with DIY4x on any thing do it that guy rocks You should see the set H-1 Bead locks he re centered for a guy I wheel with they look like a fan blade and the gusset stand up and come out from the rig and just look sick. I will get pic as soon as I find that paint. I live in a smaller town and wal-mart does not carry it or this one does not :headpop: This well only get me by until I can get them powder coated got them primed tonight
  7. so I got my DIY4x beadlocks today and do you guys think that this Rustoleum will hold up for them and yeah there going to be fluorescent pink outer rings and black rims  I want my truck to kinda stand out.
  8. Here is how I would do it and I have seen it done and looks really clean. If you do take your flares off and cut your fenders out. I would cut them just a little bit longer than you want then take a small crescent wrench and fold them in toward the motor. You are going to have to make a cut at the body lines. Then take a hammer and dolly and smooth out the fold and then this way the fender won’t be weak.
  9. I was thinking something like this with some kinda coilovers. I would make the hoops go to the out side of the frame then run the coilovers down to the axle. In theory it would be like a comp cut on a xj. I would try to reuse the stock fuel take like this guy did and put a plate/box over the fuel tank for added storage. Just thinking here and not trying to hijack this thread just adding some input
  10. sorry for my lack of skills but this is all i got. This is kinda my thought if i ever 3 link the rear. and use some thing like a wrangler tail gate or somthing. enjoy and don't laugh to hard

    4wd?

not hard at all: I am new to the build your own rig and I did it. 1.thing make sure your axle gears match front and rear 2. your going to need a tranny and t-case form a 4wd and both drive shafts. 3 Cost- depends on what you want for axles, tranny and t-case If your not going hard core i would pick up an XJ donor for like 200 or so and go from there it does not need to run but would help so you can test the drive train. Pull axles out and slam them into you rig. At this point I would upgrade the rear axle to at least an 8.25 or the 8.8 or the D44. The front axle leave open and I would say you would be good up to a 34" tire or so. Really the front axle is going to be the worst part of this deal there are your upper and lower control arms brakes and shock that need to be taken off and then the axle will come out and put your 4wd back in. The rear axle unbolt u-bolts drop it out weld and then weld up new spring perches and on your new axle slide it under the truck bolt axle up and go. Now this sound easy it really isnt that hard. Here is a right up I did about taking the front axle out: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... 40&start=0

Pocket Taser Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife. A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Taser for their anniversary submitted this: Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized taser. The effects of the taser were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....?? WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button AND pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs. AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave. Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-A batteries, right? There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong? So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and taser in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries. All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5' long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, 'no possible way!' What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best...? I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, 'don't do it dipsh!t,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and . . . HOLY MOTHER OF GOD . . .WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION . . . WHAT THE HELL!!! I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs? The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an atempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room. Note: If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a taser, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor. A three second burst would be considered conservative? SON-OF-A-B!TCH, THAT HURT LIKE HELL!!! A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was. My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I had no control over the drooling. Apparrently I $#!& myself, but was too numb to know for sure and my sence of smell was gone. I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head which I believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my nuts and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!! P. S. My wife loved the gift, and now regularly threatens me with it! 'If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid.'

  21. Yeah tomorrow the wife and I have been married for 4 years. :D Here is the real funny thing the wife didn’t think it was funny but I did. I made sure that I took all the wheeling dates that I knew from work and forgot about are wedding anniversary. So I took all week off to be with her. Ahhhhhh that just sweet. :brows: That and now i can work on my truck Ok I no that no one cares but I thought I would share.
  22. sweet i just got me a set of DIY4x beadlocks I can't wait to get them on.
  23. Well I have started putting these on the truck so far it’s been an easy set up. I have only have the driver side almost done I need to finish tighten every thing a put my upper control arm on. Then it’s off to do the passenger side. So here is a pic of the driver side: And here is the passenger side. My upper control arm on the passenger side: See how steep of an angle my arms were at compared to what they will be. And yes it did push my front axle forward like an 1” or so but this was great since my arms were to short for my lift this will but the axle back to about stock if not a little more forward than stock.
