Knew he was gettin ready to upgrade his xj, he's had some pretty nice rides in the past too. love the pic of the manche standing on it's stinger! He and a friend(nice guy with a full size 4x4, whose name is escaping me @ the moment) came down to the springs on thanksgiving day and went wheelin'. Wanted to go but had prior plans. They said they had a blast. John is super and I look forward to hitting a few trails with him. Tell him if you talk at em before i do, to go ahead and build me a couple sets of bumpers if he gets bored! :rotf: ko

WOW, imagine that! I forgot all about this manche's origin. John was great, we still stay in touch and have future wheelin plans when I get this one up and ready.

guess you're aware it's a long bed roll bar. Kinda want to sell it with the truck but I'm open to consider offers.

the springs

The 92' manche is a project in the works, got it lifted where I want it, has 32's on it now but with a little trimming I'll stuff 33's on it. picked up a Dana 44 rear today at the junkyard. Started out as a 2wd,by the way. Got front axle ready with superflex trac bar,skyjacker CA's. Will use the np231 and transmission outta the 92 xj i'm partin out. Will swap out the dash and cluster with tilt steering also.

Had a pretty good JY day myself, copped a dana 44 outta 87 cherokee,headliner panel outta 86 manche in great shape! Got rear hatch shocks outta some year dodge or chrysler mini van and installed as almost a direct bolt in on both jeep engine hoods.(never did like messing with them damn hood prop bars! Took it all home for a c note! ko

Grabbed hold of another Manche and followed that up w/another cherokee!(not in the pic). Gonna have to get enrolled in a 12 step jeep program! :nuts: The new manche is a 92 4.0L in 87 skin. no rust anywhere! 92 cherokee in garage being my parts bin. Gonna probably let go of the 86 manche. Will find it a good home though.Image Not Found Image Not Found

How much the bone yards charge for their dana 44's back there,anyway? Curious to compare here. ko

I agree, no power on highway inclines, but runnin 32's with 4:10's in low 4x4, it will out climb my cherokee hands down!

It would be a good time to try blow dryer if he already has line disconnected from fuel filter back to tank. Then try just cycling the pump again before pullin the pump.

well,if u can hear the pump cycling and no sign of gas,maybe clogged filter sock or weak pump.You're about to the point of pulling the pump. :mad: what do the rest of u guys think?

Might not be your prob,but i was having startin difficulties off and on for a while. Finally found the culprit,though i could hear my fuel pump kickin on like it was supposed to,i pulled it anyway.Lo and behold,the ground wire on the assembly itself was slightly frayed.Replaced it with new and walla,problem solved.Not sayin that is your prob,but does spark the idea of possibly a weak fuel pump? :chillin:

Add another one to the black interior, mine's got it with buckets to boot! :chillin:

Runnin' 32's with 4.10's on this 2.5L. 5th gear is not an option unless runnin flat or downhill. wheelin is ok in hi but have no complaints at all in low. :chillin:

Hell, had a blizzard last week and gettin hammered right now! Can't wait for mornin', my manche loves this stuff! Got to give xj equal time too or it starts whinin' bought me playin' favorites! :chillin:
