  10. Had a 4 banger 5 speed manual once, did well once I was off road. Problem was driving and pulling the mountain passes to get there! Think I'll stick with the 4.0's unless I decide to trailer.Here's a pic of my ol' 2.5L 4 banger. Not long after I sold it,new owner T-boned a Dodge p/u and totaled it! :doh:
  11. :agree: I found that one place it always happened, that was a good spot on city street and returned there after the TB bracket repair. Was like you,cringing if it was gonna return! At least it was a good spot to pull off the road. Got my confidence back after no DW!!!

Pretty happy with my present 2WD converted truck. Got a dana 44 and 30 both locked with 4.10's sitting in my drive. Would change the manual tranny over to auto. Lift and long arm. Hmmmm.
  13. The Track bar and mounts caused DW in both my MJ and XJ. I now check both after a day of wheelin'.

  17. I've had no luck at all with the red tops, heard yellow tops are better.
  18. Fuel tank,spare tire carrier,e-brake bracket and shocks need to be removed 1st. Believe there are 6 bolts holding bed down. there is a thread in the tech forum. do a bed removal search. There's pic of bolt locations.
