  1. You stated that there was additional 'hissing' after the panic breaking.......that was the tell tale......but you got it figured out anyway. I replaced my booster with a new stock one last year and I wish I had done the later model upgrade.
  2. Yep........they do go bad.
  3. We've had about a dozen 4.0s in the last few years. Our last keeper got about same as yours, 15-16 and our current keeper gets around 22-23. I drove one back from FL that was averaging 24-25. I have no exlanation for the varying rates of milage, all have been good runners. The only thing that I have noticed is a possible difference in auto trans, some seem to lag while others seem 'freed-up'.
  4. Go ahead and delete my account and the threads here. You'll see for yourselves soon enough......your time is short anyway.
  5. I have asked Pete to PM me or call me directly.
  6. I'm very angry at every one of you here who ridiculed me for trying to bring you the truth. There is no brotherhood in the Jeep community. YOU are shameful. Here it is and everything I said is true! This is the legislation....whether it gets through or not is irrelevant.....it is the outline they are using against us. Again........you people are something else.........I'm disgusted with you. Summary of 2013 legislation Following is a summary of the 2013 legislation: Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of: 120 specifically-named firearms Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one military characteristic Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds Strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and various state bans by: Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test Eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test Banning firearms with “thumbhole stocks” and “bullet buttons” to address attempts to “work around” prior bans Bans large-capacity ammunition feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds. Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by: Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment Exempting over 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting or sporting purposes and Exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include: Background check of owner and any transferee; Type and serial number of the firearm; Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint; Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration Just like I said they were gonna do, turn our semi autos into NFA guns!!

  9. This requires a brain- comparative thinking. Relates directly to my post above on the Eric Holder quote. 11. Attorney General Eric Holder supported using Hollywood, the media and government officials in order to “really brainwash people” into opposing firearm ownership, according to a 1995 C-SPAN video that emerged Sunday online. Holder, who was then the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, was addressing the Women’s National Democratic Club on Jan. 30, 1995. In his speech, he held up anti-smoking campaigns as a model for an anti-gun campaign. “What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we’ve changed our attitudes about cigarettes,” Holder said. 12. Obama anti-gun agenda may lead to domestic crisis, warn experts Interesting reading..... http://www.examiner.com/article/obam...s-warn-experts Obama anti-gun agenda may lead to domestic crisis, warn experts Gun controlDecember 22, 2012 By: Jim KouriSubscribe .Both Obama and Holder have been biding time waiting for the right moment to spring their anti-gun agenda on Americans. Credits: Newsbusters 0 Email.Crime & Courts newsletter •Gun control•Obama Administration•Newtown massacre•Police. An anti-gun owner initiative being considered in Washington could lead to massive civil disobedience and a severe domestic crisis, gun law expert John M. Snyder warned on Friday. "According to confidential information," he said, "forces linked with the administration suggest the government classify semiautomatic firearms and multiple capacity ammunition feeding devices as Title 2 National Firearms Act items under the Gun Control Act of 1968. Families throughout the nation continue to mourn the horrific deaths of 26 people, including 20 young children, killed on Dec. 14, 2012, during a Newtown, Conn., mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, said Mike Baker, a political strategist who believes that government is not the solution to any problem, but government is the problem. Americans familiar with federal gun laws understand that under this scenario, semiautomatics and high capacity magazines could be acquired only with great difficulty and at great expense by America's estimated 100 million law-abiding firearms owners, notes Snyder. According to Snyder and other gun ownership advocates, the Obama administration long ago realized it would have insurmountable difficulty getting a semiautomatic gun ban, such as that considered by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and others, passed Congress, especially when the House is controlled by defenders of the Second Amendment. Congressional Second Amendment supporters already are preparing for such a battle. During the Clinton years, Congress enacted a partial, temporary semiautomatic ban but allowed it to sunset after 10 years because of its lack of significant negative impact on crime, according to surveys conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. The Obama administration, now safely reelected, may order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to take the classification step. Some gun-grabbers view the designation of Street Sweeper shotguns as Title 2 firearms during the Clinton administration as precedent for such a move. For several years, various groups and individuals have discussed the anti-gun owner proclivities of the current administration. Obama anti-gun owner activities have involved the promulgation of anti-gun federal regulations, the appointment of anti-gun judges to the federal courts, including the Supreme Court, and the appointment of anti-gun personnel to other high federal positions, including the appointment of an attorney general of the United States who is suspected by many observers of playing politics with the nation's law enforcement community. "It's been under this attorney generalship that the infamous Fast and Furious federal gun running scandal involving ATF has occurred," Snyder stated. "The administration may feel that a replacement in that office could facilitate a ratcheting-up of its anti-gun activities with announcement and inauguration of the proposed semiautomatic classification/ban." "Such a move surely would galvanize the law-abiding grass roots gun-owning American public into opposition as it never has before. At the very least, it would lead to an action in the U.S. House of Representatives to defund if not eliminate entirely the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. To what it would lead at the very most is anyone's guess," warns Snyder. A former NRA editor and director of national gun rights organizations, Snyder has been defending the individual Second Amendment civil right of law-abiding American citizens to keep and bear arms for over 46 years. He's been called the senior rights activist in Washington by Shotgun News. He also serves on the advisory board of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.
  13. You need to understand something and FAST! I'm not talking about the beat cop here...... There are folks who have an entire life invested in the 'community'. These folks have $10Ks to $100s of thousands to $millions invested. Word is getting to them and then down to us. You think that men who spend $15K on a Class III are not concerned? Importers who have half a million tied up in ammo shippments right now sitting in ships off-shore waiting to unload are not concerned? This is a high stakes game for some.........the most exposure any of you have is some mom-pop shop with a few rifles on the wall. Word is getting around......sure, discern the propaganda.........but for some there entire life and all they have invested is at stake. ______________________________ Of the folks that I know personally........... I'm a home builder. I met with one man who's investment was/is extensive, probably in the $1.5M range. Half of his place of business is a storage facility for his collection, he views his collection as his retirement plan. He became very concerned about the security of his investment and we had several conversations about building an addition to his home, a safe-room. His concern was building it without others knowing it's purpose. I left Florida before he made a decision and I don't' know what he wound up doing about his delimma. Another that I know personally in the medical field who collects M16s and related, he own one that is select-fire and more than a dozen other semis and related materials. With more than 100,000 rounds of ammo and beyond.......his collection is valued at $150K++++ These folks will not go quietly. As for the LEO community......word is getting down from BATF and FBI agents that there is a lot fear out there on their part also........they know things will not go well for them.
  14. Hand gun below is my cary piece and will fall victim to the hi-cap ban along with about 40%-50% of all other semi-autos. You can call it 'drivel' all you want but I'm not the one wanting to keep folks ignorant. A lot of you will wake up a felon one morning for simple possession of what you always believed to be legal.
  15. Democratic senators offer gun control amendment for cyber security bill. SA 2575. Mr. LAUTENBERG (for himself, Mrs. BOXER, Mr. REED, Mr. MENENDEZ, Mrs. GILLIBRAND, Mr. SCHUMER, and Mrs. FEINSTEIN) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 3414, to enhance the security and resiliency of the cyber and communications infrastructure of the United States; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following SEC. __. PROHIBITION ON TRANSFER OR POSSESSION OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICES. (a) Definition.--Section 921(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after paragraph (29) the following: ``(30) The term `large capacity ammunition feeding device'-- ``(A) means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition; but ``( B) does not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.''. ( B) Prohibitions.--Section 922 of such title is amended by inserting after subsection (u) the following: ``(v)(1)(A)(i) Except as provided in clause (ii), it shall be unlawful for a person to transfer or possess a large capacity ammunition feeding device. [Page: S5403] ``(ii) Clause (i) shall not apply to the possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device otherwise lawfully possessed within the United States on or before the date of the enactment of this subsection. ``( B) It shall be unlawful for any person to import or bring into the United States a large capacity ammunition feeding device. ``(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to-- ``(A) a manufacture for, transfer to, or possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States or a State or a department, agency, or political subdivision of a State, or a transfer to or possession by a law enforcement officer employed by such an entity for purposes of law enforcement (whether on or off duty); ``( B) a transfer to a licensee under title I of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 for purposes of establishing and maintaining an on-site physical protection system and security organization required by Federal law, or possession by an employee or contractor of such a licensee on-site for such purposes or off-site for purposes of licensee-authorized training or transportation of nuclear materials; ``© the possession, by an individual who is retired from service with a law enforcement agency and is not otherwise prohibited from receiving ammunition, of a large capacity ammunition feeding device transferred to the individual by the agency upon that retirement; or ``(D) a manufacture, transfer, or possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device by a licensed manufacturer or licensed importer for the purposes of testing or experimentation authorized by the Attorney General.''. © Penalties.--Section 924(a) of such title is amended by adding at the end the following: ``( 8 ) Whoever knowingly violates section 922(v) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.''. (d) Identification Markings.--Section 923(i) of such title is amended by adding at the end the following: ``A large capacity ammunition feeding device manufactured after the date of the enactment of this sentence shall be identified by a serial number that clearly shows that the device was manufactured after such date of enactment, and such other identification as the Attorney General may by regulation prescribe.''. ____________________________ Above in bold- All hi-cap mags to be banned of possession if not manufactured and serial number recorded after date of bill. Should be construed as non-grandfathered......meaning this is a defactor ban on many semi-autos, rifle and hand gun. This is known and sourced and the least of my concerns. ____________________________________ The amendment was sponsored by Democratic Sens. Frank Lautenberg (N.J.), Barbara Boxer (Calif.), Jack Reed (R.I.), Bob Menendez (N.J.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Schumer and Dianne Feinstein (Calif.). S.A. 2575 would make it illegal to transfer or possess large capacity feeding devices such as gun magazines, belts, feed stripes and drums of more than 10 rounds of ammunition with the exception of .22 caliber rim fire ammunition. http://thehill.com/v...control-measure I have no idea where the smilies came from but not a part of the copy.
  16. Yep. It is you who stands for a closed mind. I guess you determine what is important?
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=FLUIGAmaGpouRnr_CrnEA8JA&feature=player_embedded&v=jMWVUoYNezU I highly recommend you watch this to understand where we are in history. Watch it three times. We are at the fourth stage. All of this will reveal itself in your lifetime.......so I believe. Relates to the coup portion of my comment above.
  18. I did not come here to argue or defend myself. The info is trickling in through LE and other sources down to the gun community. Owning a shotgun and a 4x does not make one informed. Of the info we have recieved this is the most logical approach. There are three ways to confinscate or control- EO..........consequence of this action is the beginning of CWII Legislation through congress............less likely. ATF regulation........reclassifying to class II firearms (same as FA) has it's own set of hurdles. However by the time it makes it's way to SCOTUS the damage will be done (and SCOTUS will uphold, we are to lose a conservative member next year to retirement). Most likely approach. I only posted here to give folks the heads up......just one more possibility to consider. Coup? The rule of Law is only a shadow of it's former self. I'll not post here on this again.......just keep an eye open.
  19. http://www.stephenhalbrook.com/regis...istration.html This is YOUR future, sooner than you might think. Any of you who have purchased in recent years have had to pass a NICs check, background check. If you believe your and your guns are not on a registry you are GREATLY mistaken, you are. Prior to WWII Austria took the same rounte. The Nazis confinscated the Austrian record books and began confinscating the firearms from both German and Austrian citizens. Door to door. If the citizen did not produce the gun the citizen was shot in the chest in front of his home. It got to the point that most citizens just threw thier guns in the yard at the roadside rather than be searched and killed. Read the above link, do your own research. Understand who you are dealing with now, a slow motion coup is taking place.
  20. It's a good source. Info will come word of mouth now. Media will not cover or they lie. You'll find out soon enough. I'm only posting here to let you guys know what to look for. Adminstrators here won't tolerate much more I have to say. But I will say that your life has changed......drastically.........and you folks ain't gonna like what they have planned for you.
  21. Sources reveal that all semi-auto will be regulated to NFA status. This will reguire registration and a tax stamp. This may apply to all semis, long arms and hand guns. This has leaked from someone close to Biden. If you are a study of history you will understand this is a prelude to confinscation. Those of you who think your bolts and levers are safe......they are NOT......you are next. This could be a one time stamp or an annual stamp. Stamp could be as low as $5 or as high as $200. Also look to exhorbitant taxation on ammo, if ammo is even available at all next year. Get the word out, this is important. FWIW....I did not copy and paste.....this is not from some BS email........I'm following this closely. There is much other discussion, however, this is the most conclusive we've come to thus far.
  22. I have two clamps per connection, oppossing each other. Only way I could get the new hoses not to leak.
  23. I use ONLY Autolites. There was a study posted on a tractor forum that I belonged to that showed one in five Champians failed the test from the factory. And I believe it in that I've had nothing but trouble with small engine Champians in the past.
  24. I edited because I'm not sure it would work. Yes, you can pressurize the cylinder to change valve seals.......the pressure keeps the valve closed....fitting should be available anywhere. For it to work you'll need to keep the intake valve open.
