Over my way we just got some light rain and a bit of wind. Nothing like you guys got thats for sure! RockMJ

I would agree with the above statements. Ive owned three ZJ's and that one just appears to be thrown together. Not to mention the 6.5" SA lift, which is likely a 4" RC lift with 2" BB on top of that. Its going to ride horrible, theres no way around it. Front fenders are hacked up to fit the tires, instead of it being done properly. Really, not being shallow here but when looking at a vehicle as such you have to wonder what else did they half @$$ that people can't see? Just being objective is all. I would not hesitate to buy another ZJ any day of the week, its actually my favorite Jeep ive ever owned, but I would not waste my money on someone's headache. Even the vehicles hes looking for in trade are just sky high rides with nothing behind the looks. Pass! RockMJ

Booyah! Antenna time! Its amazing how "complete" the MJ looks now that the antenna is installed. Took all of five minutes to do RockMJ -
Well welcome again. Nice to see another FL rig on here. There have been a few others from FL join the board in the past few weeks. I'm linking you below to a FL specific thread we have going. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=21258&p=351563#p351563 RockMJ

Been doing a bit of reading on the brake upgrades and being as my MJ hasnt been driven due to the brakes, its time to get it done. I'm going to pick up a new Brake Booster and Brake MC from Crown for a 99-04 WJ and ill source the lines from the salvage yard if possible. If not, ill just run new lines, cut, flare, and bend them properly. I plan on doing this very soon so I can finally start driving the MJ daily. Damn brakes. Here are the links to the stuff http://www.crownautomotive.net/product/WJ-Brake-Hydraulics/5011261AB.html http://www.crownautomotive.net/product/WJ-Brake-Hydraulics/5011260AA.html RockMJ -
Where are you located and welcome aboard! Looks like you need a tailgate but its a good start. Never too late to learn how to work on these older rigs and this site has a bunch of good articles and input from users about any problem/question or concern you might have. Good luck RockMJ

Not much of an update, but I gave the MJ her first bath since the restoration. Of course, here are the pics. I just keep picturing it in my head with a 4" lift and 35's. Incredible Look at that shine... Shaded side Mmm...nice rear I look forward to getting the antenna installed this week. It looks naked without it RockMJ -
I used the ACOS setup on my ZJ and after my V8 swap they helped level everything out. Youll love them! RockMJ

So I have a small update on the MJ. I finally purchased a 97+ antenna mast setup from a guy on JF. That is about all ive done to the MJ in the past weeks due to other priorities. Ive been working like a mad man on getting a few music tracks finished that I started and had not finished. If anyone is curious the link to my music page is in my sig. Its all electronic music with a mixture of deep chillstep/dubstep and progressive trance. Interesting stuff ive been told Things I need to do to the MJ soon: -Front brakelines -Bleed brakes RockMJ -

haha yeah thanks guys! I purchased some 97+ mirrors but I decided against them until I can actually get my hands on some OEM units. The replacement mirrors are really poorly constructed and the glass does not produce a good image. So until I find some OEM ones ill keep my old ones. They are constructed so much better Rich, next phase is going to be getting the lift under her and upgrading to some 35's and building a rear 44 with gears, shafts, truss, etc. I would love the help man. The gauge inlays I created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I took my gauge cluster out and after hours of measurements I finally created an accurate reproduction. It was a super big PITA though. Yeah, I wish my interior wasnt thrashed when I bought it but its to be expected when its neglected for so long. I am very pleased with the interior overall and the paint is surprisingly durable! Sorry about not answering the questions in order received, I'm tired lol RockMJ -
Nope, I don't mind you posting that pic! The main reason why I ran into issues is that the holes in the MJ body for the rears do not match up with the XJ body holes. You need to redrill most (IIRC) of the holes if not all of them and move them down and outboard/inboard accordingly. I assure you the flares are on the correct sides and facing the proper ways. They only fit on the Jeep one way as the contours from side to side are different. The contours on the inner fender of the BW only allow them to sit so low and because of the lip on the fender of the bed it keeps them too high to allow the gaps to close properly. I don't know if the XJ's fender sides are different as in the holes and lip is lower. I really don't know how to answer that one but I spent a full day slowly trimming small amounts off trying to fit them up correctly. I took my time doing the job but for whatever reason I ended up with gaps at the back of the flares. It sucks but ill live with it. Hope that helps RockMJ

Sounds good on the lift. I can pick up a set of RE 3.5" coils no problem. Just let me know when your ready to sell the stuff and ill take it. As for the fender flares, if I knew now how they fit before cutting the body I would have been better off. Point being, for the rears you are almost better off not removing the lip of the fender like the directions tell you to and instead just drilling holes lower and bending that seam inwards to fit them better. I did not have this information before I started cutting and at that point it was all but too late. Biggest bit of advice I can give you is be patient and take your time. Measure, measure, and measure again. I made them work but I'm not 100% pleased with the way the rears are. Thats mainly due to me being super picky about things. Ill likely take them off at some point and try my hand at making them fit better somehow. Hope that helps, but if you have any questions just ask man RockMJ

Whats included in the 3" lift? Mileage on it, etc? Put me first in line and congrats on the purchases! I loved my Clayton's stuff and it took some serious abuse. RockMJ

I would like each of my fellow CC members to give their own opinion about the question below. Do you believe a lifetime dream is worth following regardless of the risk of failure? Now I cannot say what the dream or the desired outcome is because I want to hear what people think without knowing the details. This is mainly to eliminate any bias or judgmental attitudes, ya dig? Essentially I'm looking to hear your thoughts and opinions about it. The most info I can give on this is that some changes would have to take place to take a step in the right direction. Are the risks of taking that chance worth it even if you fail? I'm feeling like its better to have tried and failed then to never even attempt it. Thanks guys RockMJ

Mark, you make me envious of the short bed! Nice to know I'm not the only MJ rocking that color RockMJ

Hey guys, just got done doing the 97+ swap with my MJ and I need the antenna setup for the front ps fender. I need the plastic trim ring, as well as the antenna mast. If anyone has this please PM me! RockMJ
