  3. That stereo setup is sexy man. Seriously congrats on it! My old 5.9 had an RB1 navigation unit in it and that was a PITA as well. Great work! RockMJ
  4. Looky what showed up today! Waiting on the rest to show up! RockMJ
  5. Rock rails? If you or your group need anything at Rausch I used to judge the RCRocs competitions so I know a lot of the people over there. I used to host and guide the Grand Slam events at Rausch up until moving to FL. I was aiming to get the MJ ready for wheeling by this month to get back up there to host the event in May but its not going to happen, sadly. There's always next year :D RockMJ
  6. Rausch has plenty of rock fields, it just depends on which trails you choose. Looking forward to seeing some more pics! Here are some baby rocks my ZJ used to play in :D RockMJ
  7. I miss wheeling at Rausch and these pics arent helping. Glad you got to go check the park out and that everything went smoothly! RockMJ
  8. Rob, thank you! I have never done this myself and ive been weary about doing it myself for those exact reasons. I will gladly pay to have it done properly so scratch that idea and ill run it down to the Jeep dealer and get it done. Thanks man! RockMJ
  9. Hey guys, my wife has an 07 Liberty and the AC stopped working and I traced the issue back to the low pressure switch on top of the condenser. No big deal, its a 17$ part and with it replaced the compressor kicks on again. The AC just isnt getting as cold as it should so I'm going to be recharging it. Question is, which valve is the low side service port to recharge the system with? In the picture there are two running parallel so I'm not sure which to use. One is running to the compressor the other is into the firewall to the cab. Let me know, thanks! RockMJ
  10. Just ordered up a set of AEV Savegre wheels for the MJ. Looking forward to getting these on! RockMJ
  11. Finally installed my Delta Xenon Driving Light kit to match the Delta headlights. Suckers are bright! I also installed my NOS washer sprayers and door linkage clips RockMJ
  12. Received my Delta Xenon Driving Light kit today. Top quality product and I can't wait to get it installed! I also have 4 AEV Savegre wheels sitting in my shopping cart ready for purchase. RockMJ
  13. you don't want it on there? not really, Had they asked first then Maybe. Might I ask what company? Rusty's OR did this to me and a friend of mine. We were not thrilled, especially since the description was entirely wrong RockMJ
  14. Jeff, thanks man! Got some more done on the MJ. Flat style flares are mounted up, decals are on, and she is 95% back together! And our first trip in the MJ was to Sonic. Good times!!! Just ordered up an intake setup, Delta Xenon Driving Lights, and KC LiteLocks. After that comes the 4" and 35" Toyo MT's RockMJ
  15. I can! haha Made a ton of progress with getting the MJ back together. I'm not showing all of the pictures until she is fully done, but here's another few teasers RockMJ
  16. My guess is it was hooked up backwards as the alternator wire had no casing left. Replaced everything and its working perfectly RockMJ
  17. I also put a new 105 amp alternator in, new battery terminals, new 8 gauge lead for the alternator to the solenoid, new serpentine belt and some other stuff. She runs amazing! Very, very pleased right now RockMJ
  18. Thanks man! Ive been taking my time putting the MJ back together today. here's some progress pics :D RockMJ
  19. Just wanted to update this thread to keep it complete. I put a new alternator (105 amp) in this morning, new battery terminals, new 8 gauge lead from the positive to the solenoid, and a new serpentine belt and shes running like a dream! Turns out the alternator was totally fried. Hope this helps anyone in the future RockMJ
  20. Just wanted to share that this thread fixed my no reverse light issue. Thanks guys RockMJ
  21. Now that you mention it I think the 4.0 was a 71 amp? Either way I have the lesser of the two main options. Thanks for the input man RockMJ
  22. Okay, sounds good! Now this leaves me with replacing the alternator in the am and a new serpentine belt and praying to the Jeep God's that they will shine down upon me! RockMJ
  23. Rich and myself talked this issue over and being as all of the electronics are working (dash lighting, running lights, gauges, etc) and it runs just fine with the battery hooked up, were thinking its the alternator. Being as mine has the 61 amp alternator is there any harm in going to the 100 amp? I do not think there is but I would certainly like to know what I'm getting into before I do the swap. Are the dimensions of the two the same where I will not run into any issues going with the bigger unit? RockMJ
  24. Hey guys, I need some serious input here. I'm stumped. I JUST picked the MJ up from the painters and the battery was completely dead when I tried to start her. No problem, pop the hood and jump it and be on my way. Wrong! First thing I noticed was a bare (no casing) wire that goes from the positive terminal of the battery cable to the starter solenoid IIRC. Its the distribution block where all the heavy gauge wires and fuseable link wires run to on the passenger side wheel well. Well I immediately asked the owner what happened and he informed me that the battery went dead when they were working on the Jeep. No big deal right? Well he said that when he put the battery box on it to jump the battery that wire was smoking. Yeah, no sh*t! The casing was completely gone. Now, after putting a new battery in the Jeep the alternator will not charge at all. Here is what ive found: -The voltage gauge reads a steady 12v and does not fluctuate with any rpm range like it should. This would lead me to believe the alternator is NOT charging the system - I have checked the fuseable links and found no external signs of casing deformation indicating a short - I have checked the voltage at the alternator (thick red wire from dist. block) and it reads a constant 12.xx volts - The two wire connector to the alternator has one wire showing power when switched on and running (yellow). The brown/black wire has no voltage when switched on and running it reads barely 0.06 volts. I do not know where to go from here as the Jeep is not driveable and its currently running on the new battery juice. Is the alternator fried or is there a relay I should be looking for? I am totally, 100% lost and the pissed off/frustration level of having to deal with this does NOT help at all. I can pick up an alternator and put it in if that is the culprit and I'm thinking so because there is no power to that one wire coming from/going to the alt. RockMJ
  25. Here it is guys! Made it home via a jumper box because the damn battery is dead :fs1: . The guys left the doors open long enough to completely kill the battery. Anyways, here are some pics! It actually shines!!! Cannot wait to put her together after a new battery lol RockMJ
