I like the hood vents.. how did you attach them? Are they welded in? -
Just heard they are going to have an RTI ramp again this year, along with the Police Seat Belt Ride and the Hooters Girls will be walking around the car show taking pictures with people and I believe handing out coupons and such for wings.

Just a reminder, the auto is this weekend. Sounds like there will be a pretty good CJ-8 showing, hope to see more than just my MJ out there!

99 Xj Wiring To 90 Mj Tail Light Harness
kineticMJ replied to LoTGoD's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I used all the wiring from the 2000 xj including the sockets.. it took some time and some small shaving using a dremel/die grinder but I was able to make the XJ sockets fit the MJ taillights. its a snug fit, but it worked. -
MUST... HAVE.... MORE... PICTURES... can't wait to see more, fantastic find, so glad to see a member snatched it up...

Bench Seat Options
kineticMJ replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
hmmm I wonder if that center section could be added in place of the center console in a 97+ upgraded interior... ::wheels are turning:: -
Is that a custom build from FessyBuilt or do they sell MJ bumpers? That is a pretty nice looking setup, I'd be interested to see how much that rear bumper would cost..

Wrangler Hood, grill And Fenders On Mj ???
kineticMJ replied to jeepnleo's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
so poking around for possible photoshop'ed pictures of your idea I came across this.. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2010/06/report-jeep-investigating-compact-pickup.html Is that basically what you're looking for as your final goal? Did you think about maybe trying a KK, WJ, or WK swap instead, give you a different front end look, with a possibility for an easier fit? -
Got the MJ out on the trails for a little while a couple weeks ago.. finally got some pictures back from the trip..

I love the duratrac.... They are 33x12.5 r15.... They ride great on road and off road, I don't do anything super crazy offload so they were the right move for me. I'm up in northern va, got some finishing touches left on the truck but it's coming together
-
So only have one picture right now, but I will get some more up soon... Tonneau cover is finally installed and looking good..
-
I'm up in Fairfax area.. northern VA. finally had a chance to paint and install the rails.. and spare tire is mounted under the bed in the stock location again. Yep, full size spare fits in the stock location, thank you long bed! Spare Tire..

Couple updates on the project... Got some bed armor made from http://www.diegosdeals.com (PACIFIER on the forum here) with a spot to mount the hi-lift as well as a way to mount the tonneau cover that is a few inches short for the long bed. Finally removed the drop in liner and did the bedliner kit. The armor is ready to install, the weather has prevented me from finishing it up, hopefully it will stay clear enough to finish it up in a couple of days.. I'll post some picture of the tonneau cover install too once its done.

Tail light replacement sockets/harness
kineticMJ replied to yuhaze's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i used the sockets/wiring from a 2000 XJ for the tail lights.. the socket opening on the back of the comanche tail light housing needed to be shaved for them to fit, but it worked nicely after a little adjustment. -
i sent you a PM.
