I haven't seen those exact reproductions, but I have seen some of the other ones on eBay from a company in Canada. You might want to check here and see what they have to say. http://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore ... 6&siteid=0 That link takes you two their eBay listings.

Are you running a short or long bed? I was looking at getting up under the truck this weekend to see if I could still mount my 33"s where the stock spare tire goes.

Rockdrummer93's '99 MJ Trail Rig Build
kineticMJ replied to Rockdrummer93's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
good luck with the interior swap/upgrade. Make sure that you cut the firewall out of the XJ by the steering column and use it in the MJ.. It will save you time if you cut it out and replace the MJ with the XJ piece, otherwise you'll be patching areas where you feel engine heat coming through around your feet/legs. -
I got it off of another jeep owner, he said it was a Logan's Metal Product bumper. You can find them at www.loganmetals4x4.com He said he didn't like it on his XJ, but i think it looks great on my MJ.

the parking lot looks EMPTY, if it was such a problem she should have just moved her prius.. and after she did that i would have either turned the truck off or moved to park it up wind of her again.. depending on what kind of mood i was

Great write up.. I've done the swap over and you hit all the major things to remember and consider when doing the swap (and definitely some things i missed the first try on mine.. oops)

Thanks guys... looks like the rain has finally stopped so I can actually get outside this weekend and see what I can get fitted up.

Any luck getting the door to adjust with the hinges? I am having the same problem which really wasn't an issue until the last two days here in the DC area where we have been getting non stop heavy rain and I came out this morning to find my carpet and seats (along the door side of the seat) soaked from the rain. You said you bought larger seals for yours.. Where from? I've done the 97+ upgrade so I had been chalking it up to the doors just not fitting exactly right, but it would seem i need finally fix the problem, so I am going to piggy back your thread if you don't mind. The body lines look good, and when I adjust the hinges to make it close the gap the lines are no longer good.. Any help you all can give would be really appreciated. thanks.

its been working fine for me. Make sure you close off the old pump location off good and tight, otherwise you will learn that gas will start to leak when you fill the whole tank up. http://www.genright.com/ProductInfo.asp ... id=APR1000 That is the ring that I used, and it has worked out well for me so far.

So finally getting around to putting some finishing touches on the interior... Toughest was trying to find a spot for rear speakers, originally wanted to use the speaker pod from the rear of the 2000 xj, but with the bucket seats sitting higher than the factory bench seat anytime i hit a bump in the road my head hit the speakers.. so crafted a way to mount them behind the seats and angle it enough so that the sound isn't projected straight into the back of the seats And no, the speaker pod is not bolted directly to the rear wall, I utilized the studs that the interior panels attach to and extended a 1" x 1/4" thick piece of steel across the back of the speaker pod. Just need to find/make a panel to cover the curve at the rear of the headliner.. if anyone has a suggestion on how to cover it let me know.
