  1. YEAH!!! The booster/master swap is complete...i decided to leave the MJ proportioning valve in just b/c it would have been more of a hassle to replace it...brakes are 200% better than b4..i highly recomend it to anyone thinking of doing it and running anything taller than 31...ill post up pics of everything swapped tomorrow... :D
  2. didnt pay a dime ...i traded my 1992 Dodge 4x4 for it...simple trade swap..easy enough...yea its the newer style rims w/new tires...ill clean it up and take some more pics

Well i finally got another jeep...I'm dissaponted its not another MJ but hey its an XJ: Specs: 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4, 4.0, AW4, NP231, D30/35 3.55's power windows/door locks, a/c, ps. pb etc Image Not Found pic suck i know...took it with my phone...i will upload better pics tomorrow when i borrow the other half's camera :D Future plans: 32" BFG's (off the MJ...its getting longarms and 33" MTR's) 3.5-4" lift w/ all the goodies open cooling system conversion replace valve cover gasket, oil filter o-rings bumpers front and rear along w/ sliders lockers and so on...lemme know what yall think :popcorn:

  6. i decided to pass on the MJ just b/c he wants $1000 for it now...but i have 2 guys that want to trade for my Dodge 4x4 for their XJ...ill keep ya posted if i can get another jeep :D :D

Update: progress on the MJ since the last postings; -installing my rockkrawler trackbar bracket and rod end -installing my drop pitman arm...to compensated for the drop trackbar bracket -finally started on my +96 dual diaphram booster and master swap..99% done..have to wire the brake light switch and bleed the brakes -washed it with my luck it will rain Some things happening this weekend; -ordering my Rockkrawler long-arm kit finally :D -getting my 4.10 LSD 8.8 and installling w/ longarms soon :D (i picked up an 8.8 install kit (MORE brand) for $4.00 :eek: -ordering my winch (8000lb) -mounting my 33*12.50 R15 Wrangler MTR's at work also might be selling my Dodge 4x4 and buying either a 89 lifted XJ or a 90 lifted XJ...ill keep ya posted Pics to come soon of the booster swap
  8. i have 2...unfortunantly happened the same day... :roll: I was reinstalling my tranny for the second time and had the 1/2" drive wrench on the bellhousing bolts tightening them up and the wrench slipped and WHACK...right upside my head...after some colorful language :mad: i continued to work and about 15 min later i had the same 1/2" drive hanging from the control arm while i reached up for something and then BAM...it slipped and popped me right in the forehead...after the stars went away i continued to work and relized my sweat tasted kinda funny..got up and had blood coming down from the 2nd impact...after that i called it a day... :chillin:

  12. i would love to get it and i told the guy that...he said that nobody is interested b/c of the motor and he lives 90mi away from the closest town...no prob for me i have a flatbed to tow it..so he said its mine if i want it :D ..the only thing holding me up is i have to sell my Dodge 4x4 first b4 i can by the Manche....got a place to store it...right next to the 92XJ so i can pull everything and swap it while they are next to each other...
  13. yes it is...hes a good buddy of mine and i buy any if not all my replacement parts from him...he takes good care of me when i need something :cheers: i highly recommend them for any jeep needs
  14. really...he made me my front bumper last dec and when i spoke with him and his brother in law (rob) he said there wasnt enough of a demand for them so he wasnt thinking of making them....I'm hoping he changed his mind since then b/c i love the design of my front and wanted some sliders and a rear bumper from him also :D

  16. yea i have everything...a buddy and i have a 92XJ that we were using for parts for his 86XJ but I'm taking everything thats needed for a swap
  17. yea underneath is remarkably clean...everything works...just has 2 clylinders w/ lower than normal compression...the best thing about the engine and tranny swap is all of the parts are ready to go into whatever i buy and its free...other than the purchase of a truck of course...

Hey all i have a chance to get another MJ...here are the specs i know so far: 89 MJ: Sport truck 2wd, D35, 2.5 4cylinder (low compression), 5spd, NO RUST ANYWHERE i have a complete 92 4.0 HO w/harness and AW4 (2wd) w/ everything that i can swap in...asking price $700....Yea or Nah??? Image Not Found would plan to do a 4wd swap in the future...should i buy it??
  19. that looks purdy....awesome job so far on the rockers...thats the only reason i like AZ...don't have to worry about rust...but its way to hot to work outside... :nuts:

  23. looks like he taped them off then just painted over them...when he pulls the tape off there will be no paint there...i think
