  1. Update: Finally took it on a road trip and it performed very well, things to do next.... -Trim front fender and add my new TJ flairs -Add A-piller pod and Trans Temp guage -change trans fluid -add HD trans cooler -totally clean up interior -add exterior lighting
  2. yea good point i remember when i had lots of bills to pay and wasnt bringing in enough to keep my pants on...lol..fortunatly I'm 22 and am starting with Peoria Police shortly so my addicition will be even bigger when i buy my house and have more storage Yea the 3800 has way more value to yourself than the 89...i honestly would give ya upwards of 3500-4K for it....everything done good and its in great shape....I would buy it but already got my MJ and XJ at the house :D :D
  3. i would keep the 89 and the 3800 and get rid of the other one you just bought....alot of work just to let her go
  4. No i havent decided if i wanna buy the brackets/UCA/LCA's yet or just hold out for my longarms... :dunno:...ill post up some pics when i install my rollbar and lights and move the rockratz bar over to the XJ
  5. Well this morning i took the MJ down to the shop to have the lockers and new gears installed :D Only thing that sucked was i couldnt drive it all day  but i had the XJ so its was half-way ok.... Got the call about an hour ago and went to pick it up and WOW what a difference...went from 3.07 to 4.10 on my 32's and totally woke the truck up...had him install a Trac-Loc out back and my Loc-Rit up front...have to wait 500mi to take it offroad but i can't wait to get her back on the trails
  6. talked to him the other day...he really doesnt want to mass produce them but I'm driving up there in 2wks to have him make some for my MJ after i do my gears tomorrow...ill try to butter him up to make some :D
  7. Look at this pile of crap i saw on my local craislist    http://phoenix.craigslist.org/car/406030661.html
  8. 3800=3.8 camaro engine
  9. i have a 40 series flowmaster w/ a custom tailpipe that exits behind the rear wheel tucked up above the leaf spring and turns down below the bedside..sounds great and only paid...$185
  10. yea my original in the MJ blew the cap apart....TWICE...put in the new cap and bottle from Chrysler...and pow that was toast...now its a overflow tank.... :D The XJ i figured that i might as well do it now b4 it strands me in an inconvenient spot
  11. pre 92 jeeps used a closed cooling system...no radiator cap....they use a pressure bottle that keeps pressure in the system... an open system uses a radiator cap to keep pressure in the system...much better over the plastic pressure cap in my opinion
  12. here it is sitting on the new tires b4 the ZJ coils....Late last night i installed the ZJ coils last night and extended bumpstops...need to trim a little and install my new swaybar and bushing/endlinks here's a breakdown of my build and prices so far: Parts bought w/ $500 from the guy: -Pro-comp AAL and ES3000 for rear -Water pump -thermostat -radiator -hoses and coolant -p/s pump -XJ visors -ZJ coils Parts bought w/$150 from Grizzy rims: -4 Rockcrawler 297series rims -2000XJ swaybar and endlinks (1" longer) Freebies: :D -4 32"11.50 R15 Kumho M/T -2 RS5000 front shocks (2mnths old) -Front light bar -Dash bezel -seatbelt ends -rear shackles (not installed..havent decided) -40 series flowmaster and new tailpipe Overall i have spent nothing out of my pocket to build her so far  More to come...............
  13. if you wanna do the swap and make it easy...buy a 96 booster and click on pete page that he supplied and it really simple
  14. thats totally awesome i so want my driveway and garage to be filled up with as many MJ's as i can find :D My g/f says I'm crazy but whats she know
  15. swapping the rod is meant for the booster to the pedal...not the master cylinder...you need the correct m/c for the booster...the rod from the booster to the pedal is the problem...thats what they mean by swapping the rod
  16. what year s10...I'm looking to get one like that
  17. swapping the rod is a lot more complicated than it seems...i tried and failed...use the 96 booster w/the aluminum spacer and it lines up perfectly...i didnt have to cut grind or modify anything other than brake lines to get mine in...easy as pie :D
  18. if the booster works...swap it in...no biggie The D30 would be a good swap...even just to use the shafts...That 8.25 i believe is a 27 spline unit which is only a little better than the 35 but still better...I'm swappin my D35 in the XJ to a 99 8.25 w/3.55 LSD and alloys i just got :D
  19. booster upgrade is 95 and up....94 still has single diaphram...not worth squat U-joints were changed over in 93/94 i believe...not 100% sure
  20. I'm ditching the D35 in my XJ for a 3.55 8.25 LSD w/29spline alloy shafts for $125...not bad for everything i wanted...correct ratio also...and its the same width as the D35..no need for spacers..
  21. yea i can spend an entire paycheck in there if i wanted to :D he always has everything in need and don't need...i help him out and he does the same  UPS should have a freight system that can handle that but I'm not 100% sure...glad i could help
  22. Well i got my new "shoes" for the XJ today...a little close for comfort so here's the question...I'm running a 2" AAL and plan on a 1" shackle to help clear the back but the front has the following: ZJ coils, 1.75 spacer, .75 spacer and factory isolator...is that enought to clear...i plan on removing both front and rear flairs...lemme know Rims: 15x8 w/ 3.75" b/s
  23. :agree: with jeepcomj....front end seems to be pulled back slightly...i would try and push the lowers out a bit more
  24. c-clip is in the rear differential and its what holds the axleshaft in the carrier...if you break an axleshaft the entire brake assembly, tire and busted part of the shaft will come out of the housing...D35 with anything bigger than 31's are not your friend...save your money for a chryco 8.25 or a 8.8...much stronger and youll be much more happy
  25. I had a similar problem and when i stepped on my brakes the idle went up and i could hear a hissing...turned out the diaphram in my booster was torn(took it apart after)...my thoughts would be the booster is junk..my $.02
