  1. well i have family and friends in Germany ,they are piss-off over the fuel with alcohol ! its causing a lot of trouble from carbon up the back of the intake valves to killing o2 sensors loss of mileage etc -i have seen some of what talking about ! http://www.straightdope.com/columns/rea ... ood-or-bad and BWM came out its not good !!!oh the flex-fuel is a big pile of crap too!!! i have been putting a crap of o2 sensors last 5 years more than before at 60,000 mile mark ,now you get 30,000 miles with luck !!
  2. this jeep is not bad to work on ,but this part is driving me very mad ! mislabeled parts ,label says u.s sizes 3/8'' / 3/16 but its metric 10mmx1mm and china made !! is there any us made brakes out there left ??? :wall: :fs2:

  4. the best way to find your leaks [clean /degrease before]is to add UV dye to one part at time and run for about 100 miles next sweep/scan with uv light ......only fix what is needed
  5. what the hell a ''clean jeep'' WOW!!!!like a pig in the mud ,jeeps are the same ....
  6. Do you honestly believe that China produces Jeep unit bearings on their own initiative? Products that are made in China are made to their customers' specifications. And these customers are American companies. The Chinese are perfectly capable of producing auto parts of the highest quality. They have sent men into outer space so I'm sure they can make a top-notch Jeep unit bearing. But their American customers give them a set price point, which is usually pretty low, in order to maximize profits. I used to work for an American athletic shoe company and we had factories in China and Korea. So I have seen this first hand. We would tell the factories to skimp and cut corners in order to reduce costs, usually against their objections. The factories wanted to produce the best product they could, but we would say no. i have heard this one before and it very true -i have some tools from china -fit and finish is very good so far no broken one at 25 years still running strong ....the bottom line crap or the deal of cheap from the glory of the minute to hours of pains !!!
  7. this 1994 jeep is a Cherokee sport ...what rust does to things as i was the R&R the differential [talk about pinion bearing wore out like more then 3/4'' back lash and one cracked axle too] the brake line in the back just peel apart too ,DAMN work, more parts !!! wow what can jeeps take still work ,but the newer ones cars and trucks NOT like this made !!would you all say the same ?? thxs
  8. 4 or 6 ? ok one mod cheap and works well ...please don't flame me on this one ! get some new ford 300 '' rocker arms that knocks the lift in the mid .400's without spring bind or wear... Wait what? I've been working with Jeeps for a few years now and I've never heard this one before. How did you come across this? ok i have been working for 30 some years on cars and trucks plus a bit of racing too...we found to cheat at times if a configuration of a different part is close and get a gain ,it may be overlooked by the techy ,hey we win ....i had to seal my valve cover one day ,4 years ago and seen the rockers ...said damn i seen this rocker arm config before .....next went to the tool box found one new in the package ...match it up the fulcrum point its about a 1/8'' closer to the pivot .next i took one rocker arm off one put it on turned engine slowly with feeler gauge at the highest point lift over .050 spacing -no binding turned the rest of the way slowly ....win ok all stop got more of them but one trouble was the valve cover ... the plastic one part of the pcv baffle area will hit so grind or cut [easy]so no hit is done --hand turn of engine is needed .... i have 60,000 miles so far plus other mods on her .....working well ...
  9. 4 or 6 ? ok one mod cheap and works well ...please don't flame me on this one ! get some new ford 300 '' rocker arms that knocks the lift in the mid .400's without spring bind or wear...
