  1. Sorry its been so long. Havnt really had any time nor parts to do anything wit lately, sooooo Just bought a 1998 Cherokee with blown motor to get parts and part out in order to fund more building. Pics to come soon, Also, anybody have experience hotwiring electronic doors? Thanks for the help!
  2. Hey ya'll, I like being able to have a place to put stuff and keep it dry at the same time have the ability to put a motorcycle or tall loads in the bed of the truck. Does anyone happen to know what trucks are equivalent in size and what not that would allow me to mount the Bestop Supertop to the comanche. Thanks in advance!
  3. Ok, so i figuered it out, it was the first attempt schematic, some of my bulbs were bad, so i replaced them all and checked all my wiring and got it to work. here's a better look at the diagram of basiclly what i did. Using the Older harness end with about 7-8"s of wire on it connecting to the identified colors on the new harness.
  4. Ok, so i picked up a newer wiring harness to fit onto my 1988 Comanche Pioneer with the new front headliner. So i pulled out the haynes manual, started following wires and naming them and what not and came up with this. Once that was done, I started doing some simplyfing and started connecting wires. Once i had each of them connected I went down and tried it, Headlights and two of the front parking lights worked, one on either side, none of the turn signals were working, and neither side lamp was lit. So finding that to not work, i ran up stairs, re wired a little and came up with this. This time, both front parking lamps came on on each side, really bright, but still no turn signal action nor side lamp lighting. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! or point me to the thread that holds the answers. I searched on here for hours and couldnt find what i was looking for.
  5. here's a few pictures of what i currently have done. I found a guy with the wireing harness, front fenders, and doors...... Now if he'll just answer my PMs, haha. Out of a box comes my brand new 97+ Grill and header panel assembly, bought and shipped to me for less than $150 All the screws and fittings i had to buy from advance auto parts to make it all work the final product Fitted up to the Truck, theres a few rub spots, but not too bad. Got bored and decided to paint my tailights like ive seen a few people do, turned out pretty good i must say. Still missing two headlight correcting bolts, my other two were rusted out.
  6. NOT MINE, but a guy on NC4X4 is selling a set if anyone needs em, he wanted me to post em up here. http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108752
  7. hit the back button and leave to the previous page, then click the forward button  Just got it to work, hitting reload works too aparently,
  8. I somehow got the old view on facebook earlier today, and now it won't let me copy image URLs. So here's the web address to the album, i just added photos of the bed and diff cover and type of spray i used on the bed. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3 ... 5347&saved
  9. PICS ARE ADDED!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the help with the photos, The album is public to everyone, if its not accesable let me know, or add me on FB, just make sure you add a note or I won't add you. Ill get pics of the bed today.
  10. I am native from Charlotte, its where I grew up and what not. Now I'm in college and pretty much live in Raleigh, so i'll go home from time to time to see the folks. Anybody know where i can get a tailgate handle for cheap?
  11. found a complete front clip on ebay, less than 150 and its being shipped to me!
  12. I know, I know....... How do you put pictures in the actual post? I'm not a fan of photobucket, i see lots of people with issues with it. Someone help me out????
  13. here's an update, Got the front clip off, but it seems every pull a part or junkyard that has/had a 97+ cherokee, has already been picked for its front or it was demolished. SOOOOOO I'm still looking. I bought a spray on bed liner from lowes, which the paint guy lied to me saying that one can would do a whole bed, three cans down i still find myself needing one more can. The one good thing i got from pull apart was a Ford 8.8 w/ 4.10 gears and factory limited slip. It was already opened up, but the gear oil left in the cover and what i looked at looks clean, and the inside after you wipe it down looks SHINY!!!! Only downside is that its missing the left axle shaft and brake assembly, but they neatly left the pieces sitting there, i guess one more trip to PAP is in order. Already started cleaning the diff cover, kinda dirty, but nothing a little cleaning and polishing can't solve. Still on the look out for a HP Non-disco Dana 30 w/ 4.10s. Only a little over spray on the tailgate, no tapeing involved, Diff cover cleaned, sanded, and painted with "underbody" coating. I was out of bed coating, so we'll see how this works, has a kind of rubbery texture. That is all for now.
  14. Anybody ever swapped one in? It was just a thought seeing as how my gas tank is rather rusty and plastic tends not to bend like metal. And it would center up the weight. Thanks for any tech tips or pics! Pics would be GREATLY appreciated.
  15. I kept looking for the answer i was looking for, but found nothing definite that really answered my question. Currently i have a set of stock, 4x4, non metric ton springs that are pretty rusty, not sure how rusty at the moment, but look kinda ugly. I'm looking at buying a set of stock springs from someone else on here to use in my SOA lift. I was wondering if a Bastard pack made from the set that i can buy plus my set, should they turn out ok. Give me the weight carrying ability of a new bumper, spare tire, gear, etc. as a set of metric tons would? I'm guessing the amount of lift gained from an SOA with the B-Pack would net about the same amount of lift as a MT pack? Thanks for the help guys!
