  3. i have have them weird running times .....i caught it !!! damn gm tbi injector gremlin .....it stated to spray badly and stutter ....CRAP to caught them do this one and clean up its act ....damn !!!it will drive you nuts at times !

  5. i made some xj work on mine - on the front mount leg a 1/2 hole must be about 1.25 back needs a 1.25 wide steel flat stock by 1/8 thick with bolts and nuts to match the pattern ...this works the seat is higher but more space under the seat ...easier to clean and store things etc
  6. ok i have 15 psi on fuel ,spark yes ...when you sit for 2 or more hours cranks no start ..step on the gas penal about haft down ...starts .....
  7. imfo on the TBI system like fuel psi , does the fuel pump have a check valve ? why i am having strange start troubles when cold ...must step on gas when to start up ..it just started to do this ! what the moo ?!
  8. i just got finished a water pump job on a mj with 4 liter ....no noise or leaking but over heating ..the trouble is the impeller the inner side about 1/3 of blade is 4 times away from inverted cone then the new pump in the same area ...which would make the water stall and slow down the water circulation......so watch out on this one
  9. not worth the pain and time ...on the short cut .. if yoy can find real brass plugs and do all freeze plugs on that side ...the best way is to drill a hole in the plug on the side toward the edge and with a seal puller ....push inward .. to istall i use blue loctight gel on the sides of the new plug ...i hope this helps out

Tuesday pulled in the shop hearing a strange noise from the front end ....found where the noise is coming from the upper control arm .....lifted mj up think what the hell pulled off the control arm out falls the bushing with both yokes broken open !!! talk about shock !!!anybody else heard of this happening before ? thxs
  11. update .. this started about 3 weeks ago the system went very lean like in backfires and hard to start .....i went with my fluke 88 the course of ohn and voltages all faired good ..what the moo?wiring good too so what is next ? yes she is a 2.5 liter TBI ...
  12. sorry i left out she has TBI injection ....i think i found it tonight ...i will pull out her tongue out Wednesday .........will up date and do a total write up ......
  13. stay away from advance auto drive works brand ......its made in china its worst than fram !!! seen them fail like filter element knotted up around core area .....causing oil psi gauge to drop .....lifter noise happens !!
  14. when my mj is colder than 40^ ....she is a real pain to start and run ......yes all sensors have been ohm out at different temps -all is ok all rest of the values are good ! damn she is like my ex wife a little chilly turns to be a b*@$£ ! this just started a few days ago !!!
  15. the adjustment of the ideal stop is about 12mm out from the black plastic end ]<==12mm==>I to the base of the head......
  16. RUST! yes with all this bad gas today maybe ? what is your rail fuel pressure ?? got a noid light LED light to see if injectors are getting fire from the brain and seeing if wiring is good too .....
  17. broken ring ? i have seen this with very heavy pinging and the other bad oil control - valve seals / rings etc

  19. joking ....most jeep are like women don't like the cold ....iac setting is about 12mm from black base to tip
  20. OUCH !! for many others things new hardware and tools for job ........use of pattern tightening plus use of never seize helps too
  21. i have the earlier one of this tool .....its a must have and easy to use with care http://www.powerprobe.com/pp3.php please don't do some half witt tests which can damage more then help ....
  22. what i did was get vacuum tank with check valve -3/8 vacuum line from manifold and other 3/8 line to the brake booster to can which also has a 1/8 hose nipple for air controls --this can is where the gas evaporation can used to be .....the older plastic can set was in the front right hand side of the bumper with very long hoses which a time with leaks etc ......learned something about leaks !!!
  23. this is right way ...plug wire mount over #1 drill a hole in a cheap cap app. 3/8 hole and mount modded cap with rotor ....turn engine slowly by hand see the leading edge of rotor in the center of hole ...see if #1 is a TDC too this is old school but works
  24. may i add beef up your ground circuits with lugged battery cables one to engine next to body ....i have done both thxs to cruiser54 earlier post over this same issue ....one more thing is look at the fuse box area for other troubles like brake fluid hitting it ....rust trails too !!!

    oh crap !!!!

    my dad's 2012 Overland Sport Utility with v-8 [ we love jeeps] ...very nice but i see a major recall in the works worst then the ford 4.6 plastic intake manifold spitting open!!! this is NO joke take a look under the engine .....see a plastic oil pan !!! yes you read right ,a plastic oil pan !!! this is getting nuts with plastic !!!
