I'm running out of bathroom material...

if you go out west (not BC west but maybe calgaryish) you are pretty much gauruntted to find work. i study was done and seeing as how windsor has the highest unemployment rate in ontario right now, over 7 percent of the population has been found to move out there already.... Canada Rules!!! and a lot of snow here in windsor is about an inch... its raining right now...

yeah i think i will fiddle with some smaller stuff befor i do that i want to get an accurate CAD of the frame drawn up do i can tinker with geometry and stuff with it first i think i should go with a bolt on kit before a mess around wtih any of that stuff just having a hard time determining where i want to start modding at
-
definately need to read into it a LOT more is it safe to be building it myself?/ still safe for the road if i chose to take in on a trip? ( i can't see why it wouldnt be but i am very new to the concept as well)
-
there are none but i enjoy catching air sometimes. i woud like to be able to do it with the MJ, although i would more then likely destroy it. we had a sand rail out ot silver lake sand dunes and catchign air in that was awesome
-
yeah i don't think that kit will adapt to an MJ very nicely. But as diry put it, i am toying with the idea i think i would like to start fiddling with some suspensioin stuff this summer, after i toss a d30 up front i also toyed with the idea of making it a Baja truck (i don't think that the word I'm looking for but its the only one i could some up with)

http://www.dc4wd.com/tera.htm#xj there you go dirty its the grand up kit for xj's, you'll kind of have to scroll down to see what I'm talkin bout i don't know if i would go with that set up specifically, but it got my wheels turnin
-
the wiring should be. grab an xj parts doner, swap in the entire dash. it should all bolt in. your motor mounts and tranny skid will be different but the dash should fit just the same as it owuld in any other manche
-
The teraflex conversion to switch to coil spring rear when my manche becomes obsolete for practical use i would love to switch it over anyone seen an MJ like that? difficult to do?

how bout a few more??? lol! welcome to the club

picking them up in the states is deinfaetely an option, as michigan is only 10 mins away problem is i can find great deals, but they are never in my price range/size range walmart was selling all mud rites they had for 90 bucks a piece brand new. they were a no name brand which is what gave me the idea then again, maybe i should worry about getting it on the road for now and new tires in the summer? i have a great set of 265/70/r15s that i picked up used for 25 bucks total
-
hey guys I need some help with something. I am trying to find a set of new non Big name brand mud tires, but I don't know where people are picking them up from Do you know of any good places to try?? I am looking to get a set of mud tires but I don't want to pay a crazy price for them, as I am by no means a serious wheeler yet. Thanks in advance!

thanks CW the part i don't get is if they are advertising for 2 inches of lift, will that only net me 1 inch of lift as you said?
-
are they the 2.5 inch wide ones??? will the actually net you 2 inches of lift or are the mj ones longer then the stock? which did you go with? or will any with the 2.5 inch width work?

D30 full and or mini spool
sinnaevd replied to Oizarod115's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
how does the mini spool work/ what does it do? is it a limited slip? -
we are right around there for gas, but propane is a flat charge rate its 25 to fill a small tank and 80 to fill a large tank lol i don't get it either, but they don't measure actual amounts. its retarded...

D30 full and or mini spool
sinnaevd replied to Oizarod115's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
someone care to explainto me what a mini spool is? does it work similar to a locker? -
I know here in Ontario the price of propane compared to gas is about the same considering the quantity needed but you can fill up anywhere in my area, i dunno bout arther north though
-
now that you mention that CW, I remember telling ppl about the 3/4 inch thing its not even really worth it to buy 2 inch lift shackles, as it only gives me roughly 1 inches of lift dangerous to build yer own???
-
are the XJ leafs as wide as the MJ leafs? looking at budget boost kits and they have 2 inch shackles, didnt know if i could use them or not
-
do either of you guys have the web site for tnt, i would like to check there stuff out and i can't find it full traction was my origional choice back when i was going to try to lift
-
propane never caught on down here, i don't really now why. I know a few ppl that used to run it back in the early 90's and got rid of it because there wasnt much difference cost wise between running propane and gasoline. with the loss of horsepower it just wasnt worth it. but now i have no idea what the cost savings would be. better for the environment and you can BBQ off of ur fuel. a loss of HP might be worth it, now that the systems are a lot more advanced from my understanding, the loss of HP might be minimal

use the xj long arm kit and spring over your rear, IIRC you have to spring over the read with the 5.5 kit ne way Rubicon Express makes a solid kit that you can trust. shop around as well, there are some smaller companies i have found by searching that SEEM to have decent kits as well
