  1. Ok. I measured grounds this morning. It was 60 degrees with heavy fog. It’s been unseasonably warm and raining the past few days. I read 1.4 ohms from the grounds on the TPS MAP and Intake sensor. No movement when wiggling wires. Tried to crank the truck and it fired right up. I’m wondering if there is something happening here I haven’t noticed so I’ll check it for a few days to collect data. Hopefully I find a correlation to something. Lol.
  2. Got the new fog light and cargo light panel installed. Really happy with the way this turned out.
  3. I decided to dig deeper measuring at the IAC and MAP as well. To note I have not dug into the harness and removed ground crimps on this circuit. They all measured right at 1 ohm. No movement from any test point when moving wires. If I get the issue tomorrow morning I’ll remeasure the grounds to verify the reading stays consistent. Other than this I’m really not sure where to go. When I get the issue the truck cranks up almost instantly instead of the long crank time that’s normal with a renix. It also goes up to a little over 1k RPM instead of the right at 2k RPM when it’s starts correctly.
  4. Well while dealing with a random start up issue I went ahead and refurbed the door jamb switches so I have lights when I open the doors. It’s the little things!
  5. Alright went back through and I think my measurement was off. I cleaned everything and get 1 ohm through the harness. Doesn’t move when moving the harness from the dipstick side or injector side. This is the reading I got when I originally installed the new ground and cleaned up everything. Is that better?
  6. It’s all brand new but I’ll go back through it and see what it does.
  7. I figured. I’ve updated all grounds from your page. Just odd I don’t get any variations when moving the harness around.
  8. Thanks for the idea. I did this in July when I bought the truck. I had to basically replace everything from the tank forward. Gas tank was rusted and it needed a new sending unit and pump. I put a MTS unit in and did the cruiser ground clean up and mods while in there. I’ll double check again. It’s a really strange issue. Try to crank it in the morning and it does the same symptoms. Wait a little bit and it finally cranks and runs correctly. Then it runs great for the remainder of the day I’ve worked on a lot of older jeeps but this is my first Renix. Needless to say it is kicking my butt lol.
  9. When it does finally crank correctly it runs perfect at 750RPM. You give it gas and it revs correctly etc. @cruiser54 I retested the grounds on the TPS harness. B terminal to ground on battery and get a consistent 2.9 ohms. It does not change with any type of wiggling wires etc. is this acceptable or do I need to dig back into grounds?
  10. Ok. I’ve been dealing with this every morning. Once the truck cranks correctly it’s runs and drives fine all day. Just replaced cap, rotor, and plug wires. Still have the same issue. Went back through and re verified the TPS, CPS and IAC. All seem to be correct. Throttle body is clean and set to a 3 thou gap. Checked grounds again and all seems good. Fuel pump is good and working correctly. Injectors and fuel pressure regulator are brand new within the last 6 months. I did go through the entire fuel system because I had to anyway. The truck runs and drives great until this happens. Any other sensors I need to look into on this truck. This is the first renix I’ve owned.
  11. Anyone know what this connector is for? It’s broken under the driver side right by the O2 sensor. Can’t seem to track down where it leads. Thanks for all your help.
  12. You are good. I need to get the other one in the mail and that looks like next week right now. It’s supposed to rain the next couple days so I’m just excited to test it out in the rain lol.
  13. Thanks to @eaglescout526 I now have intermittent wipers again.
  14. Like the title says. What is this vac line for? I am assuming it’s a vac line. I circled it and where it goes on the engine. It runs into the firewall. TIA
  15. Still tracking down the random misfire issue but here is the the final radio install. Took a little modifying but I am happy with how it looks now.
  16. Unfortunately no it’s not the same issue I had before. Validated the MAP and it’s correct. I had a MAP vac line leak that caused my original issue. Tried again this morning and got the same issue. Oddly enough after letting it sit for 30 minutes or so it cranks up. I swapped back in the old TPS sensor and calibrated it again. Runs fine now but we shall see.
  17. I installed Jeep Cables too. Dang good upgrade. My cables looked worse than those and somehow it still ran lol.
  18. If you still have death wobble it’s not related to i joints etc. the vibrations definitely could be for sure. Tire vibration stays when you let off the gas. Typically drivetrain vibrations stay when you let of the gas etc.
  19. Well still having fun with this thing lol. Tried to crank her up this morning and got a misfire and sputtering. It was running super rich like a MAP issue. Checked everything out and swapped in the old MAP sensor that I replaced and everything cleared up. Guess only time will tell if this was the root cause or not.
  20. How are your ball joints? Did you replace track bar bushings when you did the control arms? The easiest thing to do is have a friend turn the wheel left to right slowly and watch each connection point in the axle and frame to make sure you do not see movement. Also jack up each sides ball joints for excessive play.
  21. I’m starting to wondering if the new MAP is causing the issue. I’ll dig deeper into that this afternoon. I saved the old one just in case.
  22. For 2 days in the morning I’ve gotten this symptom. It cranks up and misfires / runs rich. I’ve replaced CPS, MAP, IAC, TPS, all power wires and grounds. Cool and ignition module are new because they were failing when I bought the truck. I have not replaced cap rotor, cap or plug wires yet. I will pick them up today. This truck was in a barn for several years not running so I have went through most of this just refreshing everything. It runs great when it runs. The injectors are new and have been running great too. They are upgraded 4 hole injectors. Any other ideas of what would cause this. When I give it gas it’s obvious there is a serious lack of power and it has a super rich exhaust. TIA
  23. Just got this little beauty in the mail. Can’t wait to install it and get rid of the crappy SPST switch the PO ran for the fog lights. These are beyond expectations for sure.
  24. Finally threw in the new single DIN radio. It’s a non CD unit. I can control it from my phone or voice. The nice thing is that I can now have hands free calling it’s the small things haha.
