  1. I use SEM Paint Shadow Blue is the color. It’s a color match for the later model blue interior. It looks great in person.
  2. They are pretty straight forward honestly and some good advice here. Take your time and don’t be afraid to wiggle and pull at the same time to unseat those o-rings. Go ahead and throw a new pressure regulator in there too while your at it.
  3. Finally got a minute to get the center console installed. Really liking how this turned out in the end!
  4. I did this but it was to move the CTS to the top of the engine block. I left the temp sensor for the gauge where it was for my purpose.
  5. Slowing putting the console back together 😊
  6. A little late night work on the new to me center console. Hoping to have this ready for the truck in a couple days 😊
  7. Decided to dive in and see if I could track down the location of a small water leak from the corner of my back glass. Digging out the seal was tedious to say the least. 20+ years of crud etc held it in pretty good. Got it peeled back and poured water to find the spot where the urethane came unglued. Found a little rust spot I had to doctor first. Got everything cleaned out, touched up the paint and used a flowable silicone to seal the crack. So far so good, so hopefully it holds up when it rains later this week. while I was waiting I threw in a set of led reverse bulbs and damn these things put out some light! I can finally see backing out of my driveway in the mornings lol.
  8. My guess will be $350+, they will not be cheap
  9. You are correct. The kit I had was AC designation. The NOS has the weep hole to help bleed the system. It also has a metal stopper instead of runner and a higher coil count spring. NOS also tells you which side is up and which side faces the radiator 😂
  10. Nice. That explains a lot. I knew it had to have logic coded somewhere to either accept the high reading or switch so the engine would keep running somewhat correctly. Thanks for the info.
  11. Haha tell me about it. I’m guessing the computer has some logic coded in that says if it does not see a signal from the CTS it just counts the water temp up to 246 and uses that as the temp input?!?!…. The REM would show it counting up by 1 degree every couple seconds until it maxed out at 246 🤷‍♂️
  12. Sadly no. I was to busy trying to put the jeep back together before rain moved in.
  13. Haha. Yeah that went sideways fast 😂. I wish I had taken pics of the thermostats. I picked up the kit off eBay a year or so ago for $15. on a side note the CTS relocation is doing great.
  14. She rides steady at 195-206 now. So nice to have a working CTS 😂
  15. Just an FYI. I found one I had NOS on the shelf. It was the kit with gaskets etc. the Mopar design is completely different from the Motorad I had in the truck. I’m sure things changed a little in the past 30 years but some key design features were not in the Motorad. I found that pretty interesting. I also swapped the CTS to the gooseneck yesterday. What I found on the Motorad is that it had a rubber stopped on the plunger that would swell slightly and stick. It wasn’t noticeable to the eye but measuring it definitely showed a difference from a new one to a used one. again thanks for all the help as always. This place is amazing.
  16. Well I got tired of seeing my CTS read 246 on the REM. I removed the air box and it gave me enough access to get to the CTS, O2 and Knox sensor. To my surprise the CTS connector was just hanging with broken wires. It wasn’t like that the last time I went through the truck etc. So o decided to refresh all the wiring and reroute the CTs to the goose neck. I had a 94 HO goose neck sitting on the shelf for a motor I’m building so I grabbed it and got to work. I pulled the wiring and repaired the harness side connector to the CTS. This wasn’t easy. The pics show you why lol. I split out the CTs wiring so I could run it up to the goose neck, retaped and protected both wire looms. Luckily I snagged a NOS CTS off eBay for a nice price and used that on the goose neck. I left the old CTS in the block to plug the hole. I attempted to remove it but it wasn’t budging. Bolted everything back together. Topped off the coolant and boom! We now have accurate coolant temp data going to the computer!
  17. Thank you everyone for all the help and advice. Hopefully this one works longer than a year!
  18. I do test them and my coolant system is spotless haha. Went through the entire thing when I pulled the truck out of the barn it was in. It worked fine for over a year and no randomly sticks. It’s a motorad thermostat. Guess I’ll try another and see how it goes.
  19. Do you have the part number. Everyone I looked up was discontinued.
  20. Like the title says. Looking for a factory thermostat for the MJ etc. haven’t had great luck with aftermarket working correctly haha.
  21. Asheboro, NC huh. That's where I grew up! Nice to see someone local!
  22. Decided to refresh the side vent seals today. Grabbed some sticky insulation foam from the hardware store and went to work.
  23. (3 Pack) Universal Firewall Boot - Safe and Convenient Firewall Grommet Kit Can Accommodate 3/8 Inch to 1 Inch Wire Bundles https://a.co/d/bDm8neQ
  24. Added some hella fog lights back to the front bumper. Added a new radio antenna cable grommet from Amazon and clean up the side vents. Also did a little rust preventative under the chassis. 😊
  25. I used one of these off amazon.
