    pure madness

I would LOVE  to have one BUT i am in SC and don't have anyway to get it from way up there. Cole
  2. I have the 2.5  and yes i know but i don't have to many complaints with it. Cole
  3. Its a piece of paper that states ownership and identifys the vehicle and all that other stuff. This is a short version I'm sure someone will explain all the technical stuff. Cole
  4. Its prob the IAC but the replacements i have found have been in the mid $100 range so i didnt replace mine. You can try to adjust the idle up with the bolt on the front of the IAC. Hope this helps. Cole
  5. I don't have any pics but i know if you search for this you will find some. I have seen this question alot. Cole
  6. The only reason i had suggested a fuel cell is i didnt know how big the aftermarket was about having stock gas tanks. I was just thinking its alot easier to find one than find a stocker. And if its a DD you could get a huge tank and not have to stp so much but your guage will be off. I agree that they are not as easy as thought out to be me and a friend put one in a TJ and ran in to all kinds of trouble and we had to rethink our original idea several times. Good luck with the fix. PS i am originally from Brevard NC which is right above Greenville so i know exactly where you are. Cole
  7. Do it that would be one low crawl ratio even at 37s. i gotta use this one :teehee: couldnt resist.
  8. I would buy a fuel cell if i was you But thats me. A fuel cell would be easy to mount since you can stick it in the bed and strap it down.I'm pretty certain the XJ tanks are different from MJ so that is a no go. I'm sure someone knows where to buy stock parts like this from i just thought i would throw the cell idea in. Where are you located in SC??? I'm stationed at Shaw AFB in Sumter. Cole
  9. My problem was i could barely see the road it was so bad and it would go straght if you put it on train tracks. It was probally one of the roughest ride ive ever had in or on anything. Cole
  10. I had to remove the hinge from the door and then cut the pin in half with a die grinder. On the other side i beat it like no other and it finally slipped out. I also used PB blaster to eat away some of the rust on the side i beat out. Cole
  11. Sounds like a good idea to me. Something like a quick reference section or something where websites or store can be linked to or there info posted up. You could even have feedback from the peolple who choose to go through the place so you know what to expect like with rustys you should expect everything to suck. :D :agree: Cole
  12. Just guess at it it shouldnt be to hard just count down when you go to reverse or drive. :D it wouldnr be to hard. Cole
  13. I think he was asking you if it was a dana 35 or a different axle than what is already on your jeep. and also if its high pinion or low pinion and all of the other technical aspects of it. Cole
  14. Thats what i thought you would say. I have seen people riding the roads with them at 55 mph and i don't see how they can do it. I only got to 30 and thought my truck was going to blow up. Cole
  15. I had boggers and drove on the MJ to work one day and turned around and come home because it was such a rough ride i thought something was wrong. Have you had any road troubles with yours or do you even drive on the road. Cole

You can do the cooking oil thing and then fuel becomes really cheap useally free... Just an idea Cole
  17. I took my passenger side seat out 2 months ago and havent put it back in cause the wife will sit at home before she gets in the MJ. Congrats on finding the prob sometimes you just get to much into mechanics and overlook simple problems, We've all done it. Cole

I don't think it needs the chrome either..Maybe just a black thinck piece of metal for the front chrome so it acctually does something. Cole
  19. I don't think there will be to many problems in the electrical system since i welded my tube doors up while they were on the truck and had no problems. As far as welding it in general the metal is pretty thin so you will have to be careful not to burn through it. You may want to add some metal to it like a piece of angle or a plate. Cole
  20. What about the voltage guage?? mines not working and i don't know what to check. I got everything else to work so this is all i have left. I think there might be a wire loose but i don't know what wires go where to check and my haynes manual was no help. Cole

There was a write up in the Peterson off road mag about it. It is a kit you can buy but jeep said there is a Great possibility it can become production due to the fact it is going to use the Chassi of the 07 Wrangler to get the length the only thing to work out is the body but thats done as well since the company that created already donr it for them. I will try to find the mag and post up the article later. Cole
  22. Hopefully they will by the morning i need it ready for the work week  after my vacation i don't want anything else to piss me off besides going back at it. It woulnt be to great to add my broke MJ to the problems that are going to come up this week. But back to the matter at hand...I guess i prolly have a disconnected terminal for the volt guage i just need to know where to look for it. I'm not big with electrical at all. What is your idle RPMS is it around 700 or lower. If you can check for me and get back to me tomorrow or something. Cole
  23. I run 35s on my stock axles and i know I'm going to break sometime so i don't need antone to tell me that but i have wheel this way for 3 years and even been all over Tellico and no problems YET. I put lockrights in about 3 months ago and havent been on real hardcore stuff but I'm sure when i do it will break but there are so many out there.I have 3 complete (front and rear) sets to replace mine with so not to much worry about parts just labor. IMO find some spares and run it. Oh yeah I only have a 4 banger with 4.10s so not to much power there but the axles are really week compared to others.just my penny or two worth. Cole
  24. Also if anyone has a part number (Advance or auto zone or OEM) for the Sensors i need i would greatly appreciate it since the guys at the parts store don't know what i am talking about half the time  and they don't understand custom changing out factory parts for different. Thanks agian. Cole
  25. Ok since i can get that stuff at the parts store i have a question about the Tach. Will it read the correct RPMs or is it to low??? the reason i asked is i got it in and the tach is only reading around 6-700 at idle is this right or is there a way i can fix it if not? Just making sure i don't waist any money or time trouble shooting. Also my Voltage guage isnt working, Is there something i have to hook up on it or change or a connection i can check if so where is it located? Thanks for the input. Cole
