Aftermath of a Dead Alt.
JOMJ87 replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
At least they keep it interesting. Cole -
Or why not swap motor and all over to yours. I would buy it and use it unless its to rusty or torn up. You could put your motor in it if it haas a bad one and they are the same. Cole

You know something funny now that the topic is on reliability... MY wife who hate smy truck cause sh says I love it more than her  ;) and I were making our way to NC for Christmas and on the way a YJ was broke down on the interstate and without me saying a word she says "you know you just don't see Jeeps on the road broke down like that I think thats the first time I saw one" and I said "well thats why I love my truck" then I got that look from her like you better just stop while your ahead. I thought it was very interesting she out of all people noticed this and once she mentioned it I think it was the first I seen it to. Cole

if it gets in the firing chamber than you have a prob if you run it cause water don't compress to good and can mess stuff up. I would let it dry out as much as possible.IMO Cole

I was thinking you just took the ecu wire and threw a switch in it sorry about that but yeah what he said :agree: . Just a quick thought though would it flood the motor if left on to long before the engine turns over??? I would think so but the injector don't fire till the comp says to right. Maybe i am nuts  i just realized it can't flood if the injector doesnt open. Cole

Rusty's Off Road lifts (2 1/2 inch)
JOMJ87 replied to mparsons's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You will get good and bad opinions on there stuff but recently everyone seems to be pleased unlike before. Some guys will never ever run there stuff again but others love it. My opinion on the lift would be insure the AAL is full length and expect to have a stiffer ride from it being installed. If you are only running 31s and don't care to trim you will not require a lift with a fender trimming done. If you plan on going bigger later save the money and do it sooner than later. don't waste your money on something you only are going to have temporary. Just my 2cents others may disagree. Cole -

You can look at the leaves for the metric tonn I think they had more or thicker ones. Also the rear axle should be a AMC 20 or a D44 if it is metric ton. Cole
