I will be doing my entire interior pretty soon and this stuff seems like good quality. I'm thinking of using it everywhere possible including under the carpet and under the hood if the heat rating is appropriate. It'll be nice to not have so much noise coming into the cab.

I was thinking of ordering in the next couple weeks but I'll watch this thread to see what's going on. Which set of 4 hole injectors on his site are the best fit? I don't want to buy the wrong ones. Will the 19# BMW injectors work? http://www.precisionautoinjectors.com/p ... roductId=7

I'll look into the year issue. I thought it was odd the part would be the same for 19 years. 88-07 was hand written on the box in marker.

Thanks Hornbrod. I'll have to see if I can return these. If not, I'll look into selling them and getting the Teraflex set.

I swapped in a mint condition steering wheel from a JY XJ. I swapped in rear bumper brackets from a part out MJ. I tried to install drop shackles and new leaf bushings. Couldn't remove old bushings and the drop shackles seem too big in every way.

Sooo... I finally got around to installing some 2" Chevy drop shackles I bought on ebay. Of course they are slightly too big! The top end is too wide (1/4"), the bushings bolt hole is too big ( a lot of wiggle room ), And the bottom of the shackle is about 1/3" too wide for the leaf bushing. :fs1: They supposedly fit a Chevy 1500 from 88 to 07. Does anyone have the exact years or a part number for the correct drop shackles? I need to replace these asap so I can install them when I swap in the D44. :wrench:

Thanks for the tips. There's a guy in Ramona selling VG+ condition hood and both bumpers, all for $40. I want the hood in case I mess up on the hood vent project but I'll now pass on the bumpers.

OK, after supper ( = dinner ) I removed the IAC and saw it was coated with carbon. I cleaned the TB cavity with carb cleaner, ran to Autozone, bought new IAC ($60), drove back home, and installed new part. This seems to have greatly improved the symptoms. Now the fluctuation is very slight from 750-800 and disappeared once the engine warmed up on a 8 mile test run. I'll keep my eye on it for the next few days but if things persist, I'll check some of the other suggestions. Tomorrow I'll be installing drop shackles and a new steering wheel.

Is the 99 XJ hood and front bumper compatible with my 88 MJ? Would I need to modify either in any way?
-
I can't seem to find an answer through Search. At idle, especially when cold, my engine idle ebbs and flows between 300-800 in approximately 3 second intervals. If I give a little gas and let off, it drops below 300 and stalls. This symptom improves as the engine warms up but does not go away completely. I have a new EGR valve and fuel filter. What else can I check or replace to solve this annoying issue.

Regarding the will, there are estate packets containing wills, living trusts, and powers of attorney that can be completed and filed by individuals and unless it's very complicated, you really don't need an attorney. If you had to, you can pay a lawyer for an hour to review your packet before filing. In California, most estates automatically go to Probate Court unless there is a Living Trust and Probate charges the estate for all court fees and the assigned probate attorney. Probate ties up all assets for several months while going through the mandatory hearings until the estate is settled. Please don't allow the destruction of your collection. It will be difficult enough to mourn the loss of a beloved member, let alone the loss of so many Comanches.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that is the Geronimo Edition package. It looks like hell but runs forever! -

Finally got the engine mounts in. Due to the 1/2" misalignment, the rubber on the L mount is a little distorted but it should function just fine. I had to pry the mount into place from underneath and it was my 20th attempt that got it.

I've had zero luck using a 5' digging bar. The engine really does not want to line up with the engine bay mount locations. I have a feeling this truck had an accident in it's previous life and tweaked about 1/2". I borrowed my neighbors hoist but I'm not sure how to lift up on the engine without the strap causing damage to something on the driver side. The hoist has a chain with a hook but wouldn't that squeeze the strap, thus squeezing everything it contacts? :dunno: Any advice is welcome.

I installed 2" coil spacers up front and TRIED to install new motor mounts. When I removed the left one, the engine shifted about 1/2" forward so now I have to figure out how to push it back to line up the mounts. YIPEE!!

I went on a drunken welding binge and welded my license plates to the bumpers. No, I really didn't do that. Grab a frame from a JY Cherokee. Easy & Cheap.

I will have to ask but it looks like a late 90s or so. I think it is a common panel to various GM vehicles.

Photos have to come from a public site , like photobucket. There is a post on hear explaining what to do. Basically click the image, copy the img box, and then paste it into your post on CC. The TEST category is a good place to practice until you get it.

Welcome. First, search through the Tech and Project forums to see if the many posts on converting to 4wd can help. If not, post your specific questions in the Tech forum and I'm sure other members will help you out. Don't forget to include as much information about your truck as possible so we can give intelligent answers. We also love pictures.

If nobody answers up, I believe Teamcherokee has them under the ZJ category. http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/parts/ ... more2.html
