when my engine blows up in another 100,000 I'm gonna swap my cluster for something with a tach and oil gauge and what not when I swap the engine

I think 2,000 is on the high side but it might be worth it. mine was marked 3,000 online as well. mine had mice and the lights didnt work as well they are both 87s so it seems like a pretty apples to apples comparison. I would give him a call try to find the vin and then maybe drive out and take a look because as cool wind said they always say no rust but you could maybe save it from the crusher

I don't know how he knows it's a metric ton with the missing tailgate. I bought mine for 2,000 312k miles little rust horrible interior it ran and drove and it was a metric ton for some scale

I would drive out (in your mj so he knows you arent clueless abt these trucks) and look it over. its surprisingly not all sqautted with all the wood in the bed, those five pack leaves are pretty sweet. my guess it the interior is horrible something about it sitting and those glazed windows.

that's probably the right choice. I was under the impression most metric tons were 4wd. its pretty rouh missing a tailgate and the tow mirrors are gone or something

looks a lot like mine . 2k seems fair but on the high end. 4x4 swap a a thing keep in mind.
