  1. Now that's funny. A few years back (maybe 10 years now), I had a friend that put a 350 into an otherwise stock 90's 2dr Cavalier and converted it to RWD. Thing was a beast.
  2. Thanks once again to all, I am still doing alright, but I'm also still in here. I do wish they would let me bring my XJ here to wrench on, that'd be a blast! I have a bit of bad news again though, my CO2 levels in my bloodstream have elevated, so I'm having frequent headaches and talks of putting me on a bi-pap machine while I sleep. It wouldn't be a permanent option, but one that will help while it's needed. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything on when I'll be released, but I'm hoping for this weekend if my PFTs go well tomorrow, after my appointment to learn about my port (for those that know my last name, you'll see a bit of humour in me having a port :rotfl2: ). I will update after I get back to my room, and let everyone know how it all went.
  3. Just anouther update. Sorry I haven't been updating in a couple days, I had a minor surgery on Tuesday to put in a permanent I.V. system. I'm still not quite completely with it from the drugs I was given, but I am alright though. Again, thanks to all for the well wishes, I can't express how much it means to me to know people I've never met care so much for the health of a fellow member. Because of the placement of my new I.V., I can't do my PFTs (lung function tests) until the pain subsides and I can take a full breath without risking damage. This in turn means I'll be in here longer than I had anticipated. The new I.V. is called a port, which is placed under the skin in my abdomen, has a line that also runs under my skin up to my neck. They had to make 3 incisions to do this; one right under my ribs on my right side, one to the right of my right nipple, and one just above my collar bone. It hurts like none other, but in the long run will be better for me, as whenever I come back in here, they only have to insert a needle, instead of having to place a regular I.V. for a couple days at a time, until I would get a P.I.C.C. line (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter).
  4. Thanks to all, really does mean a lot to me. Yes, it is Cystic Fibrosis, and I can relate to the diabetic content as well, as because of my CF, I too am diabetic, which brings on an ultimate suck. I've always said that this is something that I would never wish upon a most hated enemy, but at the same time, I'm glad I have it, as it's made me who I am today. Pat (Jeepco), thanks man, definitely appreciate that. I did get my linux disc for my desktop, before I came in here, so once I'm back home, I'll be working on that. Darren, no worries man, I don't plan on leaving this world any time soon, got too much to be here for. 87Warrior, wish her luck for me, I feel her pain, and yes hospital food SUCKS! CW, wish him luck from me as well, and I agree on CC coming through loud and clear, as well as the thanks to Pete; and LOL to hospital food being 'to blame' for your weight loss. Pat (pingpong), I'm still wishing you the best of luck as well. Once I get back home and get my desktop back up and running, I'll look for a viable online chess game for us to play. Eagle, thank you, although 'complete' recovery isn't possible with this. It's a genetic mutation, so only option to live a normal life again is a cure, which is many years away yet. dakal, I appreciate it, and I'll be stopping in everyday I can. freakjeep, thank you as well. jpnjim, I should be home this weekend if all goes well. WBBKrazy, will do, and I'm sorry to hear that. I too have lost friends due to this disease, and it never gets any easier. I was actually told when I was 6 years old that I wouldn't make it to see 18; I am now 28, so theres always hope, just have to keep your chin up as you said.
  5. So, can anyone guess where I am? Yep, I had to come into the hospital for complications due to my C.F.. I had a sinus infection that led it's way into my lungs, now I'm sitting in here for a week or so, then back home on I.V.s for anouther few weeks afterwards. My laptop hasn't been working too well for a while now, but I had brought it with anyways, only to find out that I forgot my wireless card at home. :wall: I'm currently using the computer in my room, as they got the place on almost lockdown due to the H1N1 virus risks. Thankfully it lets me on here at least, but I can't access much else, which really sucks. Anyways, just thought I'd drop by and give everyone an update.
  6. Yes, I know that the tires would fit in the cab, but why do that? It's a 10'x20' unit, even if I put the tires in the cab, there's NO way 2 rigs would fit in there. I do appreciate you trying to talk me into keeping it, but at the same time, I know I can't.
  7. Could it possibly be a blocked heater core? I honestly have no idea here, just tossing out ideas really.
  8. Not that I recall. I'm quite sure if she was, she wouldn't have gone back to IL. :rotfl2:
  9. Halfway similar here, but a few years ago I was at a friend's party out in the sticks watching them in their 4wd, lifted trucks going off of an about 3' tall dirt mound. They would get done going over it at about 15mph, and come back saying "Did ya see how much air I caught that time?". After about 20 times of watching them get ZERO air at all under the tires (they thought they were, because of their suspension setups), I decided to take Baby over it. I got a god run of about 40mph, and hit the dirt mound... they say I could have cleared a car height and lengthwise easily; landed her right on the DS front, almost in nose dive position. The landing left a 2' deep, 5' long crater in the ground, and made my radiator jump ship, right through the fan. The radiator was literally pretty much pressed against the water pump. The only other damage was a slightly warped fender, bent front bumper, and anything that hasn't been apparent yet. I let her sit overnight, got a new radiator in the morning, installed it, and drove home with no issues. :clapping: Yes, was involved, and no, I haven't done it again and don't plan to ever again.
  10. Don't worry Eagle, I had missed it at first too.
  11. The storage unit I have is barely big enough for the MJ15, 3 sets of old rims/tires (1 set of which is IN the box of the MJ15, as well as my racing seats that are going into Baby), and a few boxes that is in there. I have the biggest unit they offer, and can't afford anouther one to put Baby into. I'd love to keep it, yes, but can't realistically do it. :(
  12. Makes me wish I had my CAD shimmed so my 4wd was working, had heat, had a working radio, had working wipers, had working blinkers, and had money to make it.
  13. No clue Jeff, as for the past couple months photobucket hasn't even been allowing me to upload anything, regaurdless of size or amount. It keeps giving me an error message. Good luck to you either way, and have a beer for me as well.
  14. In fact I have, and if you had looked through the full thread, you would have noticed that it is currently IN a storage unit. :D And thanks, I wish you could buy it, in fact I wish anyone would buy it.
  15. As with anything else, that depends on if it's a manual or automatic, which motor is in front of it, and any other pertinent options that could help determine what trans it has.
  16. Welcome to our corner of the institution. The beer's in the fridge, help yourself, and don't sit on the tan bench seat in the corner.
  17. Well Wade, if you happen to know of a place for me to live that I can keep all 3 Jeeps, is still in my area, and is for about the same rent I pay here; by all means, let me know! :brows: Unless you're volunteering to buy it? :D
  18. I'm still halfway around as well.
  19. Yes it is. dammit why if you sell it were all gunna beat you ya know that Why? Because I have no choice really. I live in an apartment complex where I'm only allowed one parking spot. I have 3 Jeeps, room for 2, and 1 parking spot, do the math, one of them has to go. I'm in no way, shape, or form EVER getting rid of Baby, I need the XJ for pretty much daily life now, so....
  20. Sorry for not getting back on this, I've had a lot to deal with lately. Thanks whowey for the help on location, I'll have to wait a bit before I can do it though, as I have a funeral to go to this week for a friend that passed on Thanksgiving morning, as well as a young cousin that is currently in the hospital, and I'm not feeling the best. The XJ has still been running great though, so I'm hopeful that a basic tuneup along with the Seafoam will be the full cure.
  21. Robbed Baby of her Hurst shift knob to put into the XJ. :fool:
  22. Viable options, and appreciated. The thing is, even before I put the muffler on, it was running like crap, felt like it was almost down a cylinder. After putting the muffler on it, it was quieter, yes, but still ran like crap. When it backfired like that, was almost a transition phase for it, as ever since, it's still running great. I'm still thinking it was just bad gas, as it was a farm truck for the past 8 years, and the nearest place for gas for them was about 30 miles away. I'd still like to run some Seafoam through it though, just to see if that will open it up even more, but I'm going to need a pic of what vacuum line to use to suck the Seafoam up through, and if possible, a proper procedure to do so. Thanks for all your advice so far, if anyone has any more, keep them coming.
  23. Yes it is.
  24. $1.6 million, gone in a splash.
  25. mvusse, the muffler is brand new, and it still runs quiet. It was included in the purchase of the XJ. dasbulliwagen, thanks, I'll definitely look into that one as a viable option, as I'm quite sure it's the original one yet; the 'EMISS MAINT' light has always been on since I got it, so I know I need to disconnect the little box under the dash, at a minimum.
