That was my mom's second car, but a 61. Sorry to burst your bubble yet again, but the 'cuda didn't come out until 64, and in my opinion was ugly, as were the 65 and 66's.

how much should i get from the insurance co.?
beaterjeep replied to akamcbird's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Alright, so I did some more searching and found a real market value on Edmund's. The link is provided, but you will need to go through the actual options you have and check them off. I just took a guess at the others that I didn't know. That came up with a private party selling price of $667. Here's the link for ya, or anyone else that may be interested in looking up their vehicle. http://www.edmunds.com/products/tmv/use ... 6131404240 -

I'm looking now for more opinions on different sites. Just need to know the trim (X, XLS, custom) and if it's 2 or 4wd. I'm really trying for ya man. Also, if possible options, and mileage. -

My 86 was all rattle canned too. Now that I've successfully temporarily hijacked the thread, I'll get back to it. Nice looking MJ, and I can't wait to see it at the 'lands. Making a lot of progress so far. -
TRUE dual exhaust none the less. :brows: No X or H pipe on it, just two pipes, one from each side of the motor, running all the way back.
-
Yes, it does. I was searching through many different sites for them, and couldn't figure which one to trust with my credit card info.

Well, here's the link to where it says the info I got. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx? ... 4751&da=-1 -
Yes they do. And they live on quite nicely if I do say so myself. Not to mention I have the clear corners to really set it off too.

Yea, that's what I thought too. But, I know I did the search on NADA right, as it's the same as I have. It is a lil  if ya ask me. -

Driveshaft lenghts - 2wd and 4wd SWB MJ

SONUVA..... I knew I forgot to do something today. And I was even out finishing up on the 86 today too. I still have to go back to it and grab a few things on tuesday noonish, so if someone could please remind me then to take the measurements and look to see which tranny and tcase I have, it would be greatly appreciated. -
Well, finally after how long now, I have finished the painting of my 86 X. Sorry if I ended up copying any ideas, but I think it looks damn good now. That's how she sits now. Thanks again rockhardzj for the emblems, they really seem to set it off right. For those that don't know or remember what she looked like, here's a couple pics of her before.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'm going to look into and probably get a pair of catco's then.
-
I know there has been discussion in the past about walker mufflers, but can't seem to find anything about walker cats. What's everyone's opinion on them? I can get a pair of them for about $120 and was wondering if this was a good deal or not. These would be going on my 86 MJ X with the 2.8 with true duals and dual glasspacks. Or is there another company that makes good quality cats for relatively cheap that'll lower the tone of my exhaust, because as it sits, it's a ticket waiting to happen. TIA.

According to NADA, for low retail it is about $2,250. Average is about $5,243. High is about $7,020. So, my best guess would be about $2,000 or more. HTH. -

That I do, and have the 35 rear with the 3sp auto. I can still get a look and measurement in the morning if anyone would like. -

If I knew exactly which tcase I have, I could get a measurement in the morning. -
Crap. Oh, well, I was hoping it was the real deal. So that brings up a new question that I pretty much already know the answer to. Does anyone on here have a rollbar for me, or know where to get one? I have the holes for one, but don't have the bar to match.
-
That's my favorite model. Guess I should learn to read a lil better. Now the question is is it even for a manche, and will it fit right?
-
Yep, I was browsing ebay today and came across a black rollbar with 3 round lights on it. I sent the seller a message asking if they could put a buy it now price on it for me. Hopefully they do, because I want that thing BAD. So just a heads up on it if anyone else sees it on there, I WANT IT, and am willing to bid (if I have to) up until I either have no money left to buy it, or it gets ridiculously expensive. EDIT: Here's the link to it. Tell me your opinions on it. http://tinyurl.com/2y64yo

EXACTLY what I was intending on to begin with. Then after the initial seller was noted as being "A+" or whatever the buyer so chooses to indicate that they were a good seller, the seller themselves could post in that thread about the buyer. Such as if I were to buy an axle from JeepcoMJ and it went smoothly, I would create a thread "JeepcoMJ A+ Seller", and then he would in the same thread put "quick payment good businessman" or whatever he chose to put. Plus this will give everyone an idea on who has/can get what.

So I got carried away with the Sawzall....

Long story short: It'll be a trailer. Trailer? It's perfect as it is for a beach cruiser though. Just need a seat and your good to go. :brows: -

ah, its easy...simply remove the blankets and sheets, slide it through the door and down the hallway, then out the front door. now you've not only removed your bed, but you have used your resources wisely to gain more storage space WOW.... and I thought I was a smarta$$. -
Too bad that small bump looks to be like it was at the end of a ledge before a 20' dropoff.
