And she's home! Made it all the way around the block lol. Messed around with the holley dash a bit and set up what I want on it. Still gonna do a analog tach, oil pressure, temp, and bolts as it will be easier to see at speed. Dash is great but kinda small. Did an oil change on it today. I'll run this stuff for about 500 miles then do another. Got a small coolant leak at the overflow nipple and I wanna tuck some wires and mount the catch can. Then road time!

Scary lol. Definitely gotta get used to the power it puts down. Chirped the tires just letting the clutch out the first time I took it out. But it's smooth. I'm actually shocked how smooth the motor is. Exhaust is mellow until like 2 grand, then it opens up. I'm gonna try and get a better video once I change the oil and clean it up.

Always been my daily till I got the Comanche running for the summer, but that goes away for winter so Cherokee it is. Once I get the swap done on the Comanche and it's reliable I'll be taking this off the road for a bit for much needed rust repair. 5 years in Syracuse NY was not kind at all.

If you pick it up rear wheels on the dolly, steer wheels on the ground, definitely ratchet strap the steering wheel straight. When I tow RWD in the air and front on the ground I ratchet from the steering wheel to the seat bracket, and also use the seat belt as back up. Ive gone 60+ mph with big vans and trucks like that no issues. But I am using a purpose built tow truck so control is definitely better. Don't trust the steering lock (made that mistake ONCE)

I've always had awesome results with Milwaukee bits, but like minuit said they burn out more quickly than I'd like. Still I'll take that with how good they cut first

definetly recommend it. I'm so close its actually painful. I really want to start it up but I have no spot for the o2 sensor and don't want to run it without incase it goes super lean or rich. Trying to find an exhaust shop that will do stainless and mandrel is tougher than I thought. Plus everyone wants to see the truck to give me a quote, which I get but not even a ball park amount. I'm not wasting my AAA calls shuttling it from shop to shop...

Intake is made! Nothing special about it, summit silicon and aluminum tube and a K&N filter. Sits right where the fresh air intake is behind the headlight. Driveshaft is also in. Stock one weighs about 25 pounds and the new one weighs in at about 12. Super nice quality and fast shipping. Still waiting on the shifter then off to the exhaust shop

So most LS's have a MAF which also has the intake temp sensor in that whole assembly. Holley uses MAP, and in turn has a separate IAT sensor. No ports are in the intake and I wanted it separate from the air intake tube so I found this nifty little egr block off plate that is threaded for a GM IAT used on another LS (I think gto?). Driveshaft and shifter should be here tomorrow and the only thing left is exhaust! Gotta find a place now and see if I can borrow my tow truck from work...

Bosch makes a great cheap tach. Just 4 wires and a hose clamp to the steering column and done. I had a small one for a bit but went up to the bigger size. It perfectly covers the stock tach without getting in the way of anything else.
