  1. Power steering pump mounted. The original jeep lines bolted right up! I just had to slightly bend the return. Also got the headers wrapped. Not great, but not bad for my first I think. Got the fuel lines all done too.
  2. what did the new driveshaft run you, with shipping costs. That company has the best price for an aluminum driveshaft but can't find what they are charge for shipping
  3. Got the fuel pump swapped out. What a chore that was. The 2.5 pump is like an inch shorter so if I just mounted the new one I would have had to drill out the ground location on the sender. Didn't want to butcher it so I took the runner isolater and cut it so the bigger pump could fit. Also got the radiator mounted up. Used some universal pads for the bottom. I have to hole saw a spot for the filler neck in the upper support to fit. Driveshaft is like 2 inches to big so I'm gonna have to order a custom made one. Not entirely upset as I definitely want an aluminum one but was hoping that could wait. Oh well. Tons of small parts ordered for this weekend so I should get a lot done.
  4. Mines from Virginia and has definitely never seen salt. And I'm keeping it that way. NJ has the brine stuff that SUCKS. although this winter was super light. Put it away in November and was able to take it out end of February.
  5. I had them tight so I will definitely do that when I get a chance to mess with it
  6. Yeah mine are definitely not all the way in correctly. I'll have to mess with it so the lower bushing sits correctly in the slot
  7. Fun isn't exactly the word I would use...still not convinced they are totally sitting the right way.
  8. Got the transmission mount all bolted up, mounted the fuel filter/regulator. Fit great in the stock filter location. Got the track bar all set up. Works perfect and is parallel with the steering. Also cut the opening for the radiator, gotta get some c channel for a lower mount. The one pic shows where I hammered for fork clearance.
  9. 3 pound sledge made quick work of it. I'll try and get a pic of where I needed to clear
  10. Holy sh** was this tough. Don't want to have any buddies over cause of this damn virus. Had the engine in and out 4 times today. Had to clearance the firewall and trans tunnel in order to fit the Novak slave and Chevy clutch fork. But I got it in and it fits awesome. Plenty of clearance for the oil pan. Headers will be interesting that's for sure. I also got a straight drag link as I was worried about the bend against the oil pan. Also got a double shear bracket that lowered the mounting point so I should be plenty good. Tomorrow I'll be doing headers and a bunch of small stuff.
  11. Got the clutch all together and trans mounted. Everything looks good. Motor will be in this weekend for sure. Test fit just the motor today and I'm so glad I got the different pan. Stock one definitely wouldn't have fit. I'm also using S10 ls swap headers and they seem like they should work. Look like a direct copy from the novaks minus one tube, but so far they fit.
  12. Transmission is all together. Now I gotta get it and engine mounted and measure for the throwout bearing size
  13. Found some grey ones on eBay I bought, still looking for honey though.
  14. Put the order in for Novak headers and just got an email from them saying their supplier is in San Francisco which is currently under complete lockdown...so who knows when they will be able to ship. I'm far from getting this thing running but who knows how long this situation is gonna last.
  15. Cans. Automotivetouchup.com. Some Comanche colors are under AMC just fyi. They are kinda expensive but sell everything from pens to cans to quarts to gallons. And Everytime I've gotten paint from them it matches dead on.
  16. And it's out! Also got the engine bay cleaned up and painted. Next step get the motor mounts put it
  17. Looking for a good set of the door arm rests that aren't the hockey stick style. Just the little 2 mount version. Need them in honey but other colors would work too.
  18. I thought about that too. Unfortunately I scrapped the cut springs so I may pick up like 2 inch lift ones and cut those.
  19. It has begun! What better a time to start I figure, literally can't do anything else on my days off. Got pretty much the whole wire harness, accessories, radiator and some other stuff out. This weekend my plan it to pull the motor and trans all together and power wash and paint the bay.
  20. I work for AAA so as long as the roads aren't completely closed I imagine we'll be open. Not crazy about having people ride with me in the truck so it's pretty stressful. Days off I'm finally digging into my ls swap. Got most of the parts over the winter so now it's time. Hopefully car shows and stuff will be open when I'm done.
  21. Just found one for 50 bucks on eBay. Everywhere else wanted like 85+
  22. Oof 80 bucks for a yoke. And it is 27 spline I counted. It goes on so spline number is good but it's almost like it's too thick to fit all the way
