  1. Transmission is all together. Now I gotta get it and engine mounted and measure for the throwout bearing size
  2. Found some grey ones on eBay I bought, still looking for honey though.
  3. Put the order in for Novak headers and just got an email from them saying their supplier is in San Francisco which is currently under complete lockdown...so who knows when they will be able to ship. I'm far from getting this thing running but who knows how long this situation is gonna last.
  4. Cans. Automotivetouchup.com. Some Comanche colors are under AMC just fyi. They are kinda expensive but sell everything from pens to cans to quarts to gallons. And Everytime I've gotten paint from them it matches dead on.
  5. And it's out! Also got the engine bay cleaned up and painted. Next step get the motor mounts put it
  6. Looking for a good set of the door arm rests that aren't the hockey stick style. Just the little 2 mount version. Need them in honey but other colors would work too.
  7. I thought about that too. Unfortunately I scrapped the cut springs so I may pick up like 2 inch lift ones and cut those.
  8. It has begun! What better a time to start I figure, literally can't do anything else on my days off. Got pretty much the whole wire harness, accessories, radiator and some other stuff out. This weekend my plan it to pull the motor and trans all together and power wash and paint the bay.
  9. I work for AAA so as long as the roads aren't completely closed I imagine we'll be open. Not crazy about having people ride with me in the truck so it's pretty stressful. Days off I'm finally digging into my ls swap. Got most of the parts over the winter so now it's time. Hopefully car shows and stuff will be open when I'm done.
  10. Just found one for 50 bucks on eBay. Everywhere else wanted like 85+
  11. Oof 80 bucks for a yoke. And it is 27 spline I counted. It goes on so spline number is good but it's almost like it's too thick to fit all the way
  12. having trouble getting the yoke to slide on the output shaft of my trans. itll go on about 1.5 inches and then just stop. I have it greased. I gave it a tap with a rubber hammer, not hard, and it didnt really move. It also locked up the trans so I couldnt spin it. Tapped it back off and couldnt really see where it was contacting. Not sure if the 2wd or 4wd jokes are different.
  13. Little update. Been stock piling parts for the last couple months. Just got the transmission adapter and boy is it nice looking. Too bad it'll be stuffed away where it can't be seen. Finally have everything I need where I could put the drivetrain in the jeep. I'm gonna wait though until I have all the clutch components. I have to be able to see to make sure everything lines up and is within tolerances and that's way easier to do with everything on the ground. Plus I wanna put it all in in one swoop. Just a little bit more until I can start the swap!
  14. Yup. It only really works on the bigger sights like summit, AutoZone, I think quadratec. But it's free and so easy to use so it definitely doesn't hurt.
  15. Always google for coupon codes before you order. I've found so many like that. Rockauto ALWAYS has a 5% off, just gotta find one that works. You can also download honey as an extension on chrome. Once in the cart it'll automatically search for coupon codes and apply the best one.
  16. I love monstaliner. Goes on super easy and looks really good. The texture is from the rollers you buy so it won't crumble over time like ones that use pieces of something to get texture. Stuff is super tough and it hides imperfections which was a plus for me. Like the other guy said, it's 90% prep. I did grey accents on mine. Roof, hood, and bumper. They recently came out with a maroon color so I might redo it all in one color.
  17. Yeah the guys by me gave it a weird look and said ' I don't know if we can do this. Well have to check it out'. Hour later they said it was good to go
  18. I have the two piece style driveshaft as well. Place by me was able to cut it down and balance no issues. Charged 150
  19. How does one go about ordering these? And are there prices and pictures? Tried running the numbers on Google and got nothing
  20. Looking for a set of the darker tan colored interior door panels, manual windows.
  21. Been a while but still looking for an answer from anyone if the new xj sun visors fit the Comanche. Thanks.
  22. Hell yeah! I think it would be blasphemy for a 1911 in anything else.
