  1. Slave went out again last week. Called Novak up and chatted with them as this would be it's 3rd rebuild. They sent me a whole new slave thinking the casting was off on the original one. Got that put in today and seems great. Also swapped back to the rear zj springs and got new bilstien shocks. What a difference in ride quality. Also put new poly bump stops in. Definitely way better ride this way. Now to just get some bilstien for the rear.
  2. Listen, I cried once and every time I get in the truck I am so happy I got it haha
  3. Nothing major that really stood out. My build thread is in the hardcore section if you wanna check it out. I will say going with the holley standalone system was the best decision ever. Ah that's right! That Novak radiator looked beast, just a tad expensive for me lol
  4. 22x19 radiator works good. Need to trim the front cross bar a bit but mine fit great after a small amount of work and it cools it great. I got a summit brand 3 inch core
  5. Been 95+ here in NJ for pretty much the past 2 weeks. Truck is doing great. Coolant temp never gets above 205. Air intake temps are a different story. Does perfectly fine when moving but if I get stuck in traffic they climb very fast. 140+ is a no go. So I made a shield for the filter and wrapped the pipe. We'll see how it works. I really wish I went with A/C...
  6. This is my other hobby when jeeping isn't taking all my money... 55 gallon. Just got it all set up and stocked. Just waiting for the plants to grow in.
  7. Swapped out my wj arms for some Rubicon express arms. A little too much flex in the rubber bushings so these now have a poly like material. Much stiffer and greaseable. About the only arms that are straight and not bent for lifting.
  8. I think so. 300 bucks for custom made and fits perfectly. Also super nice quality
  9. They are super quick for being custom made. I called them Friday, shipped Tuesday, got it today. None are in stock so they make it on demand.
  10. It's fits so good. Time to bust out the cassettes
  11. Dropped the front end down maybe an inch? I cut half a coil out of the springs. Definitely way better. Now I just gotta trim the bump stops...
  12. Oh yeah, now it's a party!
  13. Nahh the patina on this thing is just way too good.
  14. So much better. Breaks the back end up nicely of all the red
  15. Also attempted to restore my tail lights. Went with the black trim style to try and break it up from the red body and also hide some cracks... Came out okay the stuff I used on the tail lights left some orange peel and runs but from 5 feet away they look great!
  16. Needed a pick-me-up after the clutch fiasco..
  17. Oof that's no fun. Thing is I knew better. I know there parts are crap but I was impatient and wanted to fix it. Shipping has just been so slow with everything but my new master will be here Tuesday with prime so I guess it's starting to get back to normal.
  18. got a new stock slave in and it definitely fixed my problem, but autozone quality strikes again. new master lasted ONE day. started leaking and I only found out because my turn signals stopped working and when i checked the fuse it was melted and wet with brake fluid... stuffed some papers towels under the master and hosed down the fuse block with electrical contact cleaner. the block itself seems okay. new fuse fixed the turn signals so I think I caught it in time. New LUK master is on order.
  19. Like 1997 to 01 style? I was looking at that possibly but the mounting threw me off. Got any pics of it set up? And yes finally! Can't wait to see and hear it
  20. I found a wilwood master that is 3/4. I just replaced the stock comanche one today and it's better but you can ever so slightly feel it grabbing still. Might do the cj7 7/8 master because I can get it tomorrow. Wilwood id have to wait. What are you running in yours?
  21. Well I have ran into my first couple problems. 3 weeks with no issues was too long without a problem I guess the jeep decided. Clutch started dragging. Felt like bad syncros but in every gear almost instantly. Found the slave leaking so I rebuilt it (Novak slave). All was good for about 4 days and yesterday the clutch started to not fully disengage again. Slave wasn't leaking this time. It was after a pretty long day of driving in 90+ so I considered i boiled the clutch fluid. It was murky and frothy so I drained and refilled with dot 5.1. Higher boil point. Better, but Still not fully disengaging. Adjusted the push rod on the slave and still issues. I'm gonna try a new master cylinder but the stock one is only a .688 bore and slave is .75 so I'm thinking its not moving enough fluid? 1997 to 2001 xj master is .71 but mounting is not the same. Cj7 master is .81 which is larger than the slave but Novaks site say it should work. Maybe I'm not moving enough fluid or master is going out? Weird how it was fine for a while and now giving me trouble.
  22. And we have light. Thanks for the help I would have had half the jeep torn apart trying to get power
