  1. I do something similar to the post above but with a 1/4” ratchet wrench and Phillips bit.
  2. My 35 has 310k on it with no issues. I just changed the fluid 20k ago and it looked brand new in there. You know what they say...the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Not too many will get online to brag about their D35 but they sure will complain if theirs has broken. I fully intend to build mine soon with a super 35 kit, 4.10 gears, and an air locker. I won’t ever go bigger than 31s though or abuse it.
  3. Did you use fuel line rated for EFI? Most auto parts will sell you fuel line that cannot withstand the pressures of EFI as it is designed for carbureted vehicles.
  4. DesertRat1991, a member on here bought them from me.
  5. Those were mine and they are sold.
  6. Thank you sir. Can I ask what they did to you? I’ve ordered several air bag kits from them for myself and coworkers and have never had a problem.
  7. Did you have to extend the links or is the pic you posted installed as it came? I’ve got the same amount of lift.
  8. How much lift do you have?
  9. I have searched the net long and hard for some feedback on this kit and can’t find any. I might just be a guinea pig one day and go for it.
  10. No sir not yet. I’m going to run this one till it drops. It runs amazing and only uses 1/2 qt in 5k miles. Great oil pressure too. I’m going to try to get 500k+ out of it. Idk what I’ll do when it gives up. Probably just a new 4.0. I haven’t heard great things about the longevity of a stroker and at 60k+ per year I put on mine, I certainly need the longevity.
  11. I'm happy to report that I got my swap completed. The 1994 cluster that I got off ebay had the adapter for the 120mph speedo and it fit right in and works perfectly! I did spin the odometer that came in the 1994 cluster to see if it was possible to adjust it. The numbers spun freely although slowly. I sent the 120mph odometer off to get calibrated to my mileage but because of the additional week delay in ordering the 1994 cluster, my mileage is short about 2000 on the 120mph speedo. I was too scared to spin the numbers by hand on an odometer that I knew would be next to impossible to replace. Can anyone confirm that spinning the numbers manually will not damage the odometer?
  12. Check out usbody.com. They have a decent looking fiberglass one that has steel inserts for your hinges and latches. I think that’s about the only option left out there other than a cheap race hood that pins on. I’m in the same boat as you looking for one and I’m willing to shed out a ridiculous amount of money for a reflexxion!
  13. One more question. The cluster I have picked out online seems to have far fewer light bulbs in the info center area. Possibly from a 2wd low option Cherokee. Should I feel confident that the foil is the same and will light up all lights that do on my current cluster as long as I have the bulbs in place in the correct spots?
  14. Thank you so much! I can tell from the pics online that the newer cluster is missing the 3 copper colored bigger screws into the back because they are on the adapter and the whole assembly is held in by the 3 small chrome screws. On mine, all 6 screws hold the speedometer to the gauge cluster. Gonna order it now!
  15. So from what I gather from reading this thread over and over again from the beginning, the white “interface adapter” comes from the 85mph speedometer and not the 120mph one correct? I’ve found a cluster on eBay from a 1994 and am about to pull the trigger. I just want to make sure my 120mph isn’t what’s not compatible.
  16. So do you think a cluster from a 92-96 would work in my 91? I really don’t want to give up yet because I already sent the 120mph speedo to get programmed to my mileage!
  17. Well guys unfortunately this does not work on a 1991 I guess. The little adapter in the above pics does not exist on my speedometer or the 120mph speedometer that I got from a member on here. The circuit boards are completely different and in no way interchangeable.
  18. I’m happy to report that I just scored the bracket, actuator, cable, and vacuum lie off a xj at the junk yard for $10! Just gotta find a stalk and my Comanche will have cruise control too!
  19. I wonder if this skid plate would work with a front receiver hitch? This is the only one I’m missing to have a complete set of factory skids.
  20. You’re a gentleman and a scholar sir. Thank you. That’s the only creature comfort I’m still needing in my Comanche.
  21. I’m going to have to add this to my to do list. from what I gather, purchase a stalk, install and plug it in, get the actuator and plumb it into vacuum system, bracket and cable need to be sourced used? Is this a complete parts list or did I miss anything?
  22. Yep. Has to be a tank without the pan in the bottom for the sending unit to fit correctly as the pickup is pointed toward the front vs toward the rear on a Comanche sending unit. JP5B on autozone.com.
  23. I just ordered a fuel tank without the pan in it from autozone along with an xj sending unit from my year. Fit in the tank perfectly and I’ve put 16.5 gallons in it. It is a little shorter than the mj sending unit but 16.5 gallons out of 18.5 is close enough to empty for me. Gas gauge works perfect too! $150 shipped to my door.
  24. Sorry to revive an ancient thread guys but I haven’t found an answer to my question. Can the front inner fenders be retained with napier flares?
  25. Finally got around to installing my NOS front and rear mud flaps and vent visors.
