  1. http://www.badgersteamandgas.com/ Posted this up last year, posting again this year. The whole show is a blast, Saturday is the best day to come as there is ALOT of stuff going on. They have a great swap meet and there are lots of demonstrations. The wife, pooch and I will be there all weekend, we are camping on site on Friday and Saturday nights.
  2. Didn't see this until now. Gone up to her grandparent's cottage on Lake Michigan with family this weekend. Have fun!
  3. Make, year and name of the paint? I sprayed 2003 Chrysler Electric Blue Pearlcoat and it looks VERY close!
  4. How much are you looking to spend? Where are you located?
  5. IIRC the only option (5 years ago) for an SYE on the 242 was a Hack'n'Tap, where you grind off the stock shaft and tap the center of the shaft to install the supplied yoke :ack: I never dug deeper into it though because I have the 231...
  6. I recommend the Advance Adapters Kit - I am VERY happy with the quality of the product and the miles on and off road that it has given me... $199 is a good deal - I paid somewhere around $250 5 years ago for mine... http://www.advanceadapters.com/products ... -yoke-kit/
  7. @ 0:15 Announcer: "Don't worry lady, the Jeeps OK!" Caption on Screen: "These Actions Could Void Warranty" :clapping:
  8. I doubt you get the lift to work out with a regular driveshaft in the rear. I think its going to be time to start looking into a Slip Yoke Eliminator kit and a new CV style driveshaft...
  9. Do you have any pictures of the bed?

    finally got mine!

Yep - 17' Grumman here too. Take it out every chance we get!
  12. We'll see... XJ needs more work to be drivable, it'll have to prove itself worthy of one. I've been working on this XJ in my spare time since last fall (complete motor/trans/tcase swap), got it running and driving around the yard about a month ago. It's coming along nicely, body is in very good shape for its age...
  13. Update: I'm getting the truck prepped for a somewhat circle trip of Lake Michigan over the next week. We are planning to ride the car ferry July 3rd between Manitowac, WI and Ludington, MI. We'll spend a few days in Reed City, MI, at my Parent's house and then head north to Naubinway, MI to spend time at her Grandparent's place. We'll be rolling back down through Wisconsin to be home on Sunday. We are taking the truck because I plan to bring a few things back with us, my spare 2wd front end and a few last remaining parts from Reed City and a wood stove from Naubinway. Truck will get used for sure, I can see this thing getting loaded down for the trip back! Here are some photos of the bodywork done so far, mainly looking to get it presentable for the trip. I'm not looking forward to working on the box on this, it seems to have some major issues and lots of fiberglass in it. I think I will need to revisit the cab corners someday too, they are what they are for now. Painted the whole B Pillar and Rocker Panel, this is the paint I plan to finish the truck with someday - Valspar Gloss White Tractor Enamel - Good enough for now, it lays on pretty good and has a nice shine to it. Also repaired the door striker, PO had welded the sheet steel around it and never finished it off with paint. This thing used to be a HUGE eyesore, now its presentable. Painted the front end parts, header panel now matches the rest of the truck. Fenders got sprayed, but they will both get pulled for some good ones I am doing bodywork on now. Driver's fender is aftermarket, and it fits like its and aftermarket piece! :fs2: Fleet Shots:
  14. Yes, please keep me in the loop! No Problem, thanks for looking for one for me!
  15. Thanks, if I get a good line on one I will let you know as well!
  16. Looking for a good one, I broke the plastic clip on the one I have. I can still use it, but the needle bounces at low speeds with the tip broken. I cannot use a 4wd one, I tried with one I had on the shelf, too much extra cable. I measured it to be around 68" long - Chrysler p/n 53009003 I'll probably call the dealership on Monday and see what one runs there. I can pay through paypal, cash or check. Thanks - Brent
  17. Nope - You have another one in the garage that you can do whatever you feel like with. This one should stay original.
  18. Where did you get a fiberglass tonneau cover at? Did it come with the truck? VERY nice Eliminator!
  19. Where are you at?
  20. Booooo!!!!

  22. Never will be 4wd, still driving once a week. Very RELIABLE. Probably do some bodywork on it this weekend actually.
  23. 2 days left, this thing could still be anyone's in the end. Part of me hates ebay for this, I imagine it will be one of those last second 30 people bid type deals. I only hope the new owner finds the site, I really would like to see many more pictures of it.
