I also removed the whole dash assembly, wiring and all. Sketchiest part of that was removing the defrost vent panel without breaking it. Which I succeeded at. It just feels like very dry and brittle plastic.

You just love to see it... At least it's not rotted. Just rusty.

Last night I made more teardown progress! Arguably got the hardest part out of the way. Front and rear glass removed. I was able to save the rear window gasket too! The windshield though.. did not save. The slider I probably won't use again. The seals are failing and ir was leaking into the cab from the bottom corners. I have a cl lawerence 3 pane slider I'm thinking about using instead

Yeah they really are getting scares. Online shopping, and the pandemic really did a lot of those small shops in. If there's any little electical dufangles or duvisators that you need just let me know. I can always run over and pick it up from the guy and send it your way. Providing he has what you need.

If it is possible I don't have access to anything right now. If any of them have the factory coating on them I try to leave them alone. But otherwise I don't think moisture or vibrations are really an issue with them. They are pretty solid in place in the case and moisture damage has not really been an issue with them from the ones I've split apart.

There's actually a little electronics store an old gent runs a few towns over who carries EVERY different kind of resistor and capacitor I could ask for and more. I was just there today to get a few that I needed. I like supporting the small businesses when I can.

I'm not that guy but I am doing the same thing. I would like to make a little market for it. I've got a few more to finish up and I'll be testing all at once. Just need a few more capacitors

It's possible but I've not looked into who else used them or originated design. Corrosion and solder breaks don't seem to be an issue for these believe it or not. 90% of the ones I've opened up had good solder and were dry. Or very light corrosion at the connectors but not the board. The board uses a lot of capacitors and resistors. And I know capacitors can dry out or expand from constant voltage.

But they can be fixed! They used the capacitors in line with circuits on the board, if one goes bad then it can cause things to malfunction or not function at all. It's how I fixed my old yj ecu. The capacitors went bad and it wouldn't even show the 'check engine light' anymore

I didn't know cjs used wiper modules too.

After this post came up I put my nose back to the grindstone and started fixing the other ones I had. One of them was either in a fire or soaking in water for years as the board literally disintegrated when attempting to remove it from the case. After I get the rest finished up I'm going to see who's local and willing to help me test them. On a side note @Pete M what are you doing with those faulty modules? Lol

You are correct. It is still quite solid. Nothing that would question viability of this project at least. It's rough where the rear bumper brackets would bolt too. Oh well, rust belt woes haha

Today, I pulled the gas tank, exhaust, brake and bed off the truck. That was a trial to do for one person. But I did it! Seeing under the bed though.. was not very pleasing.. I went around and wire brushed and cleaned off what I could. Found some soft spots on top. Nothing that can't be fixed but not something I wanted to fix. Almost ready for the sandblasters though!

I'm tearing into her to get her ready for sandblasting. Ripping everything out and feeling like I'm making incredible progress in a short time. I ripped out the bench seat, old rubber floor mat, like the rest of them, soggy and wet and smelled bad, and all the surrounding trim behind and around the seat. Passenger B pillar trim was stuck in place by extra window urethane shmood in by the factory. The trim also had 85 molded production marks on it too. When I pulled the interior i was keeping my eyes out for the build sheet and well.. I found it.. or the imprint of it. On my floor. The factory had taped it to the underside of the rubber mat.. Some of it is almost legible. All that's left of the sheet... 'eep' The floors though.. not great.. not terrible..

Update on Candace! We had two really nice spring days so I took FULL advantage of the tike after work to dig into her. Before photos though, I do have to say.. I am thoroughly impressed with the rustoleum rust converter primer. I unfortunately had to leave the axle out in the weather over the winter and to my amazement it didn't start rusting again. It's really good stuff!

Does the wagoneer have a header panel? Likely not but shot in the dark

You'd be correct on the capacitors in the module. I've got a bunch I've been slowly working on refurbing. Just don't have a way to test them since my truck is torn apart haha

I would try cleaning up the floors some more. It looks saveable. Like there was only one patch done towards the rear. Maybe remove the braces and clean everything up underneath and such. Get a better assessment of the floors
