Yeah that! Too many numbers to try and remember. Although I swear I remember my teansfercase is a 209
-
The transfercase should be a 209 unless it has the electronic transfer case switch on the center console. I don't remember which tcase that is.. And the front axle is a dana 30 with the center axle disconnect.

I don't know if I will be able to attend. My comanche is not ready and I don't know if I'll have the other one by then.

That grill can be wall art!

There isn't a lot of photos it seems. The 2.5/2.8 core support sits back towards the firewall with the help of some air dams/brackets to support the radiator. I think, but I could be wrong, that it requires welding. Someone else can chime in. I have an 86 2.8 myself but I'm not doing any conversion. The wiring harness will require splicing for the fuel pump, tail lights, pretty much everything in the back. It's not the same as the comanche. The engine harness will drop right in. Same for the cab harness but modifying will be necessary. A driveshaft change will also be necessary and, some people seem to have issues with the trans crossmemeber lining up so that may need modifying as well. Optionally you could do a 904 or a 200r4 auto trans to a 3.4 v6. Not deterring you from what you want to do just throwing potentially easy ideas out there for swaps
-
It's got all the fuel injection, and if you felt adventurous you could supercharge it like I am on a 2.8 I picked up
-
Potentially the firewall will need massaging and the radiator core support will need changing too. Along with wiring harness modification. A little more work than it actually seems. A 3.4 from a camaro will drop right in if you are looking for an easy swap

Seat was minty too. One tear. That was it. I also have the tailgate from it. Though.. its hardly even wall art its soo rough haha

Last I checked, which was a few weeks ago it was still there. They usually hang onto things that are older or are generating money. I think the pressure bottle got nabbed. And I had pulled the coil module duvis out and hid it and someone found and grabbed it. Darn lol I grabbed the tps off the throttle body and that was about it.
-
Was the comanche still at hollands? They had an 89 that was.. very.. very.. chewy.
-
Hey that's jacks! I go there from time to time. That's where the spirits are resting. A lot of the older stuff is around the edge of the yard to the right of the entrance.

Don't forget about the turbo diesel eagle! Only 5 made

I can imagine there are a few people who'd like to have that wheel just for collections sake haha Did you notice any leaks of any kind that could have caused the white smoke while the intake was off?
-
The black spoke steering wheel is a very rare option that was recently discovered here on the forums on a brochure. We have only seen it once, on an early xj someone pulled the wheel off of. And the 3.4 v6 out of a camaro will swap direct into the truck if you need to swap engines easy and quick with very light mods
-
Yeah, my guess would be early 90s. Sad thing is it's rust free. It was a good car when it got put there. And then it wasn't. Lol
-
Okay, someone will definitely grab it. I know it's not my truck but I'd try to keep it in the truck and as original as possible. But that's just me. It's too rare to change in my opinion. Regardless, best of luck in your project

I had to look it up, it was also a spirit. I think a 78? Or 77 had square tail lights instead. Was bright orange and squished by two other cars.
-
Not a Harnett. It was the same body style to the gremlin. Different tail lights though
-
A spirit hidden in the trees of a local yard. And not far from it another amc under two cars. Was the brother to the gremlin. Just can't remember what it was called lol There were plenty of other old cars around it too.
-
My local yard gets all sorts of old cars and they just throw them in the yard. Sad that people would rather throw an old project away than pass it on. It frustrates me haha
-
I thought it was because there weren't many produced to begin with? What will you do with the original engine?
-
What morgo said. Sounds like it tried to pop off with ether but it won't actually run on just that alone. I would see if the injection pump is pumping. Maybe crack the lines at the injectors until you see fuel. Check and see if the injectors are pulsing.

Yup, he still has it, it is renix Era. I'm trying to get photos for you. He was asking $80 for it but he only wants cash so I can pick it up and ship it for you if you'd like.
