They are finally on the market! Ordered both sides monday and got here today(thursday) Great fit! $90 a side. So i spent about $210 with tax and shipping for both. excited to get these fabbed in! Only thing I noticed is the back side of the cab has a stamped section and the cab corners do not have that stamped section. I'm going to cut around the stamped area and preserve it

Still looking for this section

I'm on my way down to Florida to visit family for a week vacation and on my way down I found a yard in south carolina that had a waggy xj so I detoured a half hour out of my way to go pick it up. About $150 out the door. It's a little rough but workable. Sad someone got the side markers though! But I got everything else! A loooot of good parts on the jeep. It's located at auto salvage Co in south carolina if anyone wants to grab anything. It's not really a you pick it yard. They will bring you to the yard and you tell them what you want and they pull it in front of you.

I can imagine it should be inch lbs. You will destroy something at ft lbs -
From cab to a few inches beyond the shock mount

And they are neat! But a rare factory one is even better. Maybe not for the ungodly price someone has put down though.. It only started at 100$ -

Got the hole drilled and taped for the axle. Got it stripped apart a little more. A happy surprise inside and a not so happy surprise inside. The happy surprise! Clutch packs! And a 3.54 gear ratio. Which would in theory make it bolt in ready for my truck but.. Spider gears got a little chewed up in its years of use. And it looks like there was a roll pin holding the spider gear dowel in place and the rollpin sheered. And God only knows the condition of those clutch packs. So not actually bolt in ready.- 136 replies
