Check the socket ground in the socket. They love to rust away into nothing cause they are a cheap metal. For some bizarre but probably money saving reason, AMC went from the good metal sockets of 84-86 to Ford sockets for 87-90. 91-96 changed back to the old style sockets. It’s best to replace both those front sockets now and never have to do worry about them not functioning again.

Lol gonna trump ya 88mjsally Nice size box. 80% of this was XJ body moldings. And brushed bezel guys, the part number I ordered for the fillers, are woodgrain. I have no idea on how to even acquire that filler.

Are you looking for the belts or the buckles? Someone found a company who rebuilds the old assemblies and the buckles are rebuildable with buckles of the same era in fords and GMs. And even the back seat of the XJ.

Junkyards if you want genuine OEM. They aren’t bad if you know one that sells stuff cheap and can get it rebuilt locally. That’s actually what I did. There might be one or two more left at the junkyard where I got mine. I’ll have to go down there and look.

ZJ box isn’t a bad choice. Cruiser might be right as I swear the ZJ box was better for street driving but i don't know now lol. I run the ZJ box and I like it. Much much better than before. I wonder if my steering shaft has some slop in it now.

It means they won’t let you ship something as is. Has to be in a box. I tried to ship my brush guard. They wanted to throw it in some sort of box and tell me it’s gonna be $150 to ship 30lbs of metal.
