  1. Just tap to 1/4” NPT and use a brass fitting.
  2. Yes! Will DM you.
  3. Looking for a Renix era Borla header. It’s no longer made, but was smog legal. PaceSetter and some other brands also made similar ones. No longer manufactured. Willing to pay fair amount for it.
  4. Wow. That thing definitely wasn’t in as clean condition previously. Likely was used as a plow truck on a small lot somewhere which equates to the low miles. The underbody was also a bit concerning with the oil and spots of rust.
  5. Glad to hear that! Share some pics once you have them installed.
  6. Yeah, these are certainly not a great location as the seats end up dampening the sound quality a bit. I'm still intrigued to see how they turn out. There's been an overwhelming interest on Facebook groups too.
  7. Definitely an option for some folks. I am running wider seats (2018 KL Cherokee Limited) which limits the amount of space for thicker grills. I should have the second revision of the prototype in my hands in the next few days and will see how things line up. Fingers crossed.
  8. Mounting depth is about 2", which will fit most slim-mount speakers and will be tight with regular speakers. This also moves the bracket about 1/4" away from the grill which should help when mounting component speakers with integrated tweeter. My thought is to suggest that people use a hole saw on the backside of the b pillar to fit any speakers with a deeper cone. I'm going to test this on my truck once I get the second set of prototypes completed in the next few days.
  9. Glad to hear that! I should have them on sale soon.
  10. I received the first set of prototypes over the weekend and was able to test fit them. I was hoping to be able to use the same design on both sides, but it will likely be unique and slightly offset to fit around the b-pillar cover mounting points. I've introduced a few refinements and have submitted the second prototype for machining. Once I receive these and test fit them, I'll be opening up pre-orders on my website.
  11. He works at Barnes 4WD. He's got a Youtube channel and IG account that are pretty popular. https://www.youtube.com/@cb.offroad
  12. Agreed. Even as someone with Wrangler wheels themselves , when you have something that pristine it makes sense to keep it as original as possible.
  13. I dug through the pictures and it's not as clean as I would have hoped for such a low mileage truck. The repaint isn't terrible, but there's a handful of areas of overspray and I'm not sure if the emblems were removed for paint. On top of that, the undercarriage is caked with undercoating, fluid film, and some odd rust areas (spare wheel, front axle, oil pan). Really surprised it's only 29k miles. That's an average of 1k miles per year since new. Seems a bit suspect, but the Carfax checks out. It also has no catalytic converter. Nonetheless, I'm interested to see what it sells for.
  14. I can't imagine what this would sell for if it was fully original without the suspension modifications. Will still be very high. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-jeep-comanche-6/
  15. I've got a set of rears in decent condition. LMK.
  16. I replicated the "Four Wheeler Of The Year" static cling from years ago and had a batch printed on clear vinyl. It measures 12" x 3" and has a clear background with white letters and black outline. High quality vinyl decal with permanent adhesive. $20 shipped (I wish these could be cheaper, but shipping is a bit expensive due to size). https://boxyjeep.com/products/comanche-four-wheeler-of-the-year-rear-window-decal I also design and reproduce other replica decals (take a look at the link above).
  17. Just the handle. Even the most crusty mechanisms can be easily fixed in most cases.
  18. Just got the second revision fitted up and tested. I'm going to make a few minor revisions before putting these up for sale. Very promising so far...
  19. I grew up in the northeast, so I know the pain... My first XJ was rotting at every pore.
  20. Got it. I've been a bit spoiled with my California truck.
  21. What are "frame caps"?
  22. Yes, that’s integrated in the second version of the prototype that is being built right now. Should have some updates early next week.
  23. Should have the second prototype later this week. Updates to come.
