  1. This is a blue SWB with a blue bench seat. It’s 4wd with a column shift auto. It’s a pretty basic truck otherwise but has some good parts on it. It was hard to get pics of since it was in the trees
  2. This truck is sitting in a junkyard that I went to a few weeks ago. I’m guessing on the year. It’s a LWB with a grey interior. I got the grey bucket seats and brackets from it among other things. It was hit on the side and has pretty low miles
  3. I have a few sets, I’ll pull them out tonight and check the condition of them
  4. They are pretty nice. The drivers has some wear on the side but the passengers and back seat look like they have barely ever been sat on. The Jeep only has 139k miles on it
  5. Here’s all the pics I have of it right now. Fog lights sold and I have a few people wanting other stuff like the drivetrain and the side trim
  6. @SatiricalHen has half a comanche he’s parting out. I’m not sure what body panels are left on it but I know it’s rust free
  7. I actually bought this Jeep about a month ago to part out, I just haven’t had time yet. I didn’t pay as much as his asking price though
  8. Yea I really don’t think it was worth getting knowing what he’d likely charge but I can try and get some better pics next time I’m over there and a price for you so you can decide
  9. The seals are shot and it’s very warped from sitting off the bed like that. I can call the guy and ask what he wants but I’m sure it’s a lot since he was pretty pricy on larger items
  10. Yes they came from the red lwb mj
  11. Went and checked out a new yard today with 3 comanches and quite a few xjs including a briarwood. I got seat brackets for my truck and a few other things but I’m sure I’ll end up going back sometime soon to get more. I’m going when it’s colder out though next time because it was way to hot today
  12. I sent him a list of mj specific stuff to pull and he said everything on the list was gone. The bucket brackets were still there but they were very rusty and he couldn’t get the bolts out. It’s not worth a 4 hour round trip when there’s closer non stripped comanches😂🤫
  13. 1986 Jeep comanche at lkq Charlotte. I sent a friend to look at it for me and he said that it was pretty much stripped already.
  14. Yes I’m still making them. I have one more almost finished and am waiting on more parts still. Hopefully I’ll be able to get them next week and get another big batch made
  15. I think I got the vin correct but the tag was hard to read and I forgot to look for the other vin tags. I think it is an 1988 but it could be an 87. A guy cut the roof off and hacked up the body while trying to turn a 4x4 xj into a comanche. It was originally a 4.0 2wd column shift with a blue interior and blue exterior that has been painted black. It’s a pretty basic truck with idiot lights and a bench seat. Still has some good parts left and I’m sure I’ll be back to grab more off of it.
  16. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184355969863 I know the chrome handles are uncommon but I didn’t think they were $350 uncommon
  17. I found an intact factory slider a few days ago in the junkyard. I plan to go back in the next week and pull that along with some other parts
  18. It had a 4.0 in it and it looked pretty original. I may have typed the vin in wrong
  19. I can look next time I go back but I’m pretty sure they are all either gone or falling apart. No ten spoke turbines that I saw
  20. Nope it’s in SC
  21. It’s in SC. I’ve grabbed a few things from the Comanche and the xjs but I’m planning to go back soon to grab more
  22. Sorry about the pictures being crooked😂 I couldn’t figure out how to get them straight
  23. I found a cool new yard the other day that had a row of about 20 xjs which is the most ive seen in one spot in quite a while. Most were ho ones but there were a few Renix and pre Renix ones mixed in. They also had a hacked up comanche and a cool full size Wagoneer. Lots of older stuff as well and the owner said he had been in that spot since the 80s

    Winches

Most of the older ones have the serial number stamped onto the housing near the clutch lever. I have a steel cable on mine and it’s served me well but I plan to swap over to synthetic in the future. The older warns use a 3 or 5 pin controller. You can look into the plus on your solenoid box and see how many pins it has and that will tell you which one you need. You have solenoids verses the newer contactor so you don’t need the newest 4 pin remote

    Winches

It looks like the x8000 or the m8000. Ive rebuilt a couple of older warns and they are pretty easy to work on. They also hold up on the trails pretty well. I have an older x8000i on my tj that I rebuilt and have used a pretty decent amount over the past few years. So if it were me I’d fix that warm before buying a new one
