  2. Ok normally i fire the ol'2.5er up let it run through the High idle cycle then drive worked great all last winter and throught till about a week ago . . . It now has some hesitation while acceleration like a half miss type sensation, Once heated up hot goes away runs great but idles a bit rough and has progressively gotten rougher . . . Sensor's have all been replaced, Vacuum leaks have been fixed, and i even fixed that exhaust leak so i'm guessing its timing chain ? or tune up time ? . . . :???: Mike
  3. :D I ain't gotta worry about the new jeeps Cryco started rolling as they discontinued the AMC Models, Note the Wrangler is the only one of AMC's models of Jeep still around . . . But that's ok i won't be having another Vehicle note  I been driving 1950-70's Vehicles for years n years i updated once apon a time and it bit in the tail feathers won't happen again no more new/New used only the old n obsolete for me  Mike
  4. Ya but the 2.5er is going to be replaced with my AMC-V8  hopefully that don't make it more challenging :ack: Tho i don't see it being used in cold weather after the swap, But i may just change it out one last if i have to relocate some thing in the way  Mike
  5. Yep she's brand new . . . the blower motor seemed to be a simple easy straight forward swap out take 3-5min right ? . . . no so fast :fs1: . . . First the removal easy, second removing the fan blade from motor :rotf: ya screw that after you ruin it get the replacement its metal 8) . . . Oh and it's 1/4-3/8" longer then the OEM plastic one easy fix, take your big flat head screw driver and a hammer and knock out the Metal ring on the inside of the blower housing reinstall blower have fantastic heat on all speed & option settings  Oh and the bolts holding the blower take 5/16" shallow socket ;) Not so frozen in Wisconsin  Mike
  6. I called around started getting discouraged as nobody stocked one :fs1: Autozone 2 towns away had one in stock but it was only the life time warranty one the guy said so it would be spendy :( $26.99  was the Lifer time spendy one they also had a $15.99 unit that was out of stock with a 1yr . . . anywho, Its freezing anyone know what size wrench fits the bolt to remove the blower motor ? 1988 Comanche 2.5 2WD Mike
  7. Really now  . . .I guess i should quit loading it like a 3/4ton :hmm: . . . Mike
  8. 2012 Jeep truck: http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/09/so ... -2012.html Dated 9/16/10 there was also another place that was dated 10/2?/10 but i couldn't find it . . . My guess is it'll be the JT concept :dunno: :hmm: Mike
  9. I was typing that while you beat me to it :( I think they should have updated the MJ off the Grand Cherokee  G-C rolled out in 93' had a G-MJ rolled out say 95' in an extened cab with I-6 and V-8 power plants  Apparently Jeep Green lighted a wrangler base Pickup truck finally :fs2: starts production late 2011  Mike
  10. CryCo  AMC You can definitely see the transfer of ownership of Jeep from AMC to CryCo., AMC MJ stayed in the double digits tho it did float up n down a bit . . . The XJ spiked and then slowly faded off as well . . . prolly due to styling the MJ & XJ were starting to look outdated by the early 90's . . . Mike
  11. Well i guess the MJ will be a collectible long before the XJ will if it ever dose . . . Mike
  12. 86' - 92' MJ & XJ production numbers . . . XJ; 1986 - 107,225 AMC 1987 - 139,295 AMC 1988 - 187,136 AMC 1989 - 207,216 AMC/Chrysler 1990 - 151,230 Chrysler 1991 - 151,578 Chrysler 1992 - 137,826 Chrysler MJ; 1986 23,251 AMC 1987 12,884 AMC 1988 16,062 AMC 1989 10,375 AMC/Chrysler 1990 5,412 Chrysler 1991 5,188 Chrysler 1992 3,142 Chrysler AMC/Cryco merger 87'-89' Jeep was taken over last anywho, Was the Jeep SUV always way more popular ? Now i can see why Jeep is dragging there feet on producing a new pickup :fs1: Mike
  13. I wanted to know the same thing . . . Some body some place has of made a batch of cab corners . . . I wonder if i could have the local Fab shop make me a set of them, maybe stamp out a few set's of them :hmm: If i got enough I might not go homeless this winter  :rotfl2: Saved by rusty rotten MJ's  wouldn't that be a story for the ages . . . Mike
  14. Idle is fixed  It was an exhaust leak goofing up the idle :fs1:  Run's like a TOP now Mike
  15. where the exhaust pipe bolts to the exhaust manifold . . . 1 out of the 2 bolts fell out :wall: All fixed and running great I love my MJ . . . even when it pisses me off :rotf: Mike
  16. Fixed This is the oddest thing ever, Remember a few weeks back i mentioned an bolt fell out my exhaust and it was leaking causing my MJ to run rough and be rather doggy and sluggish ? . . . Well this Saturday I went in to the Muffler shop, got the bolt replaced sealed the leaking exhaust engine runs great few miles down the road i noticed the brake pedal was way firmer and the truck stopped lots better :hmm: :smart: my thoughts leaking exhaust = rough running = bad vacuum = weak brakes :hmm: Seems crazy to me :dunno: This is how it played out . . . :fs2: Stupid exhaust bolt :fs1: Mike
  17. :???: Ok then what dose it mean :???: The brake pads & shoes might be biting down hard but the truck takes forever to slow down, I have to routinely be on the brakes hard and down shift to get it to slow down at a decent rate of deceleration . . . Maybe i'm running it to heavy ? 85% of my truck is done in the 25-45mph and have to be on the brake fairly hard then down shift for a decent stopping distance . . . this has only become a recent issue normally i could take it out of gear step the brakes and it stops just fine but not as of lately so something is a malfunctioning . . . Mike
  18. my fluid is new DOT-3 Synthetic  Remember my whole braking system is brand new with about 7,500 miles on it   Master, booster, caliper's, wheel cylinder's, lines, pads, and shoes all new, drums n rotors where turned  I'm not dealing with old parts ;) Mike
  19. seems a bit pricey don't it :???: Mike
  20. So i just need more stopping power then ? Mike
  21. I have no issues with staying rear Drums I just want it to stop :fs1: Apparently my truck is getting tired of engine braking, it used to slow down good by down shifting but the last few days all its dose is rev up tight and continues on rolling :hmm: maybe the ol'2.5er is finally wearing down  Mike
  22. The reason i asked about those 2 axles is i have the D35 right now, But once i do my AMC V8 power train swap i'll end up with an AMC-20 . . . All that extra go power won't do me much good if i can't stop it ya know :hmm: Mike
  23. I did some goofing around today, I made up some lines and crisscrossed the ports. So the front line is pushing rear's and shazzam the rear brakes work . . . So for some reason or another the MC's rear brake port isn't pushing fluid under pressure :wall: Master is the issue then ? i am guessing . . . Side note: Rear disc brakes possible for the D35 & AMC-20 ? Mike
  24. Ya could prolly just swap over to Disc's at all 4 corners Ceramic pad's, drilled n slotted rotors oh ya you could really get to stop good  Mike
  25. :fs1: my rear brake are not working :wall: They are adjusted perfectly, spin the rear wheels stand on the brake tires keep spinning :headpop: So the front's have been doing all the stopping for a while . . . Mike
