I am thinking about switching to Mobile 1 cause its a decent synthetic oil and its fairly affordable . . . Its also very available too Wal-mart stocks it and most are open 24/7 . . . Only 2 local places carry AMSOIL one sells at list other sells above list, Neither one of them will honor a dealers license n sell it to you at cost . . . So to get my price I gotta order online and wait for it to show up ! ! ! Well after being an AMSOIL user for 12yrs and Dealer for 4yrs I have to say its not cost effective it really ain't ! ! ! Can't sell it cause its to expensive, when you figure in the renewal cost into what you save on your own usage its basically a wash . . . May as well of just bought it at full price . . . Now with this price hike its sounds like a complete money losing waste of time, Even more so then it currently is for me . . . Disgruntled Dealer/Customer ! Mike

I'll end up at the same payload & Towed load has the M715, My truck will look like the AM-General AM715/720s, look way better then the M715s I dislike the windshield and wheel wells ! Merry X-Mas MJ: I got a set of scaled down "V8" badges for the MJ featuring the early model "V" and later model "8" to go with my project. Blending the vintage with the more modern . . . Mike -

Idle air control valve, what is it ? Where is it ? Got anyphotos ? Mike -
Truck normally idled at 750rpm, now its idling at 850-950rpm and it still has a slight shake n shimmy at idle . . . New parts: air filter, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Last tune up I used the cheap stuff, silver cap n rotor kit, econo wires, and autolight copper plugs, Ran great for 7,000ish miles then picked up the rough idle and sluggishness. This tune up I used the gold cap n rotor kit, premium wires, and busch Fusion +4 plugs, Starts faster and has noticeably more power better fuel mileage, but still not what it. Was, Still has the rough idle and some sluggishness. Truck has been checked 5-7 times for vac leaks and have found none . . . 9K miles on fuel pump, 5K miles on fuel filter, Map sensor, TPS, and O2 sensor. Mike

I cracked the drain just to get a sample, looks like grayish/Milky color but it didn't sparkle ? My guess it sat 7 years with 187K miles its now at 197K n counting . . . Sounds like moisture and lack of maintenance to me. Mike -

Just tear it open then pour in 4qts of lube ? . . . Sounds to easy ! What's going to come flying out ? Really sounds like a project for me not to do, as I tend to smash and bust bend and destroy delicate inner workings ;-) Mike -

Now I tried the mobile photobucket yup that was a failure nothing special just 3 shots of a 290 on an engine stand, Well I'm going as quick as money and time will allow :-( ! Mike -

I got 5 bottles of the Mobile 1 75w-90 which is not returnable as the product wasn't defective ! So a fluid change out is what it will get ! At least I know its full and clean ;-) ! Fill from cab ? How ! ? Mike -

I would have ran the AMSOIL 75-90, guess what ? Its such a fine product nobody ever has any on there shelves ! ! ! But hey you can order it if you aren't in a hurry or can tell the future ! ! ! Farm n Barn stocked the Mobile 1 75-90 and 75-140 :-) More less I wasn't going to shove $100 worth of fluid, into a dieing trans $60 in fluid was a bit much but still $40 cheaper and I had it right now, ultimately this whole drive train is going to get removed and replaced with an AMC V8 power/ drive train ;-) ! Again thanks for the education, the 390 came in 10ish & 12ish the 290 n 343 where 9ish n 10ish . . . Both in 2bbl and 4bbl applications again except the 390 which was 4bbl and 8bbl. But AMC offered all the performance parts to make any of the 6 engines do as you wished. Mike
