Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. 92 4.0 AW4 lifted 7" on 35s. Factory 3:55 gearing gives me about 5-8 mpg :) - I should note, I literally got on here this morning to look at gearing info and came across this thread first
  2. Thanks Pete, appreciate the response!
  3. I'm in the process of SOA and am running an 8.25 rear end. I have weld on shock mounts for the axle, seems pretty straight forward.. What is the reasoning for everyone wanting to relocate the upper factory shock mount? It looks to me like I could just weld the new ones on the backside of the axle and both shocks to the factory upper mounts without any issues.. Just curious what the reasoning for everyone moving them is.. ?
  4. Thanks dude, looks good!
  5. What did you do for the front driveshaft?
  6. I'd be interested in any of the above as long as it's not the cheap material that shrinks after the first time I wear it and the sleeves never fit anymore, dammit!
  7. My garage still smells like penetrating oil from how much I used for disassembly for my lift 3-4 weeks ago! haha
  8. Method double standard. 15x8 3.5" backspacing
  9. Looks hilarious with no lift in the rear
  10. Got a bit done on the manche. Replaced the shot driveshaft u-joints, replaced basically everything in the front end, and got most of the front end lift done.
  11. OTC kit came in today, had it out under under 5 minutes and it was pretty rusted I'm sure you can tell from the photos. Thanks for the help guys
  12. Thanks guys, I ended up getting the OTC kit for $70 or so. Hoping it does the job, I'll report back when I get to it.
  13. Thanks 87 warrior but the uppers are no problem. The passenger lower is the issue, and it gets pressed down
  14. I'm redoing basically the whole front end, first time doing ball joints. Uppers came out as they were supposed to. When I got I the passenger side lower though I came across this... Have you guys run into the same problem? I'm considering cutting a square out of my ball joint press adapter cup but I'm worried it will greatly compromise the cup's strength and may not do the job... thoughts?
