I like the olive drab , before you change that main seal , check your valve cover . They leak at the back and runs oil all down the back of the motor , giving the appearance of a faulty main seal . Thats what mine was doing !

Well If you want too , take it back to the SOB that put it in there . Do a leak down test on it yourself , to check compression . If the motor is bad , tell him to get you a new one . My truck does the same thing , sometimes it almost sounds like a diesel motor knocking away . However mine has 200,000 k miles on a factory built 4.0 HO . Its kind of expected . :dunno:

Before you do that , check with your local body shops . They can usually find anything . :thumbsup: If not I'll check my supplier lists to see if I can get anymore of them .

pretty common with high milage motors or rebuilds . Probably doesn't mean anything bad . Those 4.0's are strong .

Pics needed . Most of the time you can cut it out and replace it , however if you get in good with one of your local body shops . You can find new fenders cheap . I got a rear full bed panel for 65 .00 new . No wasted time trying to straighten body lines , just cut and replace . If you do use any filler type substance . Use short hair Fiber glass resin , not Bondo. :ack: Yeah its allot harder to get off , but you won't see your paint cracking in two or three years .

I saw your pm . If you still want good clearance with 31x10.5 and don't want to replace WJ LCA's , than use a 15x8 with 4" backspacing , I don't have any rub with 15x10 , 31x10.5 tire some plastic trimming was needed , inside the fender . 2" lift needed .

:agree: Thats what the Auto zones and Checkers do anyway . They just clean up the housings a little and throw some stickers on there .

Sad thing is Jimoshel , we are smarter than the doctors sometimes ! My wife has been in the hospital for two weeks from a gastric bypass surgery gone bad . Every time I'm not there , something happens . Its always something , either the doctors forgetting to write up medications or the nurses not giving it on time . They better start paying me to follow up on them . They do a good job and all , when I follow up with them . Sorry for the rant . Nothing wrong with me , just a busted wallet !

It was given to my attention today that one of the best ways to set leafs up is to have them made by a good local shop . You will still get a good ride and they will custom make any length you want . Maybe Hell Creek can help you out with that . I have the AAL's , with no complaints but they do stiffen up the rear a little . I found a shop up here that will make a set for me , for about 250.00 . They also make springs for some after market companies anyway .
