  1. Everything is for sale! WHAT?! Is it in the classifieds?
  2. I think I've looked at this thing probably everyother day since I first saw. Finally printed off the pictures. I love it. I want it.
  3. Didn't see any. I'll look again tomorrow morning for any. So, odds are they won't be crap?
  4. Is there anyway to tell who made my lift coils? I was at the lift shop, and they told me they had some 3" coils for an XJ that the owner only had on for a week. He didn't want them for undisclosed reasons. I'm hoping the lift was too big/small or something like that. Got em for a good deal though. Is there anyway to tell who they're from? P.S. They're black.
  5. I turded myself.
  6. Haven't weighed it, but estimated 20 pounds in a 16"x16"x8" box was $67.05. Don't know how much that is in comparison to finding one locally, but if it's worth it, I'll get a more accurate price.
  7. Depending on the size of the money factor... I'd weld up your spider gears. If you're running meats on the street, expect things to break with a heavy right foot. Off-road and light-footed on road, it should be fine. This is my personal solution, that no one else ever likes, but it's cheap, and I'm 1/4 Jew, so I like it.
  8. Especially owning a Comanche :brows: so as soon as you get a chance you need to sell it and buy a ricer car :chillin: I got the 2.5... I got a ricer truck.
  9. Me likes! The tail lights are killer. I lost a blinker on my Toyota having a bumber like that! It's awesome approach for the tires, but no good if you don't want body damage. Good work!
  10. Lol, sorry for the thread jack on that one. Did you finish those?
  11. GIRsMJ86, if you wanna pay for shipping I'd be happy to help out a fellow MJer. I just need one to mount my spare on. DirtyComanche, I was thinking the same. I've heard aluminum rim horror stories as well though. Maybe everything has a horror story.
  12. I have aluminum rims that are 9" wide with 4" of backspacing. I also have steel rims that are 7.5" wide with 5" of backspacing. Aluminum: Steel: Does anyone know what the steel rims are from? A friend just had em. Thank you guys for all the help. Roadless, my top bolt is the one stripped so those ones plans won't work, but thank you. Think I'll just use a grade 8 bolt and the pre-existing tubey-dealy with some flux-core action.
  13. A buddy of mine, using a different brand, went under the rails and got alot of chipping because of it. Just one experience.
  14. I'll check out the disconnects at the truck shop and see if I can build a set. The portion where the links meet the bar is what's stripped. I'll measure the rims as soon as I get the chance. Pingpong, what were the rims you were running? I'm kinda afraid of cutting. My Toyota turned out great, but I wanna keep/get this truck purty and would hate to mess it up.
  15. Stock bumpstops are on. Don't know what to do for the swaybar. The current one has stripped threads and my father insists on me having it, cause I do alot of nighttime highway driving, but right now it won't bolt up. Is it acceptable to fendercut a Comanche if they rub? I know destroying the bed is unnacceptable.
  16. I bought some ProComp XTerrain 31x10.50R15s, and I've got some rims with less backspacing for them to go on. Apparently these are "true" 31s. My lift is 3" coils in front (according to the place I bought em) and 2" in back (lift shackles). Am I gonna need more lift to not rub? I have 1.75" coil spacers sitting around now, and I've got leaves for a bastard leaf pack that I wanted to do anyways, but will I be okay with just the 3"/2"? The truck's in the air STILL, and isn't ready to have tires under it in any way. What are everyone's thoughts?
  17. No problems behind the grill then? Pulled mine today and had about 8 snipped wires.
  18. I had dual cherry bombs on my V-8. That's 4-cylinders a bomb and I blew the left one in two weeks! No more of those for me.
  19. A big problem with the Wankel (Mazda's rotary) is the apex seals go out on em. People always think their motor's wasted and it makes a worse name for the engine. As far as performance is concerned, Wankels are phenominal. As far as reliability is concerned, they suck... they suck things that shouldn't be sucked. Also, they make poor low-end torque due to their "3-stroke" design. However, this is not a Wankel... A+
  20. Why? A Comanche with a blown engine is worth a lot more than a running Ranger or S-10, just because of the rarity if nothing else. Agreed.
  21. I got a $100 blown engine Comanche too!!!! Awesome!!!! Welcome!
  22. From Randy's Ring & Pinion: Toyota 8": 3.90 4.11 4.56 4.88 5.29 5.71 Dana 44: 3.07 3.31 3.54 3.73 3.92 4.09 4.27 4.55 4.89 5.13 5.38 5.89 Personally, I'd go 8.8 with rear if I was concerned with track width and bolt pattern. I've got stats and people's personal experiences on the strength of that axle bookmarked from Pirate. Their growing popularity will bring gearing and locker options about. As well, Explorers had them with discs... Nice. Ford 8.8": 2.73 3.08 3.27 3.31 3.55 3.73 3.90 4.10 4.30 4.56 4.88 5.13 5.71 6.14 Here's the Pirate discussion: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/archive/ ... 24854.html QUITE lengthy. I'm swapping out my Toy's axle with a 44 for track width concerns (and cause I got it for free). Need to go fullsize, not expecting much in the strength department.
  23. I want a Pick and Pull!!!!
  24. Does it still work on 3 cylinders? It's fun way to drive, and it sounds cool. Maybe unbolt the exhaust too!
  25. :smart: I think... this is awesome!
