  1. well, I'm been gathering some parts for this winter's modifications. here is a list have: rubicon express brake lines bumptops for front rear bumper shackles need: tubing for longarms, will be going with a true 4-link design rod ends limiting straps front Aussie locker money  shocks so pretty soon, it will be tear down time
  2. depends on what kind of terrain you run. obviously, they arent gonna be as good in the mud as a mud terrain tire. they seem to perform well on the rocks and trails though.
  3. exactly. this should be done for every vehicle you own. saves a lot of hassle if you were to ever get locked out.
  4. what do you do if you lock yourself inside the vehicle? :hmm:
  5. plus in one of the videos, the description says he is testing out a new "Cal-tracs type suspension". also he has slicks and internal rollcage. plus i've seen vids of it with a toolbox in the bed that definatly wasnt full of tools... also, look at the thing twist on take off.

  9. but, depending on the height of lift your going with, MJ's don't look that high when lifted. I'm lifted 6.5in with 33s and its about the height of a stock fullsize truck. i would think that you could get away with pretty much any reasonable lift (i.e. 8in or lower)

  15. thats what i would do. or you can piece together your lift with new/used parts which is what i did. while looking for a lift, make sure that everything listed above is included.

  17. don't go with a 3in shackle. thats way too much in my opinion. just go with an add-a-leaf or a whole new leaf pack. you'll be happier in the long run (especially if you go with a new leaf pack). for a 5in lift, you'll need to address the upper and lower control arms, brake lines, shocks, sway bar end links, tracbar...

  21. are you talking about the front or rear end. i think your talking about the rear since you mentioned leaf springs. I'm not sure what Rustys kit your talking about, but its probably an SOA kit. So that means you use your stock leafs but you put them on top of the axle.

  23. i run the Rustys Offroad airtube and K&N filter. I think it cost around $80 for the whole setup. There was a minimal power gain.
